What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 830

So. I've been card making and testing my patience I can tell you. Last week Mr Dunnit had an online meeting at home so I sat at my desk as quiet as a mouse whilst he erm, meetinged. I bought this die set for no other reason than I liked the picture on the packet and spent bloomin' ages cutting out the relevant parts. I cut out enough to make six cards and set to whilst listening to a client and his joiner discuss cabinets and worktops. This is the last card which I finally put together yesterday; I had to get it off my desk, I need to move on. It was all a bit painstaking! The teeny tiny flower heads are cut from one of the Pixie dust sheets I made a few days ago. So I haven't used much of it!
I spent last weekend away with the Coven, for reasons of scrapbooking and talking and that's another reason for needing to clear my desk off again..I need to unpack and finish some titles and journaling.
On another note, our tree Peony has flowered and I can't tell you how beautiful it is, it's a bit earlier than usual on account of the lovely sunshine we're enjoying. And better still, the forecast is fine, so the flowers will last longer than usual too!

The flowers are as big as dinner plates and that hint of pink blush has arrived in the last five years or so and we put it down the fact that we planted a red bush peony right next to it about ten years ago. Well, we would want to claim credit over such beauty, huh!
Have a great week won't you. Join  us with a squizz at your desk or workspace, link up at Sarah's, no membership, no fees, just some friendly visitors!

I remember seeing that peony in the flesh and agree it is a stunner! I admire your patience with the die, I can't be doing with faffy die pieces these days! Happy WOYWW Helen #1

I am in love with your tree peony. How gorgeous is that!
Glad you got some quiet time to make your cards, I think putting all those flowers together called for quiet time,

That tree peony is stunning. The advantage of having to be quiet for your husband’s call was perhaps the lack of distraction for your fussy cutting?

Gorgeous flowers. I think I have that die, liked the look of it but not used it yet. I am having a similar thing at ours as hubby is working in the dinning room getting ready for his school visits so he's on the phone quite a lot sorting his team out and making appointments, me and the dogs keep getting told off but at least it's not for too long. Hi, Lady! Your garden looks lovely! I can imagine sitting there enjoying it! Was it hard to sit and be quiet? I have to force myself to stay in one place! But when I'm successful I do accomplish "stuff" Happy Wednesday Kathry #16

Fab die but what a lot of bits to cut and stick! Our peony, which could be a twin of yours, has bloomed too so it must be something in the weather. Such a shame it is so brief to bloom, then gone. The pink blush looks wonderful, just a dusting and a glow. And I feel ya - the Hubster is on Zoom calls all day every day - saving grace my crafty space is far away and I can make noise if I need to :D
A day-after-knitting Happy WOYWW!

The tree peony is beautiful, a good year for magnolias and peonies in general. The little card is pretty but probably beyond my patience limits. Have fun at the beach with Bart today.

That is an amazing peony Julia. Lovely card but a bit too fiddly for me - well done on making six!! Enjoy the weather. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah

Hello Julia, your peony tree is amazing and the bloom is a stunner. You deserve a medal after making that card. The image looks very fiddly to make. I'm not sure I have the patience to make one, let alone six! The Coven meet-up sounds fun and I expect you've unpacked by now. Hope your are having a wonderful weekend. Hugs, Elizabeth x #14
