What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 814

Gloomy and cold out there this morning, but in here it's all light and dancing about. Well, I'm up, and I have a plan which is by far the better way for me to face a day! Wishing you all a very happy and healthy New Year. I haven't made any resolutions and I haven't chosen a word for the year and I'm not apparently, going to be changing my modus operandi at the desk....
Whilst chatting to our LLJ on FaceTime I stamped and coloured and I tidied up. Then later in the day, I went back to it and started some more...and didn't tidy up. This is how it looks this morning and that's how I know the new year hasn't changed my mindset!
In fact this is a slice of desk really, the other half has a birthday present on it which cannot be revealed! Isn't the little wooden tray with my new mug on it sweet..like an oasis of calm in all the mess. A lovely Christmas present from my sweet sister in law. And it's got a HOME MADE biscuit on it. My word, I'm turning into Suzi Homemaker!

Join us for desk viewing and general craft nosiness, it costs nothing and is actually a nice way to spend some down time browsing and chatting - link up at Sarah's; if you have questions, please ask!

Hi, lovely to see you. That tray from your SIL is perfect. Homemade biscuits too, give me a few hours and I will pop round 🤶 - no idea what this emoji represents but cute! Come to think of it I don’t know what half of them represent! I know what this one is though 🤧, I feel I am getting a cold, let’s hope it will fade away. Happy New Year to you. Here’s to light, dancing and laughter. Happy WOYWW. Angela #13

Lovely to catch up the other day, I wondered what you were doing whilst chatting but glad to see that normal service has resumed re the desk and its tidiness, lol! That wooden mug rest is cute and kudos for the homemade biscuit, channelling your inner Martha Stewart? I haven’t got a word or challenge either so you’re in good company…

Hi! I guess I’ll be anonymous again.🙀( Kathy #1Haven’t been able to link up for a bit asI still have to go via Instagram and haven’t been on there for a spell either.
I have a weather app on my iPad and I have you as one of my saved places. Your weather has been so similar to ours lately.
Also been tidying up for the new year. Made a few Christmas cards for the weekly group I’m in and a few birthday cards. Actually jotted down all birthdays for the year by month and all on one side of paper. Hope to keep my mind in order😂Happy Wednesday all

Oh what a delight to find lots of comments when I woke up again this morning. WOYWW is certainly my "constant" at the moment and I thank all you lovely ladies for being there for me, I am blessed....
Aw Julia, thank you for your comment, don't think I mentioned but if I go out for a walk, even just round the block it leaves me absolutely shattered. The cold feels like a vice around me despite all the layers too. Think I might be fighting off lots of viruses with none actually coming through so I'm rather under par. As for "Surrender" for my word... I did a quiz and got "Create" but it didn't feel right. Christian friends said to pray about it and the word would make itself known. I have been taken by a song entitled "I Surrender" for a few weeks now, the sermon before last was all about Surrender and last week a lady at church, knowing I was unwell said maybe I needed to Surrender something to the LORD. I think all that was confirmation enough for my word. I pray that you find a word which keeps coming to you, tapping you in the shoulder and saying, "It's me!". Oh gosh, there I go again not actually commenting on the desk.... Love your little mug/biscuit tray. Sorry but the word "Tray" has different connotations here as in the Star Wars/Eddie Izzard sketch, "I will kill you with a tray". Sorry it's just making me giggle. Ah not lost my sense of humour that's good...Anyway yours is really special and yes an oasis of calm on your desk. Hugs BJ#3

Good to see you as always Julia. Loving that gift - and a home made biscuit too! Looks like the crop will be the 10th as people don't like the idea of travelling at the BH. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW Sarah
