What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 848

I don't know if this will work. If you're reading it, it has worked so three cheers for me. And boo to all the hoops I've had to jump through, not least to just understand the prompts that kept popping up to apparently help me.

Now where was I? Oh yeah, I had a bit of a purge on wood mounted stamps. So I decided to do the same with the clear stamps. As you can see, I emptied them drawer by drawer onto my desk. I cleaned and sorted into 'keep' and 'sell' piles boxes and again, spent a long time listing them on Vinted for about a quid each. Not a lot, but I've got rid of the majority without throwing them into landfill, and those that are left are now loosely categorised and only take up 3 drawers! The Christmas collection is last but not least but it will be a good ten days before I've got time to do that lot!

I've also also done some scrapbooking which I don't often do at home - a couple of Mr Dunnit's baby pictures that came to us after his Mum died last summer. I haven't done much to them except to make sure they're on acid free etc...they really aren't mine to over mess with. He likes the results and that they'll be a bit better preserved, so that's a win!
They are so of their time aren't they.
And this is the chubbiest his face has ever been!
I know I'm not exactly a regular Desker these days, but I know that I won't be around next week already....something to do with a water sports holiday....so help me, I would appreciate your thoughts....those thoughts that don't have us in a kayak with Mr Dunnit at the front, high out of the water because of his lumpy wife behind him! I fear....!! Check everyone else's desks out over at Sarah's, much more inspiring I can tell you.

Hi Julia, I'm here so it must be working. By the look of your desk, you're very busy sorting stuff. I look forward to seeing what you get up to next week. If I'm being honest we are not at home but by the Lake in Annecy France I shall say no more at this stage. Happy woyww, hugs Angela x6x

Wow that is certainly a stamp sort going on there, great to rehome some on Vinted too. Super pages and special photos too. Think I lost the plot with "acid-free" a while ago, only some of the Temu bought paper actually stated it and I use other stuff I don't know about - hey-ho. Anyway glad to see you have preserved these precious photos so well. Hugs BJ#1

You can see Mr D in that second pic, he’s not changed that much! Nice way to enhance the pics and they’re not just in a box xx Congrats on selling the stamps, that’s a good job done, is it better on Vinted rather than eBay?
Hope you have a wonderful wet holiday!

Enjoy your time away. I would say relax but by the sound of it it is going to be more adventurous than relaxy vous..
Well done on the stamp sales, every bit helps and it is so much better than land fill. Cannot comment on Mr D but what a lovely find those photos must have been. Now they are preserved and dd can enjoy them along with you two.
Hugs, Neet 2xx
ps my card is still up, it's so cute and lovely I can't take it down

Ah a holiday! That would be bliss, but can't see it happening this year. Oh well. My mate sells on vinted, but usually just clothes - I had no idea they did craft supplies. I should do a purge as well - but whenever I do I find I want that thing as soon as it's gone. DOH! The baby photos are adorable - I love old photos and getting them safely in an album is always the best thing. So glad the whole Creative Memories love for cutting vintage photos into shapes came and went quickly :) Happy WOYWW!

Those baby photos look so similar to ones of me and Annie. It must be the pose of the mid century decades 🤣 I love what you have done with them. Ours are still knocking round in a cardboard box somewhere. x x Jo 🌈

Hi Julia, that's one heck of a sort out going on. I find it interesting how tastes change and things I thought were fabulous and I'd keep forever have had their day and need to go! I hope you enjoy your holiday, it sounds very energetic and exciting (two things I never look for in a holiday!!). Just to answer the jar question - one jar, subjects written on green squares, colours on red squares and techniques on yellow squares, but I don't often pick out the yellow ones - I haven't swapped any yet, but I never say never!!
Have a great week,
Diana xx #13
