What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 330

Hello and welcome. Last day of month nine already! It hasn't stopped my Christmas card making (I'm saying that word a lot now!), but I have been a bit side-tracked, it's probably temporary.
I'm having some fun with some Autumnal naturals. Working in three dimensions is very challenging so I'm expecting y'all to be very kind when you see what I'm making. Aren't the skellington leaves lovely, such beautiful colours. You can just see the first fix of a Bah humbug card too...still walking around it, certainly don't think it's a finished card yet. I haven't actually been using those pieces of sponge (Cut n Dry foam) that you see littering and loitering in front of their tin. Slovenly. The blue burlap, pegs and wax paper are all together too - pegs holding a sheet into a shape whilst glue sets, the wax paper was to protect the 'mould' from all the glue. No idea if it will work yet.
Show us what sensible things are going on at your work desk will ya? Link your WOYWW post here and wait for us...it takes time!

I asked my ladies to vote on Christmas cards (or not) for the first session in October. So far I have two saying "yes", two saying "no" and two who don't mind. I guess I have the casting vote. Hmm....

Not sure if my Shibori is sensible or not but I hope that the results will be great!!! My mother used to make pine cones into flowers by sticking the seeds into a dried sunflower center. Lots of color on your desk today!!!! patsy

Gosh, you are all busy getting ready for workshops and I have nothing on the horizon except demo'ing this weekend at a show. I ned something to spur me on so hopefully a bit of die cutting (I am not a die cutter I am a stamper) will spur me on.
Love those skeleton leaves - not seen them that colour range.
Have a great 'whatever you are doing' and look forward to seeing it in all its glory. I can only think it is a decoration of some sorts (Halloween?).
Hugs, Neet 6 xx

A lovely busy desk, it's funny how things pile up on us... and when you know what's in the pile, it doesn't feel as bad a clutter :)
Happy woyww!

Morning Julia. Did you say Sensible Things on our desks?? Daren't show you the REAL state of mine - nothing sensible in the great heap of left-shove, new printer still to find a proper home, notebooks, general dumping ground clutter.... Oh well. I'll get around to tidying soon - maybe.
Looking forward to the autumnal 3D finished item. Have this wonderful picture in my mind of a towering sculpture of leaves, pinecones, branches..... Great thing, imagination, hey??
Take care. God bless.

I love those leaves, I haven't seen them in those gorgeous colours before, and I also love the Bah Humbug card - I know several people that would suit! Hope you have a great week,

Talking autumnal I've woken to a thick fog this morning. Let's hope it's a sign of sunshine pushing through later.
What a full of good stuff desk you've got Julia.
Have you any idea where would be the best cheapest place to buy six glue guns. The best I've come up with is some small hot ones for £6.50 each incl pp
Have a good week

Morning Julia, just love the colours of those skeleton leaves, not seen them in those colours.
I'm afraid my cones get piled into a pretty bowl, with a few Christmas tree baubles, a bit of tinsel and that is the limit of my creativity with them so I look forward with interest to see what beautiful artistic creation you make.

Hi Julia, I am hoping to see what you do with the skeleton leaves as I have lots of them but not sure what I should do with them so you must show when you've made something. Have a great woyww and happy crafting, Angela x 27

I never knew the name of those leaves, now I know! Nice to see a desk full of fall instead of Christmas. Allistair would have fun playing with all those pine cones on your desk. He would knock them off then proceed to play soccer with them; never to be seen again until Spring cleaning! I use freezer paper (white paper on a roll with a plastic coating on one side)for gluing. The glue always seems to stick to the wax paper.

A very colourful desk, Julia. I love the skelleton leaves, and the project wrapped up with the pegs looks most intriguing!

Your space just enchants me no matter what is going on here. Those large windows just captivate me and make me want to stop and watch what is going on outdoors! No windows today but I'm anxious to see what you do with pine cones!

Wax paper, pine cones...there's no stopping you now! Wish I could take a workshop with you on working in three dimensions. I'm not quite as creative with my card making as I am with other things. Today I need to make a wedding anniversary card with a theme of those 33-1/3 record albums. I'm going to use an actual record album, and I have no idea what to do! sigh. Hugs! Sandy Leigh

I have trouble with 3 dimensionals too! It will be interesting to see how you get on with the pine cones. Perhaps you can give up some tips next time! I've got some skeleton leaves lying around somewhere too - I bought them last year to use them on the gelli plate. Forgot all about them - I don't even know where they are! Happy Wednesday, Julia!

My 'galajurk" for my granddaughter is finished...as you see on my blog.

I hope you don't kick me out for not showing sensible stuff. Nonsensible is so much more fun anyway! Love your piles of this and that. I am counting on you to do wonderful things with your pine cones and natural bits. Judy #49

It is always nice to visit your desk even if it means that I have the days of the week right. This past 3 months have seen a mad rush of activity where days blend into one and the surface of my desk was lost to sunlight(regrettably not to cats). So now order is returning, well the kind of order only messy people comprehend.
Lots of interesting new people.

Look forward to seeing what you do with the pine cones - I love pine cones - always reminds me of Christmas.

Hope you have fun making something with your natural materials. You know you have a friendly audience visiting you here. I have just decided I'm not in the mood to make Christmas cards this year. Sometimes I do -- and enjoy it -- and sometimes we just do a photo card. We'll have a fun picture from Disney this year, so it's all good. Happy WOYWW!

Hi Julia, hope you don't mind but I just had to join in late this week and show my room now that the makeover is finally done and I can get down to some serious crafting again. Though there was no sensible crafting going on the desk this morning - just a very tidy, organised, clean and fresh one instead! Wondering what you are going to do with the cones and skellington leaves :) Hugs, Elizabeth
