I know, y'all think I'm well ahead and possibly even looking back at my Christmas preparations. I've posted enough card samples to bore the breeches off you if that's what you're wearing, for sure. However, I'm not ready. Today's title refers actually to A Magnetic Year in A Day; I've started typing up the instructions to go with the page kits....and as I type, the oven is roasting a pumpkin so I can pulp it to make muffins. (After all, it's on Hallowe'en). So I'm feeling a little relieved that the making is over and the packing can begin. Still a long way to go though. So, back to Christmas. Try this for a madness: I hardly ever actually use the cards that I make as workshop samples, even at Christmas when there's a weeny time pressure. I have no idea why.....well I suppose I do, but it's terribly illogical - I'm sick of the sight of them! And possibly somewhere in the back of my mind I guess that translates into not liking them and therefore I don't use them. And just to make the confession complete - the photo shows 2 cards from workshops in 2007!
Anyway, I had an idea about it....this year I'll give them away. They arrive at workshops in cellophane bags so they don't get too much of a bashing, and if they do, I won't include them! Who shall I give 'em to then? Well, I dunno. There are of course, a bunch of people who read this blog but wouldn't want my style of cards, and there's the reader who has nearly finished theirs anyway (isn't there!) so there's no point foisting the cards onto them - after all, that's not really a gift, huh? So that rules out a random 'pick' from the Followers box. It'll be the first week in December before I can bundle them up (after the last workshop), so you'll have to hold your nerve! Never one to make anything too complicated (!I love that!) - leave me a comment. Mr and Miss Dunnit can pick the erm, lucky recipient (they aren't emotionally attached to the comments, see.) I'll give you the rest of the week to decide and comment - don't be too English about the asking though, if you're too subtle, I won't understand!

I'm bundling up a load of Christmas Cards to send to an animal charity - so any spare you have means I have to make less and, in my book, that's brilliant! Pick me, pick me, pick me! lol!
Seeings that I never seem to find the time to make my own PICK ME PICK ME PICK ME!!!!! but on the other hand there are plenty of worthy charities out there that ask for handmade cards to sell to help poorly childrena nd animals. I don't thing I'm that worthy ;)
gosh must get back to the packing!!!!! so much stash so little space!!!!!
Love your jingle card. Great letters.
I love your style of cards, I would be honoured to use these as my xmas cards this year, i always leave it till the last minute anyway so if i dont get them till the middle of december my family will be astounded that i have got the cards out before xmas eve lol!!!!
So Pick me please and let me shock my family into keeping quiet and not taking the mickey out of last minute tilly!!!
'Gis some! :) Chris xx
I LOVE your cards! They will always find a grateful and happy little home with me x
How about giving them to the local Hospice to sell or to the chemo ward used by someone dear to you last year. Just a thought. Nice way of paying them back for their help etc.
I LOVE that jingle card ... that is definitely my favourite so far ...
I think I should win because I will personally make sure your cards get sold and make a stack of money for a children's cancer charity and I would be proud to sell them alongside mine ... actually I may have to up my game a little ... because that Jingle one really is incredibly good!
Actually if I don't win ... please could you just let me have one like that for Christmas ... huh??? Can I??? huh??? Can I???
Actually, just so I don't die of guilt or shame here...a whole bunch of cards were delivered just today to a friend running a stall for Hospice fund raising; actually, after her event, I will be blogging about this very topic.
another bunch of fab carrds, the jingle one is my fave...great idea about the cards..I have absolute DRAWERfuls (blush) lol
Hi My name is Sara ... you don't know me ... I have just popped in the local library ... this computer was still logged on ... so I thought I would use it ... I have no clue who the strange woman and gentleman are in the little picture with this post.
I have no doubt you give to good causes on a regular basis ... you seem the type to be generous of spirit ... I would really like to win the cards because I have no friends and I could put them all up in my little bedsit at Christmas time and I could pretend ... that I have friends ... I know you will get all sorts of strange people with lots of strange requests but you know this one is legitimate coz why else would I be alone in a library at this time of night ... apart from to keep warm because I have no central heating ... and I am on the computer because the books are no good to me ... coz I can't read ... c'mon Mr Dunnit ... pick me :0)
Come on ladies ...are you not crafters of the highest ability ...can you not create your own works of art in the time left to you ...let our beloved leader of the WOYWW club donate these to a worthy charity...even if we are desperate to win them... we will forgo the pleasure of recieving ... in order to enjoy JD donating to those who can gain from the gift. xx
( Pinch salt ...tongue cheek lol)
Oh Julia....with my customer count at 875 and still rising and having had the busiest fortnight ever when will I find time to make my christmas cards this year. I usually make them all so buying a box of mass produced cards is just not an option. Please choose me so I can have my usual half hour to sleep each night :-) A x
LOL! That weirdo using Lindas name has obviously broken into the library and is up to dodgy no good doings. What library is open at 11pm eh? eh?
What do you mean some ppeople that visit your blog don't like you style of cards? Tell me who said that and I'll doof them up for you ;)
Did I see you mention pumpkin muffins? Are we getting pumpkin muffins on the day? Are we? Are we? huh? Huh? Never tried pumpkin before ;)
I can just visualise the postman rattling the envelope with the jingle bell card inside, it would have the cat running too when it landed on the mat... what it is to let one's imagination run away! It's a great card however.
I've got a bundle of cards ready for the charity shop too...
Pick me, pick me, pick me! Hehehe. Well, gotta have a Mrs Dunnit creation to add to my 40 years worth of Christmas cards that I can't throw away! It will be treasured - maybe framed! TFS.
the jingle card is great!
As i am too busy scrapping to make too many cards all donations would be gratefully received!!!
