What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 127

I've moved to the floor.  As I get things ready for Saturday, I need to lay them out in a place where I can see what's been done and am not falling over them.  So a corner of the lounge floor is doing the job.  Because I'm too lazy to light the fire and warm the conservatory up....or it would of course, be a table - less bending!
You can see, each basket contains the supplies (ink, stamps, die cuts) needed to make each card.  The large envelopes contain the pre-scored cards, envelopes and bigger pieces of paper or card needed as mounts.  Everything is cut to size and any die cutting is done.  This cuts down on queueing at the tool table and means that the makers can just sit down and make their cards...there's some embossing to be done here and there, but nothing overly taxing - this is about getting as many Christmas cards made as possible!  So there you have it, my workroom is a hive of organisation and the lounge floor is the proof.  Feels kinda good to be productive to be honest.  This is a scheduled post.  I'm scared that Mr D will let me lie in, and more scared that the chores I have to do before going out for the day won't get done if I'm as big a behind as I was last week.  It was yesterday before I finished desk visiting!
Show us your work area, show us what you're working on; it's very easy - upload to your blog and then come back and link here...please include WOYWW in your title - those of us that visit late often have to page through and can't find the relevant post....especially if the pic is buried at the end of a long post about other stuff.  Thanks, it helps.  Also, Neet reminded us that once you've linked, it's really helpful to include your number on the list when you leave a comment....makes a reciprocal visit much easier!

You are very, very productive and organized. I'm so proud of you. You really know how to make these annual events work and run smoothly. I'm really impressed with your organization skills.

I would be feeling very pleased with myself if I was as organised as you appear to be. Anything on my floors is more or less a permanent hazard. Your organisation will certainly pay off for the card makers and I reckon they will have a great time.

Just getting used to this whole 'blogger' thing, and actualy posted my workdesk yesterday. That much organising must have taken you ages!

Morning Julia! See - you can be extremely organised at times! Well, we knew that anyway. You weren't the only one to still be desk visiting yesterday butI think that's the nature of the WOYWW beast these days!

my hubby always suggests a lie-in, day off or chilling when I'm about to faint from deadlines...or says, "Isn't there something simpler you could do...?" "Of course dear, I'll just add 5 extra days to this week, send you off to the YMCA and all the gals can do potato stamping..."

Looking on track Julia and looking good. Well done you. When it's all in full swing, DO enjoy the I did it glow too!

ohoooo tidiness! You are sooo organized! I was once asked, why don't you do (meaning me) a crafty crop, get all the 'stuff' ready, hire a hall and loads will come! (as I was standing at the time, I fell off my legs, laughing, imagining the chaos!)So I'm giving you a gold star for being sooo organised! Please come and sort me out! Those little plastic baskets are great, aren't they? but they do fall into tiny weeny diddy crispy little bits when they've been up in an attic for about twenty odd years! Good luck and Happy WOYWW (Please don't think you have to visit me if you are busy Julia, I KNOW how it is!! Cindy #70

Julia, I am in awe at that level of organisation. I would never dare to put anything like that on the floor here, though. It would get chewed up by our two nutty dogs (like Husband's hearing aid). Thank you for hosting us as usual, and can we schedule our linking as well as the posts? Have a great week and good luck with all those Christmas cards.

What an organized little gal you are. Just think, soon Christmas cards will be just a memory and we'll be on to Valentine's day.... I wonder if non crafters ever think about when we start making Christmas cards. Ive been at it since June. I always make one on New Years Day... makes me think I am ahead of the game. That thought doesn't last long though...I'm usually scampering around in November trying to catch up! Have a great week!
