Meanwhile, get me, I’ve cleared the old desk.
Actually, there’s not much to see is there! I cleared at the weekend and haven’t been back to it since. I actually in real life, pinch me, went to Kraft Crazy the shop on Saturday. It was lovely to see Shopkeeper Gal in her natural habitat and she very quickly assumed her typical role and relieved me of a wedge money. Some of the spoils are in a small pile under the double sided tape. More Janet Klein figures. I’ll get over them soon, probably. I’m still doing the rainbow scrapbook challenge but am not really feeling it to be honest. While I was searching for red last week, I managed to marry this photo of my sister with this long ago painted-on paper. That’s as far as I’ve got; even my formulaic formula isn’t doing it for me at the moment! The presence of the tea towel shows that I’m still trotting the plants in and out. We’ve had three consecutive frost free mornings now, but the ground is so dry that the plants are better off in pots for a few more days. Talking of better off...that’s how it works for me if you show and tell too please. Don’t forget to put WOYWW in your post title!

Lovely shot of your tidy desk - The view out to the garden so reminds me of the week we saw Mr Dunnit lying prone under a ladder! It will be fun to do a swap (and I updated the printable ATC backs I did for the 6th anniversary crop for people to download if desired) an oh, Kraft Crazy...I miss actual scrapbooking and stamp shops so much! One day soon I hope.
Have a lovely day.
Mary Anne
Although a busy desk is fun, it's good to see a tidy(ish) one too... and the view into the garden. It's been the frostiest April on record apparently, they've just confirmed on the weather forecast.... hope you can plant your plants soon! I forgot to look for a postcard when i was out at the weekend (saw some at Kew but I don't live there (sadly!) Have a great week
Cool that you've been to a craft shop in person Julia. Hope you get the plants out soon and find inspiration for your scrapbook challenge. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #3
You sound a little like me - the mojo thing. I heard on the news last night that in the UK April had been the frostiest month of the year, so best to keep the plants in. Ani 9
Morning! I can hear them talking, can't you, the plants? 'Get me in, get me in! It's cold out here, and then, in the morning, it's, 'get me out, get me out, the sun's up, we're missing it!' It doesn't help, that hubby does the voice overs, not only for the plants, but for the cat too, 'feed me! feed me! I'm hungry! I can see the bottom of my bowl,I haven't been fed since one o'clock this morning!'
I think I'm going a little bit mad... I love your jungle/flamingo paper, I think I have something simular...(I will now spend the rest of the day looking for it)I spent a fiver in HobbyCraft, only to be told by the very nice man, that I could still have my March birthday discount, of five pounds off... would've bought more if I'd known! and as for the towel on the floor, beats my very old holely stripy ones all day long! I would think those little people might complain about the plants being too heavy and making their little faces, dirty. Happy WOYWW!? Stay Safe! ((Lyn))#8
its so nice to be back and reading your WOYWDW posts have missed them.
Hope you are well,

How lovely to have shopped for real....and to have made lots of purchases too....this is what we’ve missed and need lots of isn’t it? I’ve made a purchase this week but am still waiting for it to arrive so that may be for next week....and I’m blaming Jan entirely 😀
Hugs,

Hi Julia, Loving the new look desk. Is anyone taking bets on how long it will stay like that?:) LOL
Happy WOYWW

Mrs. Dunnit? Might you correct my early morning mis-spelling if you get a moment? Still sleeping badly after the jab and neither my fingers nor my eyes were working right I guess...
:)
ATC backs for the 12th to download on my blog :)

So pleased that you have been able to visit a crafty shop in person!!
Lovely view from your tidy (I think) desk!
Hi Julia, just popping in to say hello, not linking up today. I thought I'd better get a move on those ATCs for the swap. Well done for clearing your desk - certainly an inspiration for me to do the same and possibly a necessity as well. Hopefully, that's the end of the morning frosts now - although I said the same thing last week and we had some hard frost afterwards. Fingers crossed! Have a lovely week and see you next week! xx zsuzsa
Hi Julia. Love that paper on the tidy desk. Have also been doing the in out,in out thing with the plants 🪴 :-( hope it warms up soon!
What fun to go and shop at Cdaft Store in person! Lucky you. Have a great week. Anne x 19
Hi Julia, nice to hear you were able to do some shopping. Bet the shop Gal is pleased to be able to see her customers again. I know you make plenty of cards but I can't remember the last time we saw any of the finished ones. I would love to see them. I'm sure you will soon make that desk untidy again so have fun. Happy creative woyww, Angela x14x
hello! 'tis me . . .
Managing to do a post . . . .
just connection but will catch up later. I have to say that I have a load of Janet Klein/Vera Lane images but digital images, going back some years now. I just love them, and the bonus is that they are so easy to cut out. I am not sure about stamps ....
Off to catch up
Have a good week

Retail therapy sounds fun but sadly we have no fabric nor craft shops left in our town😢 Happy gardening!
Yay for going to Kraft Crazy, hope Tracy is doing ok - of course you had to buy some more stash, it’s the law! We’ve been busy too, pottering and walking, not proper work like you! Rhys got his first Moderna jab last Friday, Helen rang at 8pm and said there were spares, so we got to Llanelli in 15 minutes from standing start!
Hugs LLJ 6 xxx
Hi Julia, omg I thought I'd come to the wrong place for a second, that is SUCH a tidy desk! :) Aaaah crafty shopping is the only kind of shopping I miss - I have done quite a bit of online shopping but it's just not the same is it? Have fun messing that desk up and I hope you're able to get your plants in this week. Annie C #21
Good morning Julia and a happy WOYWW to you! I went to bed late after doing my post, and slept till 9:30, then I had a cuppa and went back to sleep! You have a very clear desk today, I am not even showing a desk today because any crafting being done has not been done there. We are soon away in the caravan and deciding which items to take is hard. Normally I take as much as I can fit in because how do I know what I will feel like doing, but my husband is planning on a new caravan which much less storage space, so I thought I would try and take less this year. Angela #16
Well, I was thinking of some plants for the patio at the caravan but it is too cold as yet and I still have not been to a shop (since March 7th ish last year). The first will be the garden centre - for eggs, real lovely farm ones - and some plants might just fall in the basket.
Must have been lovely to see Shopkeeper Gal in her shop - and to buy some more of those adorable figures. Addictive or what? I must stop buying them myself.
Right, must get on - fell asleep again and now am rushing.
Hugs, Neet 2 xx
Love the tidy desk, and I'm rather taken with the flamingo paper. I bet it felt good going into an actual craft shop, I'm itching to get to Hobbycraft!
Have a good week

A little retail therapy helps the world to keep turning is my mantra. At least we use all the goodies we have and share the love. So nice to see you are getting out and the sun is peeking through in your lovely garden. Have a creative week.

Hi Julia, thanks for your encouragement! So glad you got to visit a craft shop personally in person! Enjoy your clean desk while it lasts. I hope your mojo returns soon, maybe try a different craft?
Have a good week

Goodness, I'm so sorry! I linked up, went back to bed (vaccine headache) and then forgot it was Wednesday! How fabulous to have seen craft supplies in the flesh! I mean, un purchased supplies of course. Fab paper for that layout - full of joy! Stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #5
Good Morning Julia, every time I think about you hauling your plants in and out I get the random thought that maybe just maybe I should haul the lavender I decided not to remove from the pot last fall and left in the pot and hauled it into the garage to over winter and I think to my self you should haul it out. but, it snowed here all day last Sunday so, maybe next month is my new motto for that. :) I tend to be a person who likes rainbows better when other people do them so, I am impressed you are giving that challenge a go. ~Stacy #24
Julia, you are so funny! It's always a kick reading your posts!! I wouldn't be feeling the scrapbook challenge either.....just saying. No disrespect to you tried and true scrappers, but it's not me.....AT ALL! LOL Sooooo glad you got to go crafty shopping! I know it probably felt like you were in a movie or something!! And....you got to spend money!! Woop! Spending money on the crafty goodies somehow gets justified in my mind....EVERY time! LOL Have an AWESOME Wednesday and rest of your week! :) Felicia #27
no desk this week as pay the bills job bit full on but wanted to pop by and say hi and not done any atc yet BUT did sketch a local postcard!!
kyla
Lovely tidy desk! I'm sure you will do it justice! We don't dare take our plants out yet, it still could even snow! Have a great week, see you in May! Lindart #28
Another busy desk and a nice little glimpse into the garden, too. Thank you for your visit - I am really hoping to get the kitty throw finished by mid-May in time for my hubby's birthday and the Big Reveal! I'd love to see some photos of your local Montana - they really do grow to an impressive size, don't they. Don't worry about my wacky imagination!! If you didn't know by this time that I'm just a teeny bit crazy... Haha! I really enjoy squeezing as much fun out of life as I can, and love looking for alternative views of things.
Happy WOYWW,
Shoshi #18
So cool to have a tidy desk ready for the next project. Love seeing the green grass through your window.
Have a wonderful week!
Carol N #26
Hello, such green grass...ours is coming around. 2 WKS of shorts, removed the heavy blankets, WHAM back in the deep freeze 30 at night 50/60 daytime. We need rain/sunshine so much. DH has been covering his garden as a couple of things are up. I scheduled my post, got up in the wee hrs to Mr. Link and forgot all about posting to you. So happy you were able to actually visit a fun store. We can do most everything, but fun shops are all 40/50 miles and he likes to go, but I need to take a day and go alone, I can only do so much Harbor Frt. Hardware stores, groceries...need ME time and only Hobby Lobby, or the Fabric shop left in our area....130/200 miles have the BIG selections. Enjoy a great week.
Hello Julia! I was so surprised by your visit to my blog I almost dropped my teeth! It is so good to hear from you. I really miss playing along with you guys but it seems as I get older I can only manage one thing at a time. I have to post for Heartfelt on Wednesday and can't seem to manage anything else. I do miss you guys and think of you weekly but just can't seem to get myt ducks in a row. Maybe I just need to try a little harder. I don't get out much because of the virus so I just need to manage my time better. Hugs to you all!
Love a tidy desk. 😊
