Like last week, there's a wedge of yellow kitchen paper - for a similar reason. Turns out my Christmas mugs are smaller than our everyday mugs and I'm still overfilling them! That bottle at front right is not water, as it should be. I see so many of you good Deskers who drink water whilst working. I don't like it. Anyway, I digress....it's tonic water. I was restocking (we have a cupboard with a few in and a box full in the garage) and this one got away. I thought it should rest on the desk before being opened and sprayed everywhere! Pretty sure that by close of play tonight, it will be gone. And not just from the desk. There's a pic of me and lovely Uncle Ray that will do nicely for a scrapbook challenge and then there's the mess of holly image and Brusho colours. I'm doing a Diana; and will cut the whole up and use sections that please me. Let me say right now, her explanation makes it sound easy...
So let's see what you're doing then people, images of calm and clean would do my poor tired eyes some good. Images of mess and panic would do my mental health a whole lot of good!

You can't claim ALL the mess, I have some too.... you do look mighty busy though. I rarely drink water either (bad, I know; I don't like it either), my drink of choice whilst crafting is tea... that gets cold... yuck!
Morning Julia, well done with the multi tasking. Love the Brusho background already and look forward to seeing what you do with it eventually. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #3
Morning Julia. I have a sneaky feeling that mess has a life of its own - it breeds! - all by itself when I'm not looking!! So rest assured - you are not alone in having it. My drink? - normally tea (preferably Earl Grey) - or tap water. I confess I love our water here - it's so soft and has a great taste. Coffee is a no go area as I hate it. I do keep some in for visitors - but I'm sure it must be stale as a jar lasts so long!
Take care, girl. God bless.

A very busy desk this morning Julia. I'm a good girl cos I drink water, need it in the summer here. Have a good week Ani#4
Mm calm and clean, not sure if mine qualifies Julia but certainly less chaotic in that mostly cards are done, just few hand deliveries to go, now can get my decs out🌲🎁💝. No Christmas mugs here or anything else for that matter!
Glad you’re crafting and soget the multi tasking, but no fun if no rest of tired bodies so yes do that too, be kind to yourself!
Happy WOYWW 😊
Hope to visit lots this week so as to chill, still but more shopping to go.

Good Morning Julia, your masterboard is a great way to multi make those backgrounds and fun to play with as well. We too have one of those cupboards that overflow with certain groceries our overlaod is Milk at the moment we definitely keep those Farmers in business.
Love your handmade's on display.

Multitasking is a good catch all eh?! I'm sure there are lost tribes in there somewhere ;-) Brushos sound fun, I wanna have a try!

Perhaps you are joining the ranks of the mixed media artists, Julia, with your layers. You know what they say, “In mixed media art, there are no mistakes, just more layers” lol! I think it’s a nice healthy mess because it means there’s lots going on. Keep up the good work! The Brushos masterboard looks great too.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one multitasking this week......so much to do and so little time to do it in. Guess a weekend off wasn’t the best of ideas but believe me we all needed it. I’m sure there’s nothing life threatening needing doing so if it doesn’t get done.....tough 😂😂😂
Hugs,
Annie x
I can give you messy any day of the week Julia! Messy is the new tidy - has no one told you yet? I don't drink much water either - only if I'm very thirsty - I prefer tea, coffee, and Pepsi Max (oh, and red wine) - anything caffeinated or alcoholated (ooh, the spell check didn't like that!) Getting so close to #500! Will make sure to catch it! zsuzsa #14 xx
Hi Julia, I think we all know we should drink more water and I try but lets face it.....it's boring Lol! Such a busy desk today and I love the paper you're decorating, looks like a Masterboard to me but then you know I'm obsessed! Have a lovely woyww. I'm off to meet the girls today for scones, coffee and a good old chin wag but will be back later to chat to everyone. Hugs, Angela x15x
Hi Julia, I'm with you on the water thing. Not enough Caffeine or alcohol in it for me! :)Love the holly & brusho's. Always a bit exciting to see what you end up with with Brusho's. Liking the cards I can see. Lots of love & hugs, Shaz #5 XxX
Hi Julia, I expect to see a busy desk:)
So what do you mix in with the Tonic Water, Vodka, Rum.....???

Seeing your desk definitely places me in the 'calm and clean' group... but I do like seeing your desk... there's more to see than in my atelier at the moment. Hope you find calm and relaxing time this week ('clean' can be done later...) Hug from Holland Marit #16
Hi Julia, you can't see my Christmas mug on my desk but it's also not as big as my usual - I feel deprived! I think perhaps my desk still fits with the calm and clean but maybe just edging into the mess and panic category. I like the look of your holly Brusho 'mother board' - it will make lovely cards. Have a great week - despite that 'proper work paperwork'. Hugs, Elizabeth x #
PS: I don't like water either.
Well, since I've expanded my mess and chaos, I guess I'm doing your mental health a lot of good! Your desk looks wonderfully busy and creative! As far as what I drink whilst working - usually nothing, I don't seem to have the time to remember to drink, or I stick a brush in it! I hope you have a lovely week! Lindart #20
Hi Julia. My mess is bigger than yours!!!:-) I am trying not to panic about it all .My craft space has to return to dining room status before the big day! Lol Anne # 21
hunh there are no drinks on my desk at all in any of the shots lol... but, I pretty much only ever have coffee or ice water. (water is drinkable for me if there is plenty of ice) (try it that way? slices of lemon help too if its a flavor thing) oh, I am so curious to see what those holly sprigs are going to turn out like, I love the colors on the Julia. :) ( and I have no idea what a tonic water is, I buy distilled water for my steam mop but, the bottles are in bigger jugs lol so, I guess its not for that)

Beautiful desk! Lots of messy, crafty, greatness!
Thank you for your return visit, Julia, and I appreciate it when you are so busy. Well done you, taking care of your sister's dog at such a busy time! Taking it for a walk can't be too much fun if your weather is anything like ours at the moment. So glad you like my vintage label - yes, hand drawn. I pencilled the basic letters first, just to get the spacing, and then did them in more detail with the pen. Our friend loved it! Hope your mum is OK. 9th Dec. was the first anniversary of my mum's death and I can't believe how quickly this year has gone.

Oh my! What a "busy" desk! My hubby drinks tonic water for leg cramps so we always have some in the fridge. They sure do explode when opened after dropping. What a sticky mess! (Had to mop the kitchen floor after he thought just wiping would do.) I don't think my desk will see calm and clean for at least another week or possibly after Christmas... LOL!

Tonic? Yes? Sure there is no gin lurking about? Guess it is too early but you could always use it up later this evening (hint hint)
You seem to have a box full of pens and all sorts at the back of the table - looks the perfect place to have a rummage.
Need to get back in my craftroom but cannot see it happening this side of New Year. Have to first get the house back to some normality.
Hugs, Neet 6 xx
Late to the party I know..... I have been making 'one off' specials for DDC.
Love the 'Diana' bit, took me off in a whole new direction .... thanks for that! lol
Have a good week
