Back to the future, then.

I've been spending some time here and there doing other stuff. I have yet to photograph my works of art..as in, I keep forgetting.
I've pretty much got my Christmas head back on. In as much as I've done a lot of shopping already - thanks I think, to the Rugby World Cup. On-line shopping was preferable to snoozing and dribbling in my armchair! This excited kind of smugness doesn't extend to wrapping the gifts as they arrive; that is too much, even for me.
Woodware Robin stamps. Scrapbook paper, red foil and a postage stamp die.
I've also made a Christmas Cake. Last year, I didn't bother because there was little enthusiasm for one, and knowing myself as I do, knew that I'd only eat it. And then of course, more people than just I regretted the absence. So this year's is done. And all of the above is frankly, remarkable.
So the cards then? How is the stash of cards? Well....workshop cards are OK..I'm not ahead really, but am not in a panic (yet) Personal cards? Completely absent. I have ideas and indeed, have even bought specific dies and card. But I'm not ready. I fear that I need some pressure. And it's coming, the end of this month and next month are already looking ridiculous in terms of desk time. But it's OK. It was ever thus.

Love the robin card Julia.
I have loads on the go but nothing really finished so I'm sure it will be 'headless chicken' time for me again this year.

Hi Julia, Loving the card. Hope you can get the rest of your cards done without stressing.

You are doing well to have already bought some gifts. Luckily a few years ago friends and family all agreed to not do presents for Christmas. I think everyone has had to tighten their belts.

Hope you have a good week. Sue

The robins are so cute and I'm a big fan of (postage) stamps on cards. I think I may have come up with the perfect solution for mass producing my own cards this year. A die cut design where the leftovers make a second card.

What a great card. your paper pieced little robins are gorgeous. They look perfect on the postage stamp dies too. Barbxx

Love this card, though I don't usually like robins (relates to football!) I do like this design. I'm usually bouncing with excitement about Christmas but not so this year. With Keagan being away it just won't be the same. Me and Baxter waking up Christmas morning without Keagan will be a real pull on the heart strings moment. Will be having lunch with mum and dad and seeing family but it just won't feel right without my boy. Ah well best get used to it!! lol Take care Zo xx

I'm with you on the not ready for it thing. I am totally not feeling it. I don't even feel bad that I'm not feeling it. This is a sweet card. I love the little birdies in each postage stamp edged square.

I work best in Panic mode I think. Love your little birds. You sound like you have it under control. Now if you could work more time into all that It would be fun. When I finish my organization project, I may have time to do Halloween cards for the 6 grands. I've a lot of unfinished fall things they may just get packed up for next year.

I guess your Christmas cake must need time to do whatever it takes that has it needing two months to get ready for Christmas. If I baked a Christmas cake today, it would have to be eaten within a week or less, or it would go bad. I'm assuming this one needs more time than that to be ready to eat at Christmas.

Glad you are ahead of the game. I'm so far behind I can barely see my shadow. Working at Sally's is taking its toll. Heavy, hard work, while she sits and watches shows on TV. Today was bad (you might be able to tell from my not so pleasant attitude), and all I want to do is climb in bed before it's time to get up at 6 am my time. Hope your Wednesday and rest of the week goes well. For me, I'll be at Sally's moving shit (yes, SHIT) in her basement.
