I don’t think that many of us are yet over the shock of losing Sarah, and probably like me, your thoughts turn constantly to her family in their sudden loss. Just as she has done in the face of personal loss and difficulty, we’re going forward. She told me at the Stoke crop that her routine had saved her more than once, and with this as part of our routine, we’ll keep her in our minds.
Don’t think for one moment gentle Desker that your return to this blog for linking means that there have been many changes in the 124 weeks since Sarah set the bar for preparation, planning and tidiness. Absolutely not. In fact……
I’ve put a dramatic filter on it to manage the glare….You find me in the middle of several things. Finishing the VAT return (all the white papery stuff in the centre) making some simple cards for a girlfriend to copy when we get together in a couple of weeks. Sorting out the red boxes which are now empty…but too good to throw away. (That is definitely a thing isn’t it? Please…!! ). And unpacking after a crop day last weekend. I took loosely made up kits with me because I knew it would be a post summer catch up with the Coven, but I wanted to power-create too. Yeah right; two LOs, both slightly unfinished. Not exactly Sarah prolific! However, it won’t stay like this for long, I need to get it tidy (as tidy as it gets, that is) and actually produce something. Have scaled back a lot of time consuming commitments over the next three weeks - testing to see if I’m lazy when at home, or am I saying ‘yes’ just a tad too often so my at home time is otherwise used up. Not scientific, but well, call it the idleness test and hope you will see results instead of my having to admit to another huge character flaw!
Show us your desk then…floor/washing machine top/tray/lap…we don’t mind! What are you working on? No doubt some of you are all about Christmas now and I just know that’s going to make the pip of panic in my head grow to a kernel. Oh boy. Nothing like a deadline.

I am so pleased you were happy to take back the reins of WOYWW after we lost Sarah as it would have been doubly sad to lose this group as well. It is encouraging that some things never change chez Julia ... and yes, saving boxes that are too good to throw away is DEFINITELY a thing....!! Happy WOYWW . Helen xx
Thank you for stepping in to run things again, we are all very grateful as so many of us would be bereft if WOYWW had stopped. Sarah would certainly have wanted it to continue ❤️
It’s good to see that your desk remains unchanged, all is right with the world, I’d have been concerned had it been tidy! I hope that the scaling back of outside commitments helps you have a bit more time to do what you really want!
Hugs LLJ 2 xx
Also pleased you’ve taken back the helm. Still feeling shook from thr loss of Sarah, but it does make for a deeper appreciation of family and friends. That ethereal glow filter is a hoot, and yes, saving boxes is a thing.enjoy your coven!

You are correct, I'm also still in shock, but going forward. Thank you for taking the WOYWW reins again, and leading us on. Peace, my friend.
Jan knows just what to say doesn't she? Thanks so much for stepping up for us. Life really wouldn't be the same without our group. Christmas really is filling my time...I even put a tree up in my sewing room yesterday to hang all the tree decorations on that I've made for the charity :-)
Hugs,
Annie x
Thanks for being there for us Julia and for being the same as ever! You are so good at recalling and describing your busy, creative and working life. x x Jo 🌈
Lovely to see your desk in a similar state to usual. (It's like mine!)
Christmas is next on my list!
xx Susan
Ever thankful for my one weekly staple as is WOYWW, so thank you loads for stepping back in to being the host. Just realised I didn't even manage a desk shot this week which totally reflects how my brain is overrun with the stress of our living situation. Hope you get tidied to enable you to produce something. Hugs Bj#9
Thanks for carrying this on, means an awful lot. Yes, I SO know what you mean re getting rid of stuff but it's too good to throw away. Kyla
I had no idea when I was introduced to the group just how much part of my life it would become and the thought of it not being here is too much to bear almost as sad as losing Sarah. Really pleased you decided to keep it going. Happy woyww hugs Angela x11x
