Big Fat Promotion

No, I haven't been promoted.  That's such an unlikely scenario!
No, I haven't anything to brag about on behalf of somebody.
BUT..I do have something of interest to give away in the interests of Promotion.  Yep. Again because of the traffic that you cause on this blog, I was asked to do some publicity with a 'gift' to give away.  Great stuff, me likey.
So here in dear old Blighty, at our National Exhibition Centre each winter there's a large craft fair called Hobby Crafts, Crafts for Christmas and Art Materials Live.  You Northern Americans would probably call it a craft convention.
Colloquially, it's called and referred to in craft circles as 'the NEC'...which is the acronym for the venue, see.  It's a biggie.  And the good people in media have given me two tickets to give away. Makes me look hugely generous doesn't it!  So if you'd like to win a couple of tickets that will give you free one day entry on any of the four days that the show is open (8th to 11th November) leave me a comment.  Naturally, there'll be a hugely safe and democratically controlled, fairness monitored draw by Miss Dunnit, referee extraordinaire.  Me and that Lunch Lady Jan were thinking that we could probably tip up on the Friday (9th November) and maybe look around for a few WOYWW badge wearers. And do a teeny bit of shopping, of course.  We'll do the draw before the end of September so I've got enough safety time to send the tickets to the winner.  And so you've got enough time to check the dates and make sure that you can be there!

Oh well, if they're free and you absolutely need someone to take them off your hands then I suppose I ought to volunteer to help declutter your desk...! Just call me 'utterly selfless'!!!

Oh now that's an offer I can't refuse...maybe Jo and I could use them and join you there on the Friday? :-)
I can but hope.
Hugs,

Ummm, you could probably twist my arm to take these off your hands...I'm another November Birthday so it would be a way to celebrate (and anticipate what spending money I'm going to receive LOL).

Would love to take these off your hands - it will give me some extra pennies to spend on goodies instead of tickets.

Oooh... oooh! I'm commenting, I'm definitely commenting...

How nice of the ICHF people to give a ticket or two away...

I would happily take those of your hands! I was hoping to go on the Friday too.

Looks like I won't be able to go this year (grin), but it sounds like I will get to see a few pictures of WOYWWers and maybe even you and LLJ? So be sure to bring your camera, and be sure to take more than ONE photo, please.

Reason I can't attend? The "pond" between us is too big to swim in winter!

I love that show. I went every March and November when I lived in the area. Sadly it is just a tad too far away now.
No doubt someone will make good use of your tickets though. Kate x

Oh how lovely :)

Don't stick my name down though Julia, after this weekend Craig wants me to reign in the driving for a few weeks otherwise I'd have been (wobbly) jumping up and down to join you all :)

Have fun!

Pick Me! Pick Me! (think Donkey off Shrek!) I am planning to go anyway so wouldn't it be nice to go for free, though I am going alone as Mr Grumpygills doesn't want to join me so you could have two draws if you like :0D

Ooooh reading this has made me realise that I still dont have a WOYWW badge - I know I havent joined in for a few weeks but I still like to think that I am part of the team! Let me know what day you go to the NEC and I will try and meet up with you (I only live 10 mins away so even if I cant get a ticket in I can meet you outside).

Oh we have recently booked flights over to the NEC from here in N. Ireland, for the Friday - how do I get a WOYWW badge? - you never know - I might bump into you if I was wearing one! Free tickets would just be the icing on the cake!

I have always wanted to go to the 'NEC' (been to loads of other events there over the years - used to live in the Midlands - but not the big craft event), so add me to the draw (and I would only need one ticket - so someone else can have a chance too). Ali x

Sounds like a fabulous idea. I have been to the NEC but not this particular show.
Thanks for the chance to win these.

I would love to go, I live nice and close and have been to the NEC a few times now. Make sure you've sharpened your elbows, these craft shows get really crowded! Nicky

Gosh has the NEC come round again, so soon!! I still have stash nbought in March to use - ekkk!!!

But if you have to give a ticket away, it would be rude of me not to offer to take it off your hands!!

Thank you for the chance,

If I win Julia - I PROMISE to wear my lovely badge in a place where NO-ONE would miss it!!!

I went last year and being not well, it completely floored me and took me a week to get over. I feel considerably better at the moment so would love to go and meet up with you - hopefully other WOYWWer's would be there too. What a fab fab dream come true. If I don't win, I would still love to meet up - I'll keep reading - albeit a few days after everyone else... (I like to save certain emails etc and savour them rather than rush through them).

Much love

How fab to have tickets to give away... I would love to go to this event having never been before.

Also what do you have to do to get a WOYWW badge? Is there an initiation of some kind or do I just need to beg lol

Hugs
Emily

hugely generous of you,
me - I'd have put them in my back pocket and gone for free - oh they wouldn't like that would they?

I am deliberately being in France that week since 'normally' I am 60 mins from the NEC - I could spend my annual salary in four days,...

Very Dangerous.. - so leaving the country is the best option - to protect my bank balance you see...

but if I had free tickets and didn't take any money.....

h ahahahahhhhaa mwah haha

Haven't been to the show for about five years because of the cost, but I would love to meet fellow WOYWWers there, especially on the Friday. With free tickets, I could justify the trip to my OH, and I could control my credit card, couldn't I? thank you for your generosity in giving these tickets away. Hope whoever receives them has a great day. xx

Sharon (glitterangel) said...

I'd also be happy to take them off your hands - any excuse for a bit of craft shopping!

Oh I would also love a chance to go to the NEC - Count me in to please

Hello xx

I would be very happy to use the tickets, I live 20 minutes away from the venue and have been crafting for over 20 years.
I have been too poorly (and then pregnant) to go the last 4 years so really really want to go this time xx
thank you.
I make christmas angels and cloth dolls xx
