What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 785

My desk resembles a control centre. Our lovely daughter is at home and working remotely. She has two screens and a keyboard and a mouse and .....drum roll.....a notepad and pen. Although, I suspect it's more a homage to working at a desk than an actual working tool. I can't photograph it because both screens are open and contain information that is not pertinent to WOYWW!

I want to show you this
It's a Swatch. I bought it with part of the massively generous gift you Deskers gave me when I retired.  I don't know if you know this about me, but I'm a bit of a collector and Swatches are one of my collections. However, I'm not a collector for display and investment purposes. I wear them. And this one I thought, is a perfect arty/ATC type that will remind me of WOYWW every time I look at it. It does and I love it. Thank you so much. The crown on the face is a tad embarrassing but I loved the overall design enough to think I could overlook it, and I'm hugely amused that it's in 'seven shades of wee wee' which I once (and in many cases will continue) to observe about lots of Tim Holtz style work - in fairness though, that was in the early Distress Ink years and he has since 'found' colour!
The rest of 'that' gift voucher is waiting. I could accuse of it of burning a hole in my pocket, but it's more about me parting with final;  a great deal of the pleasure of such things is in the anticipation and browsing. The idea that 'I can afford that treat' makes me giddy when I look at something I'd like. As it happens, so I shall brag!

I read that watch face as a W or an M so if you think of it as a W it could be for all the W's in WOYWW. It is beautiful and such a lovely way to use the money collected.
Hope you are settling in to the later mornings and not having to chase about commenting. Enjoy DD whilst you can, sit back and just do what the hell you want.
Hugs, Neet 2 xx

AWWWW. I'm with Neet, call it a W and it has a stronger WOYWW likk right? Glad you found something you really love - I'd probably fritter it away on rubbish or stuff for the cat LOL! Lovely Miss Dunnit is there for a bit. Enjoy - Jack is close and yet we don't see him as often as I would like, us being so busy and all. I am reminded to send you a door photo. Found an ace local guy who did a good job for a reasonable price and it sure is nice to be able to use the front door again :)
Happy Desk Hopping (and for me, knitting)!

Great to see you on the desks today! Funnily enough, I read WOYWW in the scribble on the strap as well as a W on the face, a perfect use for some of the voucher xx. You’ve already got a Crop tiara so a crown just adds to the awesomeness! Lovely to have your gal at home, hope she’s keeping well xx

Well I think the crown absolute fits your Queen of the Desks monika so the whole watch is so perfect, including the 'wee-wee' which I fondly remember you saying and still makes me laugh! Here's hoping for a a sunny week, Lisa-Jane #6

while I think the crown is quite fitting, how does it feel to be a commoner in WOYWW!

Sorry I'm so late calling by. I had a busy morning with sewing then had an appointment at the diabetic clinic this afternoon [all well].
Really love the new watch.

Ooh so perfect as a memento of WOYWW and your wonderful leadership Julia - and well deserved. Thanks again for entrusting your baby to me and I hope you will still pop in from time to time - it won't be the same without you. Stay safe and thanks for joining in with WOYWW. Sarah

Lovely watch. Not heard of Swatch before so I diverted to Google to look. I liked the Turner’s Scarlet Sunset very much. How many do you have? My Apple Watch strap could do with replacing, just because it is looking a bit tired, I wonder if they have anything exciting. Happy WOYWW. Angela #12

I thought it did say woyww in a coded sort of way when I first saw it. Perfect gift! even though I have never heard of them before now, but then I do live in a dark hole most of the time! Have a happy WOYWW! I'm house and dog sitting so I'm hoping I can skip round to see everyone this week as I had to miss last week! Happy WOYWW ((Lyn))#18

Yes, I agree, a W …had to look again after you said crown, but that fits too!

Lovely to “see” you here today. Seems like you have been traveling a lot since your recent “retirement.” Your home is so comfortable and cozy. I felt that in just a few days. I bet your daughter feels safe and warm wrapped up in a cocoon too!
