What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 533

Welcome to Whizzday. Actually, every day of the week could be called that, coudn’t it! I’m reporting in from messy desk land. It was a very productive messy desk over the weekend, although I did nothing with the embossing folder and inks problem mentioned in my last post. Instead, I just made some cards. It was fun! I tidied up a little bit and found the foamy modelling clay in the moulds that I was trying out weeks ago. My memory..sheesh.Don't rely on me for R&D!! Anyway, thats my next job...
I had a lovely day yesterday involving three stationery shops and I bought something in each. You can just see the spoils on the right edge there. I like to buy a handful of funny, loving, motivating postcards and send one to her now and then. Just to keep her Mummy in the forefront of her mind! The pencil case at far left is full of sparkly gel pens. Remember them? Now I have to do some tidying. Workshop preps and a need to stay productive are on my to-do list. Yeah that one - the one that’s longer than my leg! Show and tell then please, we wanna see what you’ve been up to.

Good Morning Julia.. I can not play this week :( Boo Hooo... but thought i'd catch you whilst I had chance. Look at you creating and tidying up over the weekend. You need to teach me how to do that as it's just not working at the moment.
Nice little case for your Gel pens, i used to love using them for water colouring, handy for on the go crafting. Lovely thought about the postcards.. my Mom is my Favourite too..
Happy WoywW & I'll catch up with you all real soon.. Creative Hugs Tracey xx

Morning Julia. Aahh!! The to-do list... Mine just seems to mysteriously get longer every time I cross something off it... How does that happen? I like the little postcards!
Take care young lady. God bless.

Hi Julia, I have a thing for stationery, especially notebooks and post it notes:)

Looking forward to seeing how the moulds turn out.

I'm afraid I'm not taking part in WOYWW again this week (not been so good health wise).

Happy WOYWW
Sue

Good morning Julia, I’m reporting in from our little caravan in the Lake District. I’m not stopping long because they charge a fortune for the WiFi use here, so I’ll tune back in next week when I’m back home. In the meantime have a productive, creative time

Funny cos I've had a bit of a tidy this week though I don't know why! Like the look of the moulded stuff though not sure what Foamy modelling clay is? I normally use the paper clay. Any way have a lovely woyww, Angela x13x

Good morning Julia! Lovely desk this morning and there is always something to catch my eye there. As for the to do list, we just won't speak of it as mine just gets longer and longer. It seems to be gaining on me as I have slowed with age. LOL...

I love stationary stores too - even the smell makes me swoon in there! Always reminds me of first day at school! And I remember those sparkly gel pens too - I keep mine in a pencil case as well but I haven't used them in years. Come to think of it - I've never used them apart from trying them when I first bought them. I hope they're not dried out! Just on the off chance I might want to use them one day! Happy Whizzday, Julia! Now I'll go and whizz around other desks! zsuzsa #14

Aahhh, you do that too, send postcards to your kiddo to remind her she (in my case 'he') has a mummy... do all mummas do that? I know I do! Good luck starting on your 'to do' list (I won't say 'good luck finishing it.... when will our lists ever be finished when we keep on adding things to it?!) Happy woyww and a big hug from Holland, Marit #17

Now, I'm not at all competitive (not much) but I'll bet my to-do list is even longer than yours and I'm well aware that only the tiniest fraction will ever get done. And I'm too old to care! The trip to the stationery shops appeals. I'm sure I could waste a lot of to-do time perusing and stroking stationery. I, too, have a collection of funny postcards - my sister in London is the recipient for much the same reasons - there's no forgetting she has an older sister. Have a wonderful week. Hello my friend! OO I love gel pens. I use them in my bullet journals and in my coloring books. I always sit down at my desk with the intention of doing something and then do something completely different. I have some new craft goodies I have got over a month ago and crazy lady that I am, haven't played with them yet. Well have a blessed day and pop on by when you have time.

ooh geeeze Julia, ( I bought some of that foamy clay stuff 20 years ago and it's still in the closet) (wonder if its a brick?)
they look interesting the textures of the pile though, are you going to add some color to them? ~Stacy #25

ps I had to play click on the photos for about 2 minutes to get this comment to load.

Got to love a stationery shop - we did the back to school stationery shop for Alex, was so tempted to get things for me but resisted for now! Have a lovely week. With Love & God Bless, Caro x (#8)

Hi Julia, I've no desk to show and tell, well I do have but it's not changed in the slightest since last week. I have fallen victim to some dreaded bug that is making the rounds, so have just decided to visit desks this week, rather than take part. Gel pens are a blast from the past - I used to have every colour going I think! Long gone now. I hope Miss Dunnit enjoys her motivational postcards. Have a lovely week, Heather xx

I had a similar day yesterday - started tidying my work area, made it 100 times worse, found an old canvas board and started painting over that instead. Not even ventured out there today! I love that you send the cards to your daughter like that. Devvie and I do similar bu with cloth tote bags - it's turned into kind of a thing now :) x

My desk was clean prior to getting home from a 4 day crop/retreat. Tuesday you could only see stuff! I'm intrigued by the foamy modelling clay. Looks like fun stuff from the stationary shops. Hope you have a great week!

Thank goodness my to do list is not longer than my legs. When I look at them under the bedclothes I am surprised just how long they are. My toes see miles away from the rest of me. In fact I do not have a to do list as such, I carry it all in my head - that way half of it slips by forgotten and I don't get overwhelmed. Prime example - I really thought I had commented on your post yesterday - just doing a check revealed no no no!
Love stationery shops love Paperchase, love paper - anything. My other half has a thing for pens - I hate to think how many he has tucked away.
You have a good week
Hugs, Neet xx 10

Isn't it satisfying to cross things off the to-do list Julia. Pity they never seem to get any shorter though. Looks like those stationery shops were good places to visit. Hope you make lots more discoveries while you tidy as that foam looks interesting. Happy belated WOYWW. Sarah #6
