What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 470

I don't know why, but Wednesday feels a day earlier than normal this week; perhaps because I can feel deadlines starting to slip already! A bit chilly and dull this morning.
I am still basking in after-party warmth and have received some more lovely ATCs. I will sow them separately so you aren't distracted. I'm also still playing with the 'cards from one sheet' thing, slow because of other jobs rather than lack of ideas - isn't that always the way...idea overload when you can't get near the desk! Apart from putting my half finished coffee on the desk, it's pretty much as I left it last night. A sentiment waiting to be cut out and mounted. My little blue Bluetooth speaker which I should have recharged overnight. The blue wallet file holds patterned scraps. It's not an attractive way of storing them but it means I can lift them all out of the box at once and that means I go through them much more often. I'm in a rush to clear this lot up so that I can attempt a daily sketch challenge on a Facebook group called Inspired by Memories. I can't keep up with daily, but starting a new scrapbook page every few days makes me feel as if I'm making progress. I did one yesterday with a photo from 1996. Progress indeed!!
Be inspiring then will you please. And make allowances for me..Wednesday is also visiting day for me and my lovely Mama, which takes all afternoon and evening because of distances and all sorts. Link your lovely WOYWW post here and we'll trot round. A boiling kettle is always a good way to entice a desker....

Hi... guess who is back in blogland!!
My desk is equally chaotic... or in a state of creative explosion.
Hugs from number 7!

I was waiting to link before I filled my coffee cup for a night of visiting others. Is the outside a sign of things to come, like the remodel? Your desk is a LOT more active than mine today. Not much going on, since I'm not really motivated. Have a great day with your mother, dear, and don't rush to my place because there is really very little to show!

Morning Julia, I have my Coconut Latte on my desk this morning as I get the remaining school jobs out of the way. One down already and 7 more to go! Have a lovely visit with your mum. Sarah #4

Happy WOYWW. I also have lots of crafty ideas in my head - and photos to scrap, of course - but keep getting dragged to do more boring stuff like housework/office work! Totally lost my voice this morning, so may need to cancel my doctor's appointment and also my Spanish evening class. Trying a cup of tea (turmeric and ginger?!) - I don't normally drink hot drinks, but willing to try anything right now. Ali x #9

A layout every few days sounds great! I'm overwhelmed with inspiration as well - everywhere I look I find must-try ideas! Good thing I have the time to act on them, so I'm taking full advantage! Happy #470!

Good morning!
Up bright and early or did I not go to bed?!!
Ignore the 'mess' on the desk and enjoy the day, especially visiting your Mother, give her a hug from me and say "thank you for having a wonderful daughter who bring so much pleasure to all us deskers".
Enjoy the day

Hi Julia, hope you have a lovely day at least my visiting day for parents is Tuesday so that makes Wednesdays a bit easier. We are so lucky to still have parents as I know people who have lost theirs at a very young age though sometimes.......well you know! I'm sure I will be just like her when I get to her age.....if I'm lucky! Anyway enough of that. Have a great day and a very happy woyww, Angela x16x

It's great to catch up with you, Julia, and others who are showing for today. Good idea to have that blue wallet to hand. I've got a drawer for all my offcuts (well, more than one drawer actually) so it can easily be pulled out and put beside me. It's been a long while since I've managed to get here - I wish there were more hours in the day - lol!. xx

I don't think my desk will be very inspiring, but there are a couple of things to become progress. :-) Go you on scrapbook progress. I've finally started. Baby steps. hehe Creative Blessings! Kelly #24

My desk is empty of creations today but it's clean and may inspire organization lol! Do enjoy the time with your mama, those are some of my best days. When my mom and I just get together and chat all day.

Had to read the notice three times as I tend to skim policy stuff! Now it is summer regardless of calendar conventions it 7.55 am and 25.56 C or 78F and by 3pm it will be 98F or 36.67CSo i am inside most of the day. Not that this means more creativity and this week is a disaster. Have a fun week Julie and avoid rowing boats.

I think two bank holidays in the month have really sent the weeks skew-whiff and it hasn't helped that I was on Jury service for two weeks. Your desk looks very busy and it has been lovely seeing the ATCs on other folks blogs - such a lovely way of sharing paper crafts.

Hi Julia, sorry I'm so late in the day visiting. Thanks for stopping by earlier. Yes, crafting always takes a back seat when I have my grandchildren over. Although the boys occasionally want to make cards. I love my little blue tooth speaker - mine is bright pink so should it be a pink tooth speaker? I need to get on with my scrapbooking, I bought quite a few albums, so you have actually given me an idea - one page/layout each week, that shall be my commitment! Have a lovely week Heather x #14

An expanding file for scraps - sounds good to me! I have mine in a shoebox. I forgot to take a picture of my actual workdesk, and had so many technical problems while trying to post I decided not to even try. Have a good week!

My desk certainly wouldn't inspire anyone this week, Julia, despite your kind words that it wasn't too bad haha!! I still haven't been near it to try and tidy up in there... busy with other stuff at the moment. I hope you had a lovely visit with your mum. Thank you for your comment, and I'm glad you like the sundial and the socks. My hubby has started painting the base with a sand and cement wash but it will need lots of layers to make both bits the same colour.

Happy belated WOYWW,
