What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 276

I have been playing chase the day, hour, minute and so did not achieve much desking over the last week.  I have a delivery scheduled for today that requires me to be at home for three hours - three hours!  Guess what I'll probably do!  And if the delivery comes in the first few minutes of this given window...I won't tell.  I know you won't either, so I'm good for the afternoon off, huh!  And that's just as well, because really, I have a problem with my desk....
There's practically nothing on it!  I tidied up whilst Mr D was in here using the PC on Sunday evening and haven't quite made it back there...that will change today.  Because I have at least to kit tomorrow's workshop!  Ignore the garden waste bin...I used it a lot at the weekend and now need it to be in my line of vision to remind me to put it out for the Garden Waste Operatives to empty it. My iPad is lying down because the deckchair is currently taken by Quietfire stamps, waiting for my attention.  Oh the anticipation!  So that's it from me - over to you for much more interesting news on the Desk Front.
Please put WOYWW in your post title and make the post WOYWW relevant...not least because if your post is hard to find or isn't relevant, no-one will bother to comment.  Or I might remove the link...depends on the frustration level......

Ah, the anticipation of good things to come and Quiet fire stamps are very good things indeed.

Dont you hate having to wait for a delivery? Cant they pin themselves down to a smaller window? I guess thats business-you think they are going to have a lunch break inbetween huh!
Wow that is a tidy desk indeed but how can you prep a workshop kit in that small space?

Morning, Julia - don't worry - your secret is safe with me! I promise I won't tell. Trust you had a great time away - and that you enjoy the Quiet fire stamps when you get to them.
Take care. God bless.

Lovely desk today Julia. I really enjoy the natural light that seeps through. I find it very calming.

I like your red tape dispenser.

Have a wonderful week. I think I'm #9.

ah Quietfire stamps been promising myself some for ages... maybe one day:D although the dollar is dropping so maybe better wait...love the thought of crafting for three hours... enjoy yours, Julia!
I seem to snack on my crafting ie in bite size pieces... every now and again might actually string a few hours together.
I must get off here soon though as have other commitments happy WOYWW, Shaz in Oz.x #15

Waiting for deliveries is one of the most frustrating things I could think of. Sometimes they only give you the day and you wait around the clock and then, when you go get some needed groceries they come just during the 20 minutes you are gone. And you have to wait again.....
I hope this morning you didn´t give the coffee out of your hands :-)
Cheers and happy WOYWW

Wow dear friend, this looks more like MY desk than yours. And I'm not even showing mine until later today. I hate to admit this, but I've never noticed the grain in the wood of your desk before. And I'm a wood lover, too. Have a great week, dear. I'm hoping to be back next week.

Wow Julia, I don't think I've ever seen your poor little desk so empty! I hope you take at least all three hours to get it good and messy and creative! Have fun with your allotted time!

Poor Julia, having to twiddle your thumbs while waiting for a delivery! And you have an almost clear desk to do the thumb twiddling on, what sacrifices we wives make for our DBs.
Have a super afternoon and please share what you do with those stamps,

Oooh, I hope the delivery guy is really late so you get extra time on top. I nearly had heart failure when I saw nothing on your desk, all sorts of terrible things went through my mind but it's good to know you will be messing it up quite soon. Have a wonderful time "waiting for the delivery guy".

Oh dear your poor tidy desk. I'm sure you'll do your best to get it messy again..... Deliveries are very frustrating aren't they.... But at least it gives you time to play :-)

Hi Julia, I'm back! lol. Blimey, that is an extremely emptied desk- we all know it won't last though. 10 minutes crafting and you'll be working in a 5"x7" space, the same as the rest of us. Impressed by you having a Garden waste collection- we don't get that up here. Have a great week, Huge Hugs, Shaz xxxxx

Hi Julia and happy WOYWW. Once in a while it is nice to have an empty desk but I'm sure you'll have been busy today putting kits together but hope you also got some time to play. Bin day over here tomorrow too I've just been loading it up with garden waste. Cheers and have a wonderful week RobynO#27

Ha! No time to proper WOYWW this week, but I had to say I only WISH I could get away with that. DH watched the feed of the cameras from the office and seems to feel compelled to mention "Oh - I see the delivery arrived" in the continuously active IM window. Now he's added two MORE cameras, one watching the garage doors and one watching the oil tank (both previously blind spots) NOW he says things like "Why were you in the garage?" and "Oh go get your camera - an owl landed on the oil tank...."

Big brother is watching ME LOL! Anyway, back to my cleaning.......

Very tidy! I always love your desk with the window in front of it, who knew it could work as a reminder! My Mr. D is in charge of remembering to bring out our bins. A good thing as I never get the right recycling out! Have a fun kit making day! Winnie #36

I hope your frustration levels are not sky high! Waiting for delivery is so annoying, especially when they're not on time. When I worked I sometimes had to take a morning off work and then they didn't turn up!
I recognise what you do with the green bin. I do that too with things I need to remember...Put it in sight, preferably 'in the way' so that you can't possibly forget it.

I see we're at opposite ends of the spectrum this week, seems like your untidiness fairy fluttered over the pond to me. I really do like Quietfire, also had a soft spot for calligraphy, never bought any mind you, but will see what you make with interest.

I'm sure you'll have productive results waiting for that delivery because of your positive attitude. I snooped a bit beyond your desk and giggled over the coffee mug and keys in the fridge. The hello dolly tags are adorable. Thanks for sharing. Carole #59

I'm #54 to comment, and I'm #54 on the list! (I don't know where the other comments are, but should have been here...hmmm...people, you need to comment after you link!) Although I'm commenting HOURS after I linked because I linked while I was on the treadmill at 6 a.m. and then had a crazy morning in my office. So Miss Julia...a MAN at your desk! I guess I would also tidy up if my husband had to sit at my worktable, and it has happened. I think I love the anticipation of playing with new stamps almost as much as actually playing with them! Hugs! Sandy Leigh

Hope the delivery made it early, and you had a nice afternoon playing at your desk. Empty/tidy desk are much needed sometime to get een 'clean head' and start fresh, but I do hope your desk (and mood!) looks colourful at the moment! Enjoy the nice, sunny weather also (or is it colder across the Northsea? We have 25 degrees celcius overhere!) Enjoy your weekend. Love, Marit #46

Hi. Thanks for visiting me yesterday. It's a better late than never for me this week. My day yesterday started badly when I broke my glasses [and I see nothing without them...not even which box my spare glasses were in!!] I'm afraid to say that up til Christmas my WOYWW visiting has to be done on the Thursday because I have taken on an extra day with my twinnies but I promise I will still be visiting :-)
Hope your crafty time yesterday wen really well.
Hugs,

Nice to see someone else having time off from crafting because other things got in the way. Hope the garden bin was remembered, ours resides in the garage (I am a homewatch coordinator) so we have got into the habit now of putting the bins out in rotation.
Hope you find time to craft soon (if not yesterday afternoon (wink wink)
