What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 299

Well, 299 weeks of this and you're still coming back! Amazing. On that basis, here's what you came for:
Unusually, I'm trying to do more than one thing at a time which leads to clutter and probably not a lot of achievement.  Still, at least there's something going on! I'm doing that thing where you steal five minutes here and there. So you can see the heart tissue paper in the foreground - cute huh - it was wrapped around a pair of new shoes.  I'm using some porcelain paints (at last) to decorate the contents of one of the boxes that have formed a tower on my desk for the last month.  That reduced tower is now covered with pre-scored card blanks for no good reason at all. In front of that you can just make out the painted papier mache hearts that have also been awaiting attention.  Do you sense a deadline?! The yellow and blag bag/basket thing contains my buttons, I crocheted it from a jelly roll. This probably makes it the most expensive storage in the world.
So show and tell will ya - we'd like to see what you're doing too..pop a photo on your blog and link here. That would be grand. Thank you.

Oh and..HOUSEKEEPING:
The WOYWW Crop takes place this year on Saturday May 16th, same times and location as before, here in sunny Wiltshire. If you'd like to come, you'll be very welcome.  Details and a sign up list will soon be available, but at least your diary is reminded!

Love the tissue paper laying there.

Well, you know I'll be there.. Love your button storage, even though I don't (still) really know what a jelly roll is... The heart wrapping from your shoes (posh shoes obviously) is fab! I save all kinds of papers like that, got some lovely stuff from round some flowers... one day I'll use it...yeah right!

I dropped by before bed as well - can't believe I'm in top 10! lol Great shot of your work table. So much tissue paper!

What does that mean, you crocheted it from a jelly roll? In my world a jelly roll is something to eat, a cake.
That tissue is so lovely, the shoes must be very girlie :-)
Have a nice day Julia!

What will you be doing with all the boxes? And I thought a jelly roll was material for quilting? Questions, questions!!!

Morning Julia. I think it was a great - if expensive way to make some storage .. Looks really good. Oh, how I would love to come down to the crop - and I'm not an ocean away - just too far for a one day trip - and can't leave hubby overnight. Boo hoo!!!
Take care. God bless.

I love that heart tissue paper. Yep, I'm a squirrel too. I keep everything that looks remotely usable.
I have no idea what a jelly roll is but the button storage looks great!
I've put 16th of May in my diary as we will be holidaying in the UK during May. (Although I can't take much supplies with me on holiday). It would be great to meet some of you 'in the flesh'.
Have a great week,

Well, five minutes here and there is sometimes more productive than sitting for hours faffing about. Still it's supposed to be therapy, not about achieving (or that's what I try and tell myself when it takes 3 hours to make 6 bunny cards I will sell at £1!!) Have a happy Wednesday and yep I shall be at the crop!! Cindy x

Wow! #299 what an undertaking it has been for you to keep us all in line and going in the same direction for 299 weeks! You have to be a magician to be able to keep us all lined up and very happy to boot. I have become so addicted to this that if you ever stop, I don't know what I will do on Wednesdays!

But be there we will. I save all sorts of wrapping stuff- somewhere I have some really nice corrugated printed card that was wrapped around an in-flight meal, lol. Huge Hugs, Shaz xxx

I love the bright coloured ink/paint bottles on your desk - it looks 'Springy' and happy to me! I had to look up what 'jelly roll' means and when I was past the cakes (a jelly roll is also a Swiss cake!) I thought indeed, that must be an expensive storage basket! I love it though! Happy woyww, Marit #41

I'm so relieved that I'm not the only one who has no idea what a jelly roll is -- other than a nice dessert, that is. LOL Lots of interesting happenings on that desk. And I'd better not mention tissue paper because I'd have to think about the stashes of it over here.....can't go there! :) Happy WOYWW.

I had hoped to join in this week, but life and time got in the way. I won't miss the big 3 oh oh, though.

I had no idea you could crochet fabric like that. Great use for a jelly roll you might not like to use in a quilt.

LOVE that tissue. Some girly shoes, no doubt.
