What's On Your Workdesk, Wednesday 323

My word, Wednesday already. It's certainly being a week, for sure! I've spent a couple of hours at my desk since last Wednesday. It started well, because I had to tidy up. But naturally, it didn't last.
In the very near forground is a discarded Christmas Card. In the centre ground is an attempted third. I am going to change that again. Nearly there! Christmas cards are on my schedule gentle Desker because the workshop customers are asking for them. The argument is quite compelling really - I do a workshop every third week and there are 19 weeks till Christmas.  Really, that's not a lot of workshops. Sorry, did I incite fear and groaning?
Show us what you're working on and with will ya - put WOYWW in your post title and link it here. S'all very easy and very friendly. And mostly very tidy.

I was confused and thought it was a different desk but on closer inspection I see the stable doors open on the left. Yeah you are scaring us with the X or C word..stop it!! But good on you for making a start, I'll try and keep up

I've already seen some countdowns.. I will be unfollowing people you know... Still if the workshop punters want them... I do like the desk from this view, although you can see the "pile high" method of clearing is working well... Have a great week.

As I was looking at your desk, I thought to myself, wow, a lot of things would fall out the window if that were my desk!
It's amazing, isn't it, how it's already August? In the Philippines, as soon as the "ber" months arrive (that's next month!), they say you can hear Christmas carols on the radio!
Happy WOYWW, Julia!

the different angle threw me for a min but i like seeing it from a diff angle; not that messy really considering you are in the middle of the creative planning process i usually spread to the floor and any other surface when planning classes. my next two classes are christmas ones too as people ask for them from july! but thats a little too early i think... i do my own ones in july lol

happy woyww

I can't even think about Christmas right now, lol!! We just moved to SOUTH KOREA and it's so flippin' hot and humid here! Luckily, we have terrific A/C so we aren't melting. Good luck with your Christmas cards...make 'em fab and then I can just copy yours, lol! Have a great week!!!

I have got as far as getting my Christmas stash out. usually I buy charity cards, but want to use up my stash this year.

I finally made a start on my Chrimbo cards last month by taking part in a challenge event. Time is flying by so fast - less than 140 days to go.
Your desk certainly looks different from this angle Julia - hope your prep for the workshops goes well.

Thankfully my ladies refuse to think about Christmas until well into October, so I don't need to go there just yet!

Hi Julia, great view of your desk, but have to agree with Peggy...my things would also end up out the window..especially if I had the ceiling fan on. Glad you've joined the "C" club and I'm happy to know I'm half way through mine seeing as I'm not sure how I'm going to be set up after we move. Have a great week cheers RobynO#18

Hi Julia, I am not normally much for getting started early for Christmas but I too had a mad panic the other day so my friend and I who swap masterboards have decided they will have to be Christmas themed from now until then. Have a great woyww and happy crafting, Angela x 24

I can't begin to think about Christmas until I've had summer - if summer doesn't materialise before Christmas this year I might have to skip it altogether! I love the Christmas card on the desk - was it one long stamp or lots of alphabet letters cut out individually? Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great week,

Christmas cards entered my head this week as well; procrastination can do nasty things to one's Muse...or fire her up...ahh, so fickle the Muse...

I'll need to peek in to see if your Muse can fire up mine! LOL!

I like to tidy up between projects, but it never lasts long when you're a true crafter/artist. Happy WOYWW, my dear friend!

Christmas! I can't even think about Christmas! As someone who works best under pressure of a deadline, Christmas cards don't even start to happen until December! I would love to see the cards you are making though! Lindart #45

I know how busy you are, so I think you are very ambitious to do that many workshops between now and Christmas! It does sound fun though. I love all the lovely busy stuff on your desk, and just thinking of the Christmas cards is making me feel festive. By the time we hit mid-August, it flies by and it will be Christmas before you know it. Hugs! Sandy Leigh

19 weeks! I'm going to lose 6 to Bob being gone then finishing the studio.Counting I mail the Monday after Thanksgiving (well, I try) that leaves me only 9 weeks! Good thing I have a plan. LOL Thanks for the reminder. Creative BlessingsS! Kelly #46

Good luck coming up with cards that you are happy with and excited to teach! I think I will choose to be in denial about the closeness of Christmas, for now anyway. We're going on vacation soon and I definitely won't be making any Christmas cards until we get back. :-) Happy WOYWW!!!!

Sharon Madson said...

Thanks for the reminder about Christmas. I haven't prepared ahead this year. I have a few cards made, but not near what I need. You sound busy with your workshops. I am so glad I am retired and only craft as a hobby, not as a business! Happy WPYWW! #30

Nineteen weeks is mildly terrifying lol. I'm so not ready! You have been busy! I think I could work at your desk for hours : D. Love the cards. #51

Christmas does sound a bit scary... Luckily I don't have all too many cards to make, usually manage with about 25. But I'm not going to count that that's more then one per week until Christmas, where do these weeks fly anyway? Hope yours become what you want, especially since your teaching them forward and will probably have to make different kinds... Happy woyww!

OHMY Julia... I just heard the weather forecast for tomorrow... 30 degrees celsius and you are talking Christmas cards? Help! I think I will make them like every year... in the last week or so. Ha! I'm still a bit in Summer mode but preparing for the Fall - to begin with starting blogging again. Glad to see you are all around here still... it's fun to jump back in and feel among friends immediately. Big hug from Sunny Holland dear. Marit #36

I go to Podiatry each month and the first thing he tells me is how many weeks there are to "C". Now you are at it!!!
Joking apart, I have done about 3 cards, just ran cardstock through an embossing folder, stuck a bit of glitter on and mounted on card. I really do not know what else I am going to do as I am up to my eyeballs in birthday wishes.
Have a good week Julia, you are a star bringing us all together.
Hugs, Neet xx 19

Whoa! I totally different view of the desk. I was pondering making some Halloween cards but I just can't muster up any enthusiasm for Christmas. None at'all! Lack of camera batteries kept me away from WOYWW this week. I just uploaded something I had a previously photographed. Judy

I had every intention of joining in this week but lost a day. I've been adding storehoused stuff now for weeks it seems cause life is keeping me far too busy, and I thought I had a day to get sorted and set aside some time for visits. DOH!

Maybe next week...but I won;t join in unless I know I can make time to reciprocate!

Loved the roses BTW. I have a scraggly one still in it's post on the window ledge in the kitchen. It so needs to go in the ground .... our hubby's are on the same page...
