Idle, but not.

I was tidying up prior to starting something else late yesterday and thought that you may like to see what is collected on my desk. Highly appropriate for T for Tuesday.
See, I was engrossed at my desk for the afternoon. It meant I couldn't possibly clear up, apparently. Although clearly, I could wander to the kitchen and get another drink!  The plain white mug is the cup of soup I had as a late lunch.  The souvenir of New Mexico mug is the after lunch coffee.  The spoon is in it because...I have no idea.  And there's a glass of lemon squash.  So be reassured gentle reader, I'm definitely staying hydrated!
I've had a bit of a play with this lovely peacock blue sparkly embossing powder and decided to make a Christmas card. So you see, although I was too idle to clear up after myself, it was because I was busy.
Joining Elizabeth and Bleubeard today.

If anything can make me laugh, it was this post. I can just see you heading to the kitchen, forgetting your mug, and getting something new to replace it. I'm glad you let us know what the embossing powder is for. That would be some really colorful tea or coffee, otherwise.

As for my illness, I think you are right, and I may have to bite the bullet and visit the ER. Sad, but true that both cats have a vet, while I've never had a doctor in Wichita.

Thanks for sharing this fun look at your desk piled high with drinking vessels for T this Tuesday.

Ha! I used to have an art table with a variety of mugs from the day but decided it wasn't such a good idea when more than once I ruined a perfectly good cup of tea putting a paint brush in it. Now any drinking mug stays on my side table for the most part:) Happy T day!

I am glad you explained the embossing powder then...I was wondering if it had a double use as a sweetener! Not that you need any sweetener of course...you are sweet enough!!

I'm not clearing up either, but I don't have a good reason like you :) Happy T(ea) Day!

Clearing up a work space is highly over rated, It is inspiring to have stuff out where you see it. I think I have that same white mug.

Oh Julia, you don't know how happy I am to find an other who seems to collect drinking vessels in one spot! I swear (oh ya sometimes!!) I bring a drink back to Betsy and have to move the last cup I drank out of, just to sit the newest one down!

Happy T-day

At least you collect drinks and/or drink containers on your desk where one might expect to encounter drinks. Just this morning I was thinking about my idiot brother and his family. I used to hate them coming over because you never know where they would leave their (hardly touched) drinks. I have cats. You can't leave mostly full containers of liquid just anywhere but they would and in the oddest places.

yay, I'm so happy I'm not the only one who gets too busy to tidy up but ensures the tea and coffee stay close by. Happy T Day :o))

Is lemon squash like lemonade??? I have a bunch of WOW brand glitter embossing powders ordered and I can't wait to get my itchy fingers on them!!! Ordered last week and they haven't even shipped yet. Rude, no?? Glad you're staying busy!!

ha ha may dear, you are not the only one! clearing up is not my strong suit...in my case there would be danger of the beautiful peacock blue powder ending up in my coffee! happy T day!

Your post made me smile not so much because I wind up with several mugs at the end of the day, but because I have a different mug for everything I drink!

You may not have any idea how the spoon got in your cup but at least its not a paint brush...! Been there, done that! Hugs! deb

Glad to see you've had plenty to drink. I strategically place bottles of water in my room so as I move around I have hydration. :-) April

I thought I left a comment, but apparently I was overcome by the idea of Christmas cards in February lol. The embossing powder is gorgeous. And when I saw your collection of beverage containers my thought was that you were at least hydrated : D.

How fun it was to see all your cups, you are hydrated enough for sure. How fun to be thinking/planning Christmas goodies early in the year. thanks for sharing.
