What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 666

I’m not superstitious, but the week number did make me do a double take! Not as much as my desk will make you start though…..
Will you look at that! Tidied! Whilst clearing the surface, I found several images that I’d stamped as test runs and decided to employ them. I’ve managed to acquire a handful of 4” square cards and envelopes of different colours. There’s one of each of about 10 colours, so I’m colouring the images to match the card and then using random scraps and stuff to embellish. As I have about 12 March birthdays and some of them involve men, these will work nicely. New to the view at far right is my set of blending brushes and their clever holder. These were part of a Christmas gift from Kathy and I’ve only just been brave enough to use them…game changing, I can’t show you of course, because my make was so lovely that I got smug and sent it without photographing it! There will be more though, without doubt!
Thank you for your kind words about the loss of my Mama, what a lift you are. Please forgive my appalling lack of comments last week, I visited, but somehow just didn’t have the oomph to talk.
So, give it another go this week, show and tell on the Workdesk and life front, let’s see what you’re doing, please!

Yay I love a tidy desk - LOL great that you found stuff whilst putting away and could use too kerching. I too wasn't up to visiting let alone commenting last week after the Covid but am feeling a lot better this week but it too has it's life changing happenings as our only child leaves home Saturday and it's been a fraughtful few weeks for him to sort his accommodation out in Cambridge as we are in Surrey. You don’t need to apologise Julia, we think you’re a real trooper for posting and keeping us all linked up. Hope the week has not been to hard for you.
On a lighter note the wandering welder has 666 on his van registration plate. I got it him for his 60th birthday, his initials are also a part of it. At the time he had a red van and folk used to peep their horns at him as they passed. It was sometime before we made the connection with Manchester United and the Red Devils. Doesn’t happen as much now the plate is on a silver van

Lovely tidy desk and worry not about not commenting in a week of sadness. Hope you are doing well and happy to see you are crafting away! I think my eyes are going as never mind Finding Waldo (Wally?), I can't see any blending brushes at all!
DOH!
Hangin' in there for WOYWW

Love the organised desk, it's interesting what can turn up during a tidy- this week I found a cutting mat! Glad you put your test runs to good use. For the life of me I can't find the blending brushes but I'm intrigued as to what the clever holder is as I need a storage solution for mine. Hope you are doing Ok, gentle crafting can be such a beneficial distraction sometimes - glad you are indulging.

Blimey, thought I’d come to the wrond desk for a minute… ;-). I often forget to take pics of stuff before it gets sent off, you’d have thought I’d have learned by now but hey ho. Am glad you’re ok, looking forward to a catch up asap.

I think a lot of us were surprised to find you posting at all last week. I expected it to be LLJ taking over. Loving thoughts are heading your way.
Well Julia, I searched and searched but could not find, then two hours later I searched again. Think I need to go to Specsavers, cannot find those brushes. Love the nifty guillotine though and dare I ask - how many pairs of scissors do you use at once?
Gentle Hugs, Neet xx

Sending much love your way Julia, apologies not needed. An old lady told me grief never goes away, it just gets easier to live with. My mother died more than 15 years ago, I still miss her and think of her. Treasure the memories xx Angela #5

No worries about not feeling up to commenting, Julia, I was ready for you to miss a week of WOYWW if needed, though I know that’s against your principles. Sending you big hugs.
The blending brushes sound interesting.
How nice to find something good when tidying. Tidy women don’t get such nice surprises!
Take care and happy WOYWW

Wishing you a "happy day", I think we all go thru a non posting day as we just aren't up to words for posting. I find music helps somedays and somedays it creates the tears. Well it's Sis's birthday and I've got to prepare a few fun things. Enjoy a great weekend.
