What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday

Aaggh I'm all behind. I blame Monday. I spent it in Exmouth (as blogged yesterday) and so yesterday at home didn't feel like Tuesday. So now, even though I know it's Wednesday, I feel like it's Tuesday and I feel like I've got more of the week than I have. Golly, it's making me incoherent! Don't bother to re-read that, it'll probably be more frightening than lacking sense on a second consideration!
Lordy, it's tidy today! That's because all I did yesterday was unpack and put away and then tentatively start on the Anniversary invites. Then I blogged and didn't get back to them, so there was no chance to make a mess. Although you have to ask - why I need 3 rolls of double sided tape. And why I seem to have decided that I can knock out a card without a pair of scissors. Well, how about what is actually on the desk...hmm. A nestabilitie shape with some lovely text stamped upon it. My glass mat which I would run back in to rescue from a fire. The sadly unused Prima and button jars; I think they might as well be put away now, I'll try another tactic for using those. The Martha Stewart border punch (loopy) is still there because I used it yesterday to re-make a card for tomorrow's workshop - I was cutting stock and sorting kits and blow me, I didn't have enough of the same paper to go around. So I've made another card - the same - but in a different colour split. And then the punch stayed on the desk because I was going to use it again last night. But clearly, I didn't. I played scrabble with my phone instead!
There's another Clock House shape for the 2 Scrap Ladies project - now it's painted I've kinda lost my nerve with it, so it sits there waiting for what Paula calls the 'ping' moment. She's right, it will happen. Probably about a week after the event! And the little die cut bunny - the spare from tomorrow's workshop kits...waiting to be used on another card.....which in real life means it'll be moved around the desk until I'm fed up with it and throw it away.

So now, with the help of that fabulous Mr Linky - you know him - the cyber god that can link us all in a big ol' cultcircle thing whilst simultaneously arranging neat rows of numbered names and controlling gigabytes - show us your workdesk. Work surface. Where you craft. We wanna see what you're doing, and what you've got. So link in and leave a comment too, and we'll swing round to your place. Right now I'm off to put the ketlle on. Join me, do.

Julia! Are you ill? Your desk looks pristine!! I think you may have persuaded me over to a glass cutting mat.... though I must admit I was hankering after a pretty pink one last week so you never can tell! ;)

Whoa! Is that actual desk I can see? I feel faint :P

I didn't realise it was Wednesday either and now I have to dash out. I shall be back later with a piccy of my desk.

It's not my birthday anymore Julia *g* I snuck it through (or thought I did) under the radar on the 28th Feb. I was born 2 weeks late and arrived on my Nans birthday :D

p.s I like to confuse people in my blog posts :P Nah, Virginia told me she had been making something but it was taking her ages so to just know it would be late. Very apt, seeing what it's based on *g*

Hi Julia

I'm in the process sorting out my craft stuff at the mo, so my workspace is really messy. It's my hubby's birthday today and he's taking me out craft shopping (how well trained is he?!!), guess the sorting is on hold for a few hours then!!!!

Have a great day - good luck crafting without scissors LOL !!!!

Oh my goodness ... am I in the right place? Hellllooooooo ... I am looking for Julia ... have you seen her? If you are anywhere in the vicinity of Julia ... may I suggest you advise her to go lay down in a darkened room ... that desk is far too tidy ... somebody must have robbed her in the night and nicked all the stash off her desk! Oh yeah and while the kettles on ... mine is a black coffee ... ta muchly :0)

Looks like I'm rubbing off on you! Don't think the others can quite appreciate it though! You can never have enough ds tape and scissors are completely overrated anyway. I shall be making my own first foray into nesties this weekend as a local craft store has them all on sale for 40% off, which makes them a shade under 10 quid! Probably shouldn't have told you lot that should I? I'll be inundated no doubt, Paula's already on her way!

You're right, it is tidy, almost scaringly tidy! (Is that a word?) My crafting this week...has spread to the hall and out into the living room...but I didn't take a picture of that! Don't throw the bunny away!!! Hide him somewhere different next week, so we/I can still see him, or I'll have nightmares!

I thought i'd got the wrong desk then and someone was imitating your blog (tee hee)... Hope that lightbulb comes on soon or you'll be rushing and doing everything last minute. You should run a comp and get peeps to do a sample and post then you can choose the one you like best and copy it for your invites - like "Julia's invite Challenge"!!! Anyway - send some of that DS over here - i'm almost out!!! LOL.

Off to make myself presentable, then I'll grab a coffee before I go visiting everyone. See you all later!!!

Ooh very impressive - the tidy desk. I think I have to agree about the Prima jar, perhaps you'll find the very thing to put some flowers on once you've put it away ;) I'm up for Paula's idea about getting peeps to do samples for you :) What will probably happen then, is you'll decide you don't like any, but something will 'ping'.

A girl can never have too many rolls of DST you know. But a jar of flowers on a desk for months and not used? That's a crime!!

I'll forgive you though as I do like the look of that clock xxx

It freaked me out to see your desk looking so orderly this week Julia, could it be that Spring is in the air and you’ve caught the Spring cleaning bug?

Mind you, I do think it’s about time you did something with those Prima’s. If you’re really not going to use them any time soon, you know I have plenty of space to store such lovelies now, so I could help you out!
