What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 70

Well, going to bed early last night meant that my table stayed tidy until about 6pm today. The picture shows some left over stuff after a brief meeting with a bride and groom to concoct some invitation ideas. Sounds very formal but it wasn't - more fun and shock - after all the groom is the eldest of Miss Dunnit's Godbrothers. All I could think about was the cot bumper and quilt that I'd made to celebrate his birth - about 5 years ago according to my understanding of time!
Ah well. So the desk looks good if you work from the top. From the side that shows the scrap boxes, it's starting to look a little well, scrap heavy! I'm still feeling quite inspired by my Isle of Wight experience (man those girls were an inspiration), and so hope to capitalise on that! You can see some really cute knotted ribbon that I brought at the crop, and if you squint, a blue card with white die cut snowflakes on it. It's been waiting to be re-made as a much nicer card for a fortnight. I think it's time!

I failed to get around all the desks this week - I repeated last week's tactic and started at the top of each column of links - this way I see late and early entries in a reasonable time, but time and real life really got in my way! However, as I keep saying - it's not a requirement to get around all the desks - when you leave a comment, leave your Link number too and the blog owner can return your visit - a nice reciprocal blog hop. Either way - no pressure on each other, folks - it's meant to be fun!
Join in then - upload a photo of your desk/top/tray/sofa/bench/floor/drawers - wherever you're working. Show us what you're working on and let us see what you've got. It doesn't have to be a craft or indeed a paper craft - just show and tell! Lovely. Leave a link in the linky thing and slowly but surely, we'll drop in for a look see. Can't wait. If you wanna go public, grab a button for your blog - in the left sidebar.

I'm ready for bed. Could barely stay awake this week. I was just getting ready to ask what that white stuff was, when you explained it was some pretty awesome looking ribbon. And I'm proud of you for being inspired, staying inspired, and keeping your area clean. You can tell Kate I give you a 3 this week, which is indeed high praise (grin).

I hope my larger photos don't knock people's eyes out. Guess we'll see. Happy WOYWW from #1.

Not bad at all...... for you! Quite a marked improvement over last week. Sounds like a fabby trip to the IOW, hope you waved at Spyder as you went by. The only thing I can't believe is each week my number gets higher and higher! But yes, those pesky neices/nephews/godsons etc grow up at an alarming rate, I only see my lot every couple of years or so, I swear they shoot up 5" inbetween visits.

Hugs

WELL! (oops sorry capital locks) Yes, IOw via Lymington! Hubby is the one responsible for making sure there's enough food and supplies on all the ferries. So probably not as he's in his little office most of the time or loading the boats with his little forklift! Too tired to stay up and type out my WOYWW last night, was forced out of bed by cat,(feed me feed me) and then thought, I'm already going to be late for work so I'll make time and do it now! (after feeding cat) and did! typed out, pictures taken, digi drawn (although now changed as It wasn't good) all in about 15 minutes, now that must be a record! and not too long...although I've added to it since on returning home, late as car konked out, luckily it didn't konk out on the way to work, making be even later... your desk always look really interesting, with loads of stuff going on...little things hiding in corners...to me, mine is the same every week even when I tidy up!

Hi Julia - glad you're back - I see you must have changed your password so that neat freak couldn't hijack your blog again...!!!

AAAhhhh- the famous (mis)concept of time has got you too.... my godson is already in 2nd year of big school... gone are the days he comes to my house to sweep up for 'auntie pauwwa'... i used to take it quite personally seeing as his mum must have some kind of ocd about housework - now i wish he would come and jollywell sort my floors out... maybe a story for when he gets married - which will be - judging by the way it goes - next week!!!! LOL

good luck with the wedding stationery - as i'm finding out with my friend - its quite a responsibility!!!
