Points of Inspiration. 1.

Finally I cleared my desk.  I've spent some time sorting, tidying putting away.  You can't tell, but I can.  By turning my back on domestic issues for the whole day, I also made time to work on samples for next week's workshop.  Better late than never, huh!  This card is one of them.  And during last night's browsing through various blogs that I try desperately to keep up with, I noticed that this sort of works for Daring Cardmakers new challenge.  It's got a butterfly; the colours are probably at the extreme edge of the lovely soft green and pink of the inspiration photo, but hey..this is possibly as soft and pale as I get really. Daring Cardmakers are waaay up there for me in terms of inspiration.  I haven't and don't intend to get into Pinterest...I know, some of you may recoil in horror, but I spend too much time browsing blogs and finding inspiration to locate another place that will eat up hours. There's more hours to be eaten up today - Mr D is threatening to have the first afternoon off in 36 days.  It may only be for a haircut and a quick cuppa somewhere in town, but I'm mildly excited.  It's like a date!
Have a lovely weekend ya'll.

I had a quick look at the DC site and, without a shadow of a doubt, I love your card the most. It's the simplicity that does it for me and I love that wreath stamp. Enjoy this afternoon, you deserve it :) xx

Just beautiful Julia. I have fallen into the abyss that is Pinterest - oh the hours!
As to the watercolour card - I used "paper" very light at 130gsm so not sure if it was card it may be two bumpy. I know that the gsm are different to those for ordinary card.

I popped over to see the inspiration photo and think you interpreted it beautifully. I also did a desk clean up, but fear that by Wednesday's photo for WOYWW it will be covered in stuff again and looking every bit like I never did see the wood!

I have just looked through a box of stash this afternoon and sorted out the buttons, beads and flowers into another box.Really pleased as it needed doing even though I was actually looking for a little wooden violin that I knew was in there somewhere. So know the feeling of achievement. (Start small is my motto) Hiope you had a fab afternoon on your date. Hugs Mrs A.

Wow, lots of news in a very short amount of time. Love this card. Very elegant. It looks difficult to make, though.

I've heard of Pinterest, but have yet to waste any time there. I hear it's a real time buster. I suspect you'll have more fun on your date, even if it's just into town for a cuppa.

I have enough trouble keeping up with blogs so I don't twitter, facebook, pinterest or any of those things that folk seem to be doing.

The card is beautiful Julia - I love the vivid colours but it still has lovely clean lines to the design.

Hope the 'date' went well.
