What's on your Workdesk? Wednesday 768

I've swept the Easter decorations aside; half finished, obviously.
I collected a couple of second hand stamp sets over the weekend and actually moved them from dining room to Workdesk last night. That's it, the full extent of this weeks creativity at my desk! The highlighter pen is a remnant from sitting there to read through some legal paperwork. The purchase of Ma In Law's new bungalow has at last completed, and so I've been wallpaper stripping, masking, painting, dismantling fitted wardrobes...all sorts. Still a way to go; todays delights will include filling about a million screw holes in the wall from which I dismantled a fitted wardrobe (we're changing that bedroom into a lounge), and having a little go at the skirting boards. I figure I'm Ok for basic Do It Yourself chores, but don't want to have to rebuild the wardrobe in the new bedroom, way beyond my skill set! So while I'm painting on a large scale, please make me envious of your desk size creativity!

I hope the painting goes well and when you Ma in Law moves in she will be very happy. Looking out of the window I think I am going to have a wet walk to work this morning, if it is very heavy I will get the bus. Happy WOYWW Helen #2

Hope the painting doesn't take too long so you can get back to your desk Julia. I wouldn't fancy building a wardrobe either although I have plenty of practice with bookcases and DVD cases for the shed lol. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #1

I'm very jealous of your DIY-ing! I've yet to find anything other than supervision, design & purchase, that isn't too repetitive on my joints! I'm very impressed with your endeavour, and your choice of highlighter colour :-) Have a great week. Lisa-Jane #9

Sometimes we have no choice but to do other things but the desk will still be there when you return, the only trouble is they shout at you which is why I was far to late going to bed last night and now I'm tired. Good luck with the decorating. Happy woyww, Angela x11x

Oh my you have been busy creatively on a large scale. Forgot to thank you for your suggestion of reading ahead on my journal prompts so I could ponder them, it certainly is helping a tad although I didn't get round to my page yesterday. Did pick up a fresh leaflet from dancing last night though as it has ballroom dancers on it and the prompt was CONNECT. Hope your "filling" goes well today. Hugs BJ#12

I hope the decorating goes well - I think a wardrobe would be well beyond me, in fact a little light weeding has me aching all over the following day! However I love Polyfilla - no idea why but it's very tactile and squishing into little holes in the wall is quite a satisfying experience!
Hope you are soon back at your desk crafting,
Happy WOYWW

Didn't get a change to comment from bed again - must do better. Have ... fun? with the decorating. I have to say The Hubster and I work amazingly well as a team when we assemble flat pack furniture, but not sure about actually building, well, anything LOL! Enjoy the new-old stamps. Once you get done sorting out the new house, you can get back to crafting!
Happy WOYWW!

You made me laugh, Julia, suggesting a puit a trip to the Bridge Arms down as research! I do have to go to Istanbul at some point, since the sequel is partly set there, but Ellyn doesn’t come back to Kent if she can help it. Another trip to Paris could be on expenses, too. I had an American ask me if I’d be in Paris in July as she wanted to get her copy of my book signed. Thanks so much for your review, too. It was very kind.
Good luck with your diy for your ma- in- law. I hope she appreciates all your work.
Take care and happy WOYWW

Hi Julia, saw your question about the wood mounted stamps. I'll show you next week where they're kept, some are in a drawer near the desk and the rest are on two shelving units in the cabin as I still have lots of these including unmounted red rubber and I agree the prints are very crisp. Take care and happy creative week. Hugs Angela x11x

Good morning, Miss Julia.
You got this! Though I'd have to admit my wardrobe-building skills would also be not in my wheelhouse either. I do want to build a sort of apothecary cabinet but not in the immediate future. Need to find the right piece of furniture to upcycle. Creative Blessings! ~Kelly 318

To answer your question about the mini printer. A friend had mentioned having one and how handy it was a while back, I'd put it on my wish list then and even had a look into getting one but hadn't so YES essentially it was a surprise when she got me one. Hugs BJ#12

Wow! You are a busy little bee! Lucky Mom-in-Law! I think filling holes and painting would be the extent of my skill level as well, although I love watching other people build things! A nice tidy desk, and some new toys to play with when you're all done at the house! Have a great week, Lindart #20

I still have two tiny screw holes below my new fire mantel, but the hunting for something to fill them with and then finding the rightcolured paint to cover them afterwards is proving to be a pain. I think I'll find them in the shed...but it's full of cobwebs and spiders...so, that hunt can wait for a bit longer! Your desk looks interessing and filled with goodies as always! Have a great week. Happy WOYWW!? ((Lyn))#17
Ps...from the other week, yes, you can have first dibs at that big skip brother in law said he'd get when I'm gone!
