What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 671

There’s a saying along the lines of ‘if you want to get a job done, give to a busy person’. Well, since we came home from Spain I’ve decided that I am the poster girl for that saying, whatever it actually is. The ‘to do’ list was looking silly and included several cards and nice things I want to make for people I want to be in touch with. Normally, I would let these slide down the list because time at my desk is as much about ‘me time’ as it is about production of cards etc. but this week, (bearing in mind it’s actually only Wednesday), I’ve bounced out of bed and sat at my desk for the first couple of hours of the day and been productive. Then I’ve turned my attention to the rest of the list. It won’t last, but for now, it feels grand!
Works in progress! A birthday card made, a New Home card in the pipeline and real daylight to show it off. I really love the spring timeline!  I can’t say that I’m brimful of inspiration, but I have enjoyed the making and the freedom from the guilt of spending too much time or no time at all doing what I love!
Now then, let’s have a show and tell from you too please!

Pleased you had a good time and got back okay what with the flights being a problem at the moment. I always find that you have a great time away and in no time at all you are back with loads to to do and catch-ups but it's worth it and you're obviously full of beans at the moment so happy woyww, Angela x10x

Totally concur Julia with the feel good feeling..
… mind you my time line is not yours, it was still morning and you had cards done etc. .. I wasn’t even here for morning, still an off period at mo, health-wise. Today was so crummy I decided blogpost was my important thing, till other matters inevitably intruded called life, but here I am!
Have blogged one crafty post in six weeks… chaos still reigns, but hey ho, and away we go.. I’m here! Might be after 10pm and bedtime here though so yet again saying hi will be minimal. My nights are so bad at mo, I dare not do my normal stay up late.

Glad you’ve had a break that sounds so nice to me. And cards made is simply wonderful.
Thanks for Sharing, may our loving Father God bless and keep you safe, and all those you love,
Prayer hugs Shaz in Oz.x πŸ™πŸ€—

Can't remember the last time I "bounced" out of bed Julia. I am more the slow one leg out and then the other type.
I do hope your little holiday in the sun did you both a lot of good and you got lots of sunshine coursing through your bones. Surprising how a bit of sunshine makes such a difference to my mood - wish it would shine for a bit!
Hope your mood lasted longer than you thought it would and you got more crafting done to lift your spirits.
I've just done my blog post for tomorrow, with a lack of enthusiasm, not good fun when it becomes a bore. Ah well, got a card to make now so that might be a bit better and guess what? The sun has come out but its still cold.
Hugs, Neet 1 xx

That saying is certainly true for me! I get so much more done when I have lots to do. But at least you are busy, which is nice. Have a great week, Lindart #18

Hi Julia, so glad you’ve got your mojo back. The bara brith recipe is here if you want a go. I add lemon zest and juice, use apricots instead of cherries and cover the top in almonds.
Take care and have a good week

Ok, I'm really late! Nothing like the last minute! I know that busy feeling and it seems like it never ends! But yesterday I got 3 cards made for my May class that I want to show at this Friday's class. Need 1 more but probably next week. Do try to take a breather now and then!!

I’m glad you’ve been enjoying the sunshine after the lack of it in Spain! We didn’t do much either over the Easter weekend but pottered around. Those letters are massive, what are they for then?
