Lots of us have been thinking of Deskers caught in or helping others as a result of the hurricane and typhoon that have dealt harm and hardship. I don't know what, but am pretty sure that if any of us can do anything to help, we'd like to.
That's not an icy, snowy morning out there, it's the early morning light coloured by a blue tarpaulin. The glass will go into the lantern this weekend and thus replace this ghostly ghastly colour. I shall record it for posterity. And scrapbooking. Which may well be the same thing, actually. I'll show you though, because several of you have been kind enough to wonder about it. Don't worry, I'll include a warning for those of you that don't want to read about my everyday domestic life! Meanwhile - look at my desk. I ordered some more prints (to add to the 8 kerjillion that I'm behind with) and was sorting them into rough categories. That's the most creative thing that's happened at my desk since last week. I was absolutely sure I would spend Saturday ignoring everything else to get a bit scrappy, but it didn't happen. Despite giving myself permission, I couldn't summon up the mojo! These new photos may do it though, I love scrapping recent stuff. Share and tell then gentle Desker, it's been a week and you know how I thrive on routine.

I find that when you have time to sit and play, your mojo just disappears.. hoping your new crop of photos does the trick. I did manage a couple of cards this week, mainly because I had to! Have a great week.
It does look like a snowy morning. My heart skipped a beat at first as I thought about it being a real cold morning. In the midst of changing our wardrobes over to winter clothes anyway so this startled me a bit.
Gosh, lots of photos there Julia, enough to keep you busy for a ... well ... a bout 8 kerjillion years.
Hugs as always, Neet 2 xx
Morning Julia. Yes - it must be horrid to be out there in these areas at the moment. I have to say I am most heartened by the lack of creativity that has been going on - I only spent time at my desk yesterday - after an absence of... well, I daren't think! I'm sure you will enjoy scrapbooking those photos though!!
Take care. God bless.

It did look like snow at first glance through your window Julia lol. Hope your mojo returns soon. Have a good week. Sarah #4
Good Morning Julia, yes I have to agree the news is full of horror around the world and I too sit and wonder what on earth I can do but feel pretty helpless in the process.
Looks like you will be having lots of fun with those photo's, is it me or is there toes in one of them..?? My early morning eye sight is horrendous!
Have fun playing, your mojo will sneak up on you when you least expect it.
Happy WOYWW & Thank you for hosting Tracey #7
I finally heard from the two bloggers I was worried might be in dire circumstances due to Florence. I just kept asking and they were finally back online and let me know they were OK. That's the most I can do, although I'm sure there are relief efforts that accept cash. I am leery of those, though.
I see all kinds of possibilities for action on that desk of yours. I wonder if everyone is caught up in some after-crop vortex where mojo has left the building. I HAD to prepare my post today, but I certainly didn't feel like it. And I can tell from the outcome, too.
Have a super rest of the week dear friend.
Good morning Julia, it is shocking and I really do feel for people caught up in these terrible hurricanes and typhoons. I feel helpless as Tracey said.
I did wonder at the blue hue ... I am looking forward to a guided tour when the lantern is finished. I had thought about scrapbooking recent photos of my grandchildren and working backwards until they were born. The new albums I have will allow that. Hmm, food for thought for when I get back from Canada! Have a lovely week Heather x #9
When life throws you challenges creativity often gets put on the back burner my friend so don’t beat yourself up over it. I love the new pile of pics and am sure they will inspire you. Just go with the flow.
Sending you big hugs,
Annie x
Hi Julia, Sure the new photos will make 8it into a scrapbook....eventually:)

Mojo will return - have no fear! Your pics are lovely and will make fab pages. I just wish I could motivate myself to do something with my boxes of pics too. xx Jo (The terrible trio - #12, 13, 14) lol
There is something lovely about printed photos, the gloss, the shine the newness... I hope that they inspire you and bring your Mojo back. Thanks for sharing. Caro x (#16)
Hi Julia, you had me scared there I thought I had arrived in the wrong place or a different universe even! and that it really was cold and frosty out there, thank goodness it's not yet at least. I usually find when I've got the time and my brain is saying do it then I can't think what I want to do, it's just crazy but sure Mr Mojo will find his way back. I do think that covering the desk with inspiring stuff helps and in your case it's the photographs. So just give it time. Happy woyww and hopefully a great crafty week too, Angela x17x
Hope you find your Mojo soon, mine was missing for ages but it came back when I got my new Craft Room and I have been making cards for fun and blogging again. It's good to be back!

I hope the tarp on the roof is holding up in these strong winds! It'll be wonderful to get the glass in to the lantern, will change the whole atmosphere probably. Hope you're doing ok with everything that's going on xx
Hugs LLJ 13 xxx
Happy WOYWW. It definitely looks like winter when I look out of our windows too, but it is actually fairly warm despite the wind. Interesting to read that you are selling your current Spanish escape. Best of luck with finding the replacement, and enjoy that process. I love looking around properties, except for getting tired with the getting in/out of a car and any steps/stairs. My problem is that I like most of them and would have a large portfolio of rental properties if we had the money! Ali x #20
I can empathize with you - I have looked forward to a day off where I can spend all day in my stamping room, only to spend the day in my jammies reading, baking or watching TV. . . why do we do this to ourselves? Sometimes I think I work best when I have NO time! Oh well, it looks like you have the makings of a few scrapbook pages right there! Have fun! Lindart #25
It does look a bit like it was frosty outside. I bet it won't be long before it gets that cold - not looking forward to it much! That sometimes happens to me too - having permission to play but no mojo - and I sometimes even find myself procrastinating with HOUSEWORK LOL! Oh, well, we're strange creatures. Happy scrapping! zsuzsa #18
Julia, that photo of your hand and your Mum's hand (or Mr. D. and his Mum) is utterly gorgeous and speaks volumes. I would enlarge it and frame it for my wall. Thank you for sharing and making my heart full this morning! Hugs, Darnell
Sorting photos is such a necessity but sure does take a long time. Have a wonderful week! Dorlene #28
Hi Julia, it always helps me to clean things up to find mine. ( mojo) more than pretty much anything else I have tried. but, sometimes I just walk away from the desk and go play in the garden too. Hope the new light becomes what you want it to be. That really looks like a winter shot out the window with the current one. Brrr. :) ~Stacy #28
Ah, the missing mojo, I know that too well. Mine vanishes only to return when I don't expect it to. I think sometimes you just have to walk away doing something else and let it find it's way back to you!
Angie
Glad you shared it's not snow or ice ! Sure looks like it could be. Some great photos. The bright blue chairs caught my eye, reminded me of doll house furniture. I don't know how MoJo leaves, but it sure is nice when it comes back. Good Luck. Have a good week
HI Julia, I always struggle to find a photo to scrap, even though I have several kerjillion going back thirty-odd years. Big plan is to put all of those in pocket pages and just do the odd "feature page" so that I can catch up, but somehow it hasn't happened yet! Hey, I'm sure I ready somewhere that it's national scrapbooking day this weekend, so there'll be loads of challenges and stuff going on, maybe that will inspire us :o) I totally thought you had snow out there, gave me quite a start!! Annie C #21
I'm not much of a scrapbooker but I can relate as a card maker the missing mojo. I think mine came back home a week after we got home from vacation but it still needs a boost from Pinterest. Hope your's shows up soon to help with all those pictures!
Carol N #24
Recent photos will do Julia, that works for me too when it comes to scrapbooking! Ay, the blue light indeed looks winter-y... I'm not ready for that yet! Hope you find some me-time ánd mojo to get creative this week! Love from Holland, Marit #23
Sorry about joining in so late - holiday was a bit hectic and NO INTERNET! Was just getting used to it when we had to come home. Life was much simpler back in the day!
Your man is doing so well, I must admit to being a tad jealous of his workmanship but now worrying that he might be doing too much .... take a break often is what my Doc suggests.
have a great week

Very interesting lighting effect on your busy desk, Julia! Glad it's nothing serious! Thank you for your visit, and I apologise for the extreme delay in replying - had a very busy and exhausting week and I have a massive backlog of emails and blog comments to deal with, but at least I managed to sneak in a reply before the launch of the next WOYWW tomorrow! Glad you like my pull-out units. I agree, I like to get my knees under the desk.
Happy extremely belated WOYWW,
Shoshi #10
