Having said all of that, I can't show you my whole desk today - it's covered in stuff for 2 Scrap Ladies which has to remain semi-secret for now. So how about a glimpse of what I did yesterday. It's basking in the spotlight (literally) of my new lamp. Because of an 'Energy Aware' campaign at Homebase, the spotlight bulb is a frightfully eco-friendly affair that will last me a minimum of five years. It had better, young man. It cost more than the bloody lamp! Sorry, digression. The big peg (for that's what it is, coated in lime green acrylic paint and then had Anita's candle transfers applied down the left edge. (Also down the centre back, but I didn't photo that!). The transfers are a breeze to use..cut them to size first though...once on they're a bit fragile under the knife and tend to rip when softened. The chipboard letters are from old un-matching stash, embossed in brown 'Espresso' I think, powder. The best part for me was discovering that the cropadile will punch a hole through the thinner end...you could go mad with ribbon! And the other nice thing about this peg is that it has a twin when naked - I love two packs. So I turned the other one upside down to use as a photo holder. No paint here, just a rough rubbing with an inkpad and some scraps and snips. It's for Miss Dunnit's boyfriend see, we feel he deserves a big ol' picture of her. And his name starts with O. We like to call him the Big O. Because it makes him blush. But really, he's very tall, especially among Dunnits!
So come on then - What's On Your Workdesk this Wednesday? Grab a button from the margin if you want to - either way though, show us your craft surface, untidied and in all it's glory. Leave a comment/link and we'll trot round to your place!

this is so much fun!
Love your peg Julia. Will do my best to blog my WIYWW later. It's been pretty hectic here today so far with everything from army cadet jackets to stitch labels on to posh frocks to alter and bridesmaids dresses to steam later [Oh and my sister has picked all my remaining beetroot etc for me to make some pickle with at some point!] :-) Never a dull minute here :-) A x
Loving the peg and reeling with shock at the cost of saving energy these days!!! It is a good job that Miss Dunnit knows what day it is! We call my daughter and her boyfriend 'The Borrowers' ... only when they are out of ear shot mind ... and not because they borrow things ... but because they are ickle people ... really ickle!
OK ... my WOYWW entry this week is here!

Love your pegs, that lime green is a fantastic colour :P Is that a certain 'Mary' I see poking out? Was it ok? I couldn't for the life of me get a crisp image all the way round. I've now got new found respect for stampers ;)
Not sure if I'll get WOYWW done today - My back is in agony so not done much :( Just hobbling around like an old woman.

Have just blogged my WOYWW ... on the right day this week. Nothing very exciting as I am at a 'thinking' stage. lol
If it were not for my amazing 80 year old neighbor, I would rarely get the bin out on the right day ...he insists on doing them for me ...says it keeps him fit.
I love those pegs especially the one for 'Big O' .... with all that blushing do you thing it may not be his height it refers to lol
Well have to say .. this is fab.. and from what I see it's tidy .. well done you , lol

Brilliant Peg!! would love to see more of those you have made!! We have some of those in the shop! must have a go at one! I was not sure what you meant by "the cropadile will punch a hole through the thinner end" is that the thinner end of the peg? :0)
