What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 642

My desk is untouched. Honestly. I haven’t looked at it since last Wednesday. Really.  See, I went to meet my sister on Wednesday and as usual, we visited Mama in her care home. We sat rather longer than usual, or intended, over coffee and lunch because it was warm and sunny and that sort of weather in September is not to be missed. My house was internet deprived until early evening and I was rushing about a bit doing the things that I should have done in the afternoon! Can’t remember why, but I didn’t get to the desk or the computer at all on Thursday either, and on Friday, we left home for a weekend in other parts.
Strange, sunny, relaxing parts. So that’s today’s picture……I hope it inspires.
It does me. After visiting my sweet Mama again this morning, I’ll be a week closer to the card workshop and no further forward! I’d forgotten how inspirational a deadline can be!
Please join in with the show and tell; I’m about the only one that makes the terrible excuses, so it won’t be hard work to visit some of the other links and when you do….you won’t be disappointed!

Lol! Thought you had snuck away for a lovey holiday for a minute! An untouched desk isnt the worse thing in the world, especially when the time is spent sat with family. Have a happy Wednesday and be happy of the time.

Oh I don;t feel so bad now the 'jefa' hasn't touched her desk! I am not posting today for that reason and I haven't got a beautiful UK seaside scene to post. Ani

A time with family is never wasted Julia, it just shows that you have your priorities in order is all, that picture of the beach is just what we needed this morning it is awesome.
I am sure you will be ready for the card workshop, and if you are not as ready as you want to be I am sure only you will know.

What a lovely beach, and such a beautiful day. We have been lucky with the sunny days recently. I don't know about it inspiring me, it makes e want to go away again. Who knows though, it might mean I do a beach scene in my journal for tomorrow as I can[t get enough of looking at your picture. Enjoy yourself and enjoy your mama whenever you can.

Happy WOYWW. No wonder you are not at your desk. That beach looks amazing. Pembrokeshire has still been busy in the past couple of weeks, despite kids being back in school. Also my hip pain has been flaring again, so I didn't get to go to any beach in the recent sunshine. Ridiculous really when we live only a few minutes from the nearest beach. Always the same every summer. We almost hibernate on the farm. Only venturing out for necessary shopping/errands. I will soon be back to my winter routine of regular beach/coastline walks. I prefer an empty beach. Ali x #10

Good morning Julia, I think I can match you on excuses any day haha. I’m off to have a family holiday this week, so there’ll be no desk again next week. I guess we just have to roll with it haha. The seaside photo is very inviting, I’ll have to get down on the prom at Grange with my binoculars and look for it haha
Take care Lynn xx

Glad you enjoyed your Cornish trip. I’m sure you could do the workshop standing on your head! Deadlines are great motivation. You’ll rip through your prep in no time.
Take care and happy WOYWW

Hope you manage to get yourself organised in time. I know how you feel as I have a class at the Craft Club on Saturday and thought I had loads of time but suddenly the days are flying by. Nice beach pics too. We've had quite a bit on with my mum as the hospital lost the results of her tests but after much phoning by us and the clinic, they turned up! It's not easy having her in her own home but that's what they want you to do which would be fine if the carers were not so pushed for time. The companies take on too many people than they can manage. Have a lovely woyww, Angela x14x

Hi Julia, what a beautiful photo! I would love to be there right now! I have certainly had those weeks when I never set foot in my art room, so it's perfectly OK. Having a deadline though, does help! Have a great week, Lindart #27

Sorry I'm late, I've been doing 'things' and forgot the day. That sea looks soooo inviting! We are off somewhere where the sea is blue and the beach is sandy next week. Happy WOYWW ((Lyn))#29

Sounds like you had a nice trip! And what a beautiful view!
As to my little envelope, yes, our silverware for our meals were packaged in them! Cracker Barrel has been doing that for quite some time! And mine is now decorated for Halloween!
Hope your internet works perfectly!
Have a great weekend!

You are forgiven for not showing your desk, you have the best excuse there ever is: sun, laughter and bare feet in water! Hope your weekend is wonderful too! Hug from Holland, Marit #3

What a lovely seaside picture this week, Julia, in lieu of a desk. I hope you are managing to catch up a bit now with your workshop preparation. I am sure your mum really enjoyed your visit too. I hope your Internet woes will be shortlived.

Thank you for your visit and your encouragement over my treatment. The fatigue comes and goes but that's normal for me anyway so I don't think the post-radiotherapy variety can have hit yet, if it's going to! My skin is uncomfortable though - red, itchy and sore, but at least it's only in one small area and doesn't look likely to spread. I think I've got off pretty lightly really.

The stamp storage is progressing slowly. I've been sorting some other stuff for storage as well this week - more news on that on Wednesday. I am enjoying the storage project - it's quite creative in its own way.

Happy belated WOYWW,
