Well, first of all, thanks for visiting. I'm not here today, so my visits will be tardier and less than usual. Does that make sense? Ah well...at least if you understood that then it explains why we're friends.
And the fact that you can look at this and still come up with something that doesn't amount to hate mail every week.....
So what am I doing? I'm using H2Os to colour in my favourite stamp image of the season. As in - it says 'Happy Christmas' and whislt I have none, no, not one objection to being wished a 'Merry' Christmas, I think 'happy' in this context is decidedly English. British. I don't know, you tell me what you think. And why, you ask, after I've bragged about making writing and finishing cards, am I stamping and colouring some more? You may well ask. *Cue story*..I was driving home from a delivery and musing over the size of my address book. I can't remember why. But I damn near crashed when I realised that as usual, in my haste smugness, there were some hand deliveries that I hadn't factored in. Like our neighbours. How foolish. But also, how nice..am actually enjoying a bit of painting. Although it's not doing much to the germinating seed of panic that's inside me!
Come on then you movers and shakers, prove that you've moved on from Christmas already, show us your desks and what you're working on...put WOYWW in your post title and link your post here. No every-other-word-is-a-link-to-a-product type advertising please, it's difficult to read and frankly, the overkill means that ultimately, it isn't read.
So with that in mind..desk on!

Oh I made the top 5! And no I haven't moved on from Christmas...likely still doing projects after it is over LOL. Thanks again for hosting such a great fun event - have many sweet moments this week!
I think its inevitable that we forget things at this time of year...there is so much to remember as it is.
I would say its our age.....but we are far too young for that sort of thing!
Kyla
well done on making your cards..trace x
I have not made any Christmas cards at all! But I see how happy you are painting your cards and I am thinking maybe I can start 1 (1 only!)to send to a friend abroad for the New Year! Even your paint box looks like a little Christmas tree! :^) Take care while driving! patsy
I love the Happy Christmas stamp, especially the ones done on the kraft paper. That tin you have your H2Os in is fabulous...
the image is wonderful, no wonder it's your favorite. and your coloring makes it look really happy! happy WOYWW, Julia!
Happy Christmas Julia! With so many techniques to try our little H2Os get dusty, don't they? Happy WOYWW too! Nan 14
Moved on from Christmas not likely ... drowing in the stuff.
Sandra @18
I have moved on from Christmas cards, but I am making a exploding box Christmas themed.. I am enjoying the bits and pieces and hoping it looks alright when its all finished..
Merry Christmas
Sandy :)
Happy WOYWW. Hope your day away from us goes ok - missing you already! Xmas - I may have finished making cards (buying charity ones for the remaining 11 people on my list), but there is still the wrapping of pressies/packing boxes to send off with a courier (a lot of my family live in distant parts) and ensuring that all the correct food is in the house on the 25th. I need another holiday!! Ali x
Ah, I was feeling rather smug as I have done and sent (and hand delivered) my cards, wrapped the pressies (on my post today) but now I am wondering if I too have forgotten anyone....... must away to check now........ Hope your day goes to plan Julia. Hugs, Anne x #21
For once I am actually almost done on the Christmas card front, yay me! Hope where ever you are your having a great day x
hugs Minxy #23 I think x
Ooh! H2Os - what be them? Tell all... Happy Wednesday my lovely - it's a chilly one ain't it?! xxx
I don't want to move on from Christmas, I love Christmas, just not the mad panic and the horrible shoppers seeking out that perfect present and people being nasty when it is all about being cheerful. Anyway digressing. More cards for you to create, just as well you worked it out now and not be embarrassed when the wrong time came and went LOL.
Happy WOYWW

I recognise that fairy lights -pretending -to-be=leaves stamp from the other day! Like the krafty cards, very nice indeed :)
LLJ #27 xx
Love that Happy Christmas stamp - you got me thinking, you're right most of them DO say Merry.. hadn't really thought about that before, but we say Happy don't we... anyway, wherever you are today, hope you are warm and safe. Helen, 4.
love H2Pos but always forget I have some, and yes, it's Christmas on my
Oops didn't finish saying it's Christmas on my.desk as well this week.

Well yes I've moved on from Christmas, we don't really make a big deal of it here as it's just me and him although we do enjoy the eating of fine food and the drinking of slurpy booze on the day and the days leading up to the day lol.
I agree that 'happy' christmas is the way to go too.
Cheers,
Elaine #34
So where are you today then, hope it is somewhere nice. Like your H2O tins - chunks of cheese I think. BJ#36
Moved on from Christmas...oh you silly girl...just starting here--always seem to be a last minute lizzie! I have not used my H2O's in so long...I might have to get them out and give them a whirl again!
Hope you are having fun, wherever you may be!
You will tell the state of my mind when I say as I looked at your desk this morning I saw a triangular tin of sweets and a whole load of Pontefract cakes scattered over the desk top!!!
Hugs,
A x
Hi Julia.........................not a good start to the day for me today............. but I am smiling !!! so looking forward to visiting the desks of other crafters. Thank You for the opportunity.

Hi Julia,
Mm, not really quite here myself - not exactly true but wanted to pop over and let you know the great news - a WOYWW-er won my candy and can be seen on my desk earlier in month - for post see here:
http://calligraphycards-shazinoz.blogspot.com.au/2012/12/candy-results-woyww-ers-look-see.html
Had to smile at you forgetting folks for cards as I have done the same thing - but I was blessed as found a wee pile which had been inadvertently put to one side which met the need!!
Was so very grateful for that as not able to to do any crafting as my post say immobile to certain extent never dull over here :D
Love and God bless you dear kind caring Julia. I am sending you Christmas greetings if don't come back here before the day when we remember our Saviour's birth, Shaz in oz.xxx
PS apologise too as doing minimal blogging this is the first post have commented on in over a week I think..
Yes - I have used up all my cards too - will be knocking up a few more today!! x Jo
I'm still in denial....it's not Christmas for another four months.... want to get in the the spirit...but find the bottle neck a bit too tight!
I'd say... Merry Christmas and then...Happy New Year, when writing, but most likely Happy Christmas when saying.
I'm sure I had a little shoe like that one, have those tidy elves been sharing crafty stuff again? Like WOYWW! this week.
((Lyn))
I had a similar thing happen.... I was driving along feeling smug I had finnished my cards written and posted many... I to had forgotten some neighbours and also realised I had sent a card to Canada with a second class stamp on it!!!

It happens every year doesn't it. You make, sit, write and post all cards and feel very satisfied with yourself and then that dawning realisation that you've forgotten about 10 people and then the panic sets in!!!! At least you are getting to use those lovely little pots of lovliness to make those last few. Enjoy your painting.
Happy WOYWW
Hugs Lisax #45
Don't do cards so can't forget anyone that way. I contact all those I want to wish a "MERRY Christmas" personally by one or other of our wonderful mens of technology. I go with " Merry" as I think it really is essentially an old English. We MAKE MERRY at Christmas and I think it sounds right to me for the season. I do hope you have wonderful one whether it's Merry or Happy, Joyful or Peaceful or whatever!
Jo x
Oh, that smugbug always jumps up and bites us in the rear, doesn't it?! lol :) I hope you get everything finished you need to, before you run out of time...hurry hurry! lol You've plenty of time. :) Like days and days and days, almost like more than a week or so even, yah? And your workspace doesn't appear to be too much of a wreck at all, glad your car isn't either. :) Deeyll #48
Hope you get those final few cards finished soon. I'm getting into panic mode now but that's not unusual for me! Enjoy your week.
I have made no Xmas cards, and don't intend to, but thanks to Mum all the new neighbours have nice cards shoved through their boxes yesterday.
It's the only downfall living in a small village now, we have play nice and send cards!!
Love the desk as usual.
Hugs
Kay
I have done all my Christmas cards and made ten spares for when I realise I have forgotten people - love the Happy Christmas stamp you are using - have a great week
My Christmas Cards are done at least until panic sets in when I realize I forgotten someone!! Afraid I use al sorts of different sentiments from Merry through to Seasons greeting and even happy Holiday's!!! Figure I cover everyone that way.
Silvia #52
I'm still in the middle od xmas, plus birthday cards as well...will I ever make it! Francesca #55
The H20's look interesting - never used them before - they look very sparkly - something new for me to investigate!
I seem to be having commenting issues today :( But I wanted to ry a different way so I could say how much I like the gift card post - and love your enthusiasm!
Loving the H2Os myself at the moment - I got them 2nd hand from the UKS marketplace and I have found so may uses for them. I wish I had more colours! They look so pretty and sparkly - just what you want for this holiday season. as a matter of fact your post gave me an idea to explore. I get the best inspiration from WOYWW!
Happy day!
Mary Anne
(now, what number am I? I keep waking up at 5 then drifting off just long enough to miss the post going up... ah! 15!)
I love your Happy Christmas cards! 'Happy' or 'Merry'-- love them both! I dont' know if it sounds more British, but it sounds more modern.
Happy WOYWW!
Nadia #58
Oh yes it happens to me too - I just check off the whole list and I think of another name to add HUH!!!
Lots of hugs,
Cardarian
Thought i had all cards done like you julia until i got another couple of orders at the weekend but think i am finally finished now-i hope!
Love your Happy Christmas cards!
Happy Christmas and Happy WOYWW for you! ♥
xx
Roudi #61
I SO haven't moved on from Christmas yet, as you will see from my desk!
I love that tin
Jakix #63
I do love "Happy Christmas" it just encompasses all what Christmas should be! I thought I'd caught up with my cards too, then realised I'd mistakenly given them to the cancer charity instead. Never mind, at least the charity will make more money - positive out of a negative. Happy WOYWW! Karen 66 x
I agree, I much prefer Happy Christmas- maybe the Merry came from when everyone celebrated Yule with a gallon or two of mead, lol. And I really cannot bear 'Happy Holidays'- at least 'Seasons Greetings',whilst probably inoffensive to pretty much everyone, is a traditional Victorian greeting.Still typing left-handed, :) hugs, Shaz
I love Christmas too! I'm savoring the play time to make personal cards for family, friends and neighbors.
Loving the blog background Julia!! Very festive:) Sorry, can't show you anything other than Christmas myself this week as like you there are names being added to the card list still! At this rate it will be 1/1/13 when they all get finished! Love the look of your painting session here. Hugs, Jenny x
Sorry, that should have been Jenny #70
I'm always forgetting the odd card that I need to deliver or post which has for some reason been left off my list. I have never used H2Os to paint with...are they good? Enjoy your painting. Caro x #46
Hi Julia! It's so lovely to come here every Wednesday and see all the familiar names. Thank you.
Sue x (MiniOwner @64)
I love H20s and don't use them often enough - I was heartbroken when there was rumours of them being discontinued a while ago (might even have been longer than a while!)
Great looking desk as usual!!!

Lyn (Spyder) said exactly my comment... completely agree with her about what you put in a card - you can't say happy Christmas and happy New Year (bad grammar), so what Lyn says - and then you say 'Happy Christmas'.
Anyway - I can't move on from Christmas when I've hardly moved on TO it lol.
I'm starting to panic! It's bubbling...
hugs
Paula x x x
I love that "Happy Christmas" stamp. Happy is definitely happier than Merry. :) I do not have Christmas on my desk today but I haven't quite moved on yet either. I'm keeping the Christmas stuff out a few more weeks, just in case.
love those cute pie-shaped tins! Happy woyww! Lindsay #82
Oops! The neighbours! Not sure what happens here! There are a lot of them - 46 flats - surely they don't all expect one! Happy Christmas is lovely - your cards I mean - but yes, Happy is what I want to be this Christmas Chrisx 81
All I hear over here is Happy Holidays which I always correct, or reply back, Happy Christmas! One holiday at a time please, lol!! That's a great focal stamp and I can see you're having lots of fun with it and the H2O's, so many colour combinations to try. Anyway, you know me, I'm never done with Christmas! Soon be time to start scoffing the mince pies!
Hugs
Brenda 73
Sorry not to be taking part this week - please miss, may I have a hall pass? Hope to be back to it next week though!
You will need to be very brave to take a peek at my post today.....hopefully next time I will have some wonderful photos to share!
Karen x
Here is sunny Arizona, USA, you hear both Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas. Happy Christmas isn't so popular. Anyway, I like H2Os and keep forgetting my stash! May have to unbury them and play!
Happy WOYWW!
Carol N #79
I've linked up anyway.... LOL
Finally got here, what with my shower slipping antics & then trying to do what needs to be done, I'm later than my previous weekly attempts! Hmmm yes I'm always sure I've forgotten someone on the card front. I think I've only got my nieces left to make for, I hope anyway. your desk looks as always inviting. Your pots of H2Os are enough to want me to get in my car and come and play, but you're not there, and I'm not up to it today, so we'll take a rain check till another time! Take care lovely. Zo xx 86
I am still making the dreaded Christmas cards. Actually, I have just started LOL. My desk looks way worse than yours today. Not sure if that is good or bad.
Happy WOYWW!
Tertia #11
Your desk is very busy, I forgot to put a picture of mine this time. Thank you for another WOYWW.
Have a great day!
Nora
Hello!
That is a very busy workdesk my dear! I am so behind this year with my Christmas cards and trying not to stress about it. Today I am taking off a day to work on my puzzles. Wishing you a great rest of the week!
Hugs,
Barbara Diane
In an attempt to remember I add names to the list at the end of Christmas and buy cards for just about everyone and make for only arty friends or people i know appreciate it. Merry or happy is a laugh in the USA after all the money, wrapping and fuss made over gift giving because they spend boxing Day (UK day only) returning gifts!!!
Happy Christmas..yes, decidely British (Very rare here in the states-where Happy Holiday's is becoming the "norm" so as to not offend-which annoys me: my holiday is Christmas, and I'm not offended if someone wishes me a Happy Hannakuah! Garr! Do you have to deal with such malarky over holidays over there??sorry, venting)
While I do love the look of the H2O's, I haven't bought into them yet...though making a paint out of the Perfect Pearls is pretty darn cool, and will probably lead me to the others pretty soon! Have a great week.
I'm glad you're having some fun with a favorite stamp and pretty H2Os. I like the phrase "Happy Christmas" too -- very British indeed. There are so many things to keep track of this time of year. It's hard not to let the feeling of being overwhelmed take over. I actually groaned aloud when there was a note from school about sending in something for the kids' party next week (I'm sending in paper plates -- ha!) plus a small "girl" gift. I only shop on the weekend, so I add to my list. But in a fortnight it will be over for another year and we'll feel both relieved and little bereft. Better to see it as a toboggan ride -- hang on, let your scarf stream behind you, and have fun!
I thought that I had finished my Christmas cards but then remembered a few people I needed to write one to and I guarantee I will forget someone, I do every year!
WOW what a busy place !!! This is my first time participating - will take me a whole day to check out everyones blog LOL
Actually, now that I've finally gotten my Christmas cards in the mail I feel like making some. I think I will do just that when I get crafting time again. I have it on good authority that the Christmas thing will come around again next year! I remembered a few last minute cards too but I had a few cards lying around. I need to remember to add these people to my address book so they don't get forgotten again.
I like the Happy Christmas sentiment. I can't say if I feel it is British or not. I like it because it is different. Happy WOYWW!
God bless Mrs. Dunnit! You completely reminded me that I need to stitch a card for my dear next-door neighbors--they are the sweetest, and the other day, the husband was at an auction and bought me something! Who does that? They are precious, so off I go to get their card stitched up! From my American point of view--I love to hear "Happy Christmas"...I like it better than "Merry." But, no one here says Happy Christmas. Too bad! I think I have some British in my soul! Now, be careful driving, and make a to do list, so these things don't just hit you like that! Hugs dearest! And I'll welcome your visit any day any time you are able--we are all crazy busy! Happy Christmas and WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #94
Love to visit your desk, there is always something of interest going on. I always wonder if I have missed someone even when I know I have checked my card list at least 3 times..... shall I go and check again?
Happy crafting
Toni :) #94
I find painting quite soothing!
Hope you get this next batch of cards done with out any of those panic seeds sprouting!
Laura 97
I mostly do digital cards as most of the people I send them to are overseas...and I'm behind with them! Where HAS 2012 gone to?
Ah, NO, I haven't moved on from Christmas! (& probably won't until the 24th!) My cards are finished though & now I am on to a few tags & gift card holders. I don't mind either Happy or Merry as long as it goes along with Christmas!!!!
Hugs, Renee #101
How relaxing a bit of painting, in the mad run up to the Christmas celebrations, enjoy, hugs Erika.
Oh I've only started with Christmas - still plenty of time yet - last post isn't 'til next week after all! :0)
Bernice
I have jumped in the hysteric phase myself just getting home from a great time cruising the Caribbean looking for Capt. Jack Sparrow and enjoying an occasional rum punch or whatever they put in my hand. Going to start decorating today and leave it up till middle of Jan. Don't have the cards out and can't find the damn address book to write them anyway. Put out a call on my groups asking for addresses so hears hoping they get back to me soon. Hope you have had a couple of good weeks. Missed WOYWW whils on the boat! Vickie #3
I am so excited to have posted my first work desk Wednesday!!!
Hoping to continue this each week :)
Thanks!
Hi Julia, the aerial shot of your desk is makes an interesting change. I'm still writing up cards too ... finding it hard to keep up, never mind get ahead, this year. I prefer Happy Christmas but Merry is okay, especially if it's coupled with Happy New Year. Hope you had a good day today. Happy WOYWW, Elizabeth x #32
PS: Thanks for popping over earlier on in the week. I'd no idea you had chosen the same wintery template ... two great minds and all that :)) Elizabeth xx
is there life after Christmas? I don't have time to panic .. .. and your tin of H2Os has remined me I need to get shortbread biscuits for my white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake alternative to pud .. .. better get a big packet as some are bound to end up in my coffee!
hugs, annie x
Hi :)
You have a newbie here lol.
Just thought I would stop by & take part :) Thanks for having me.

lol there is always one.. I have a few extra cards in the event someone else pops into my head ...not being smug though as not organised in any other respect yet !! have a great week and love the cards simple yet perfect.. enjoy your painting x #28
hi Julia
I really shou;d be panicking about what I haven't done but hey can't be bothered, I dont know it that is good or bad of me.
anyway Love those triangular tins ... did they come with cheese in?
have a great week
janet #24
I am still making Christmas cards no moving on for me - and wash my mouth out, have had to give in and buy some. I am so far behind I don't think there's a snowball's chance in hell of catching up. Ah well teach me to start earlier. Happy WOYWW Anne x #110
Woah! 86 posts before mine - I have a lot of reading to catch up on!
I hope it's okay that
a) there is no photo of my actual desk today (actually, you would probably all run away screaming in horror, if there was!)
b) my post is about stuff I have been making for my online shops... It's not supposed to be advertising, I'm just proud of the results. Hope that is alright?
Off to add the WOYWW link to my post, then read some of this huge Linky List!
Just re-read your post, Julia... (concentration is pretty close to nil just now..)
Loved the story about nearly crashing the car!
And I don't think I'll finish any home made cards this year... they are half done and likely to be next year's cards instead!
Love the idea of colouring a stamped Happy Christmas (yes, very British!), with twinkly paints. I may just try it!
The only way I can make sure I include everyone in the card list is to have everyone in my address book with a tick for those that need cards. Then I print out labels for all the envelopes. That way, if there is a label left on the sheet, I know I have missed someone out. It does not stop the panic though. Hope you enjoy all your painting and I am sure the neighbours will love them. Have a good week. xx Maggie #33
Two hours of searching for missing keys this morning put me right out of sorts. Just coming round now and its bedtime. Think my head has gone to the north pole. Spent a while thinking (and getting no answer) about the set of books that arrived which I must have bought for someone. Now not a clue who?
I am really losing it!
Hugs, Neet xx
LOVE twinkling H2Os. You can't go wrong with them. But your triangular storage box, although cute, made me wonder how I could store triangular boxes and there was no answer to that one. Obviously I have too much time on my hands! :)
RosA #114
Dear me, I almost forgot to photograph and link today -- and not with the usual excuse of busyness, either, just a sort of lazy forgetfulness. And yet I'm an earlier number than usual -- I bet lots of people ARE busy and haven't managed to make it this week.
(#115)
Gonna dig my H2Os out for a play - over the Christmas hols I think, when things calm down :)
Belated Happy WOYWW, Di xx
Hi Julia, I do miss you all. I just have not been able to get posted since the time change. Hope to make it next week. Joynana
I love your Happy Christmas cards, they are beautiful. Have a wonderful week. LisaDV #116
Wish I could say I've finished my Christmas gifts, but alas that is not so. But I love H2Os. They are the only watercolors I use, although it looks like you have a LOT more than I have.
I love the H20's...Another plan for 2013. I'm beginning to see the light at the end of the Christmas prep tunnel. Have fun finishing your projects.
