I had my head down....

Which is why you've experienced a blissful silence from me since Wednesday.  I woke on Thursday and decided that it would be a good day to sit at the PC and do some housekeeping.  Do you know I deleted over 1300 photos of workdesks and craft projects, and I reorganised a couple of files and as usual, didn't achieve quite as much as I thought I would in the time it took.  And gentle reader, I went for a bike ride.  It wasn't long and it was very pleasant until the rain came down in a sheet and I had to drop 5 gears and pedal like the wind...really.  Fat woman puffing hard on a bike.  Imagine.  So here's the coaster that loads of you asked about on Wednesday:

It was a gift from the WIllowy Blonde some time ago, and still makes me smile...because let's face it, there are some days when I would. And then, because I ignored other jobs and having had Wednesday off, I felt refreshed, so finished the men's cards.  Here's one:

Lunch Lady Jan hosted a marvellous WOYWW lunch on Wednesday, it was a delight, I can tell you.  Of course, I didn't manage a single photo (too busy talking) and of course, I'm depending on Jan's significant G to photo-shop me into something acceptable before I ask for copies from his proper camera.  Meanwhile, the sweet Di has 'run around' and blogged about it with a photo, so I'll send you there .  However, big up to LLJ, it was a great, fun day and stand by your beds, she's had another cracking idea!

LOVE that coaster - how come I missed seeing it in real life then (the coaster, not your knickers!). Wasn't Wednesday fab. - and I'm bursting to know what LLJ's cracking idea is. I have a little suspicion from one tack that our conversation took but will be waiting with bated breath.

After all, our conversations covered almost everything under the sun - what a fun day!

Hugs, Di xx

Di again - how totally rude of me! I forgot to say I love your card - I do wish I could get my head round styles like that - steam punky stuff is perfect for chaps and the black is great.

Do please note, I didn't say the word 'charming' - snort, snort! It's one to remember though!!

Deleting selected pictures always takes way longer than I think it will, even if I don't wander off to play Zuma Blitz or something. And LLJ's luncheon sounds fabulous, I am jealous too, but in a totally if I can't do it at least it's awesome people who can kind of way lol.

I'm sitting here with my first cup of coffee this morning and your post has made me smile. And how wonderful that you can get together with some WOYWWers for lunch. How I wish I could have been there! Have a great weekend!

Hahaha, love the coaster :-) It's amazing how much time housekeeping does take on the PC. At first I thought you said you'd sit at the PC and do housework! I thought that was a great trick and was going to ask how it worked 'cos frankly I've GOT to do some housework today and I prefer to just do it when the mood takes me which isn't that often.

Brilliant coaster! I had to smile at the vision of you on the bike, I can't remember the last time I rode a bike... Am off to check out the lunch now.

Okay, so when I was learning creative writing, they told us we needed a "hook" to get people to start reading....

That coaster is hilarious! Just make sure you wear your best ones, eh?

Love the card - it is tricky to make "mens' cards" so I'm always pleased to see an example on someone's blog. Not that I will be pinching your fab idea, you understand - but it might trigger something creative in my little fuzzy brain...

I am also slightly envious of the Lunch. We have a once-monthly crop at the local village hall. There are only 6 of us, but it's nice. Still, I'd like to have a crafting pal nearby, who would drop in for lunch once in a while... Hope your next one is fun too.

What a giggle!
I'm always puffing and blowing on my bike ride even without the wind and rain ;D
Your coaster is right up my street because yes I would!!! That's all I'd better say for now on the grounds that it might incriminate me.
Brilliant to see you all having fun together...it's great to put the names to the faces.
You look like you all had a wonderful get-together :D

What a fun post. Sounds like your knickers nearly got shown when you got caught in the rain. I would say that was a perfect thing to return home and dry off to.

You four ladies had FUN!! How wonderful. I was most surprised to read that Mr. D, Mr. LLJan, and Mr. Elizabeth were there. Seems like all you ladies travel with your OH's. It must have been a very enjoyable day!

WOW, how great good old Jan. SO gutted our meeting didn't work out earlier in the year.

I'll have to get together with Lisa-Jane and see what we can arrange.
Take care

Oh ROFL. I gather it was a headwind and not a tailwind? Actually that sounds fnarfnar.... Not that I can ever get them round the right way? Oh... I give up...LOL...

And I'm glad I've been let in on the brainwave - give me plenty of advance warning eh?

Great manly card! I would not show my knickers for chocolate. But I might just show them cuz it is too darn hot to wear pants.

Jingle said...

LOL! That coaster is too funny! Your card is quite lovely, indeed! Good for you on the bike ride! I'm scared to death of those things! My husband loves to ride!
