What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 752

Consider this a decoy. I'm currently in beautiful Yorkshire, on fairly short notice visit, and didn't even think about needing a desk shot when I left home! This pic isn't too old - taken when I was actually working on a LO at our crop just a fortnight ago
I've no idea how old this paper is; the gold embossed leaf pattern is actually a pumpkin shape - but if there's a photo of our daughter describing one of her many childhood Halowe'ens that isn't on a LO, I'll be very surprised. And it's probably fifteen years since any of those Hallowe'en party shenanigans took place, so I think it's safe to hide the pumpkin shape a bit and get the paper used up! So you see here the stage where I rummage through my embellishments and ephemera to see what I can use up and yet make it look like a deliberate and arty choice. *cough*.
It doesn't look very different now it's all stuck down and called finished, but I quite like it. The two beauties pictured are my neice and great neice. *cough* *again*. They are not mother and daughter. Work that out!
So Deskers, as we turn to face November and the seasonal crafting and it's inevitable deadline, please feel free to inspire and motivate at will! I am already thinking that I'll have so much to catch up on when I get home that I'll either go into overdrive, or procrastinate even more than usual as a reaction to self implied pressure. We'll see. Meanwhile, see you at yours, I'll bring Pudding and Parkin.

Just did a check to see the link and there you were again. Hope you are enjoying your little holiday in beautiful Yorkshire (nd that is a red rose talking about a white one).
Great LO on your desk as when it was, very autumnal and love the leaves. Cannot work out the relationship - too late for little old me. Bed time now. Plus that gold of the leaves is fascinating me - so rich.
Enjoy your time away

I love that paper - and very Autumnal! We had many little trick or treaters call last night - almost ran out of treats! Lots of little children on the estate!

I am not sure we have ever had a Trick or Treater in all the years we’ve lived here. I almost forget it’s Halloween most years. But the paper is pretty and works for the photo so who cares if it’s themed? Enjoy Yorkshire and hopefully the storm will stay south.
Happy Woyww!

There were loads of kids out yesterday on my way home, but they only called at decorated houses. Great layout and good to use old papers. Have a good visit in Yorkshire. Happy WOYWW

Hope your time away is a good one. One minute it's August and the next it's November. I try to get started with the C. Cards early but never get as many done as I hope and then rush at the last minute. Might be a bit late getting round today as we have the boiler man coming so better stop for a while and get ready. An unexpected trip - fab, the best kind. Hubby and I spontaneously booked (if such a thing is possible) 3 weeks in Tenerife in February last night. Only took us 30 mins to decide lol. 3 days of darkness before 5 o'clock and I don't want to be here. But do enjoy Yorkshire!! Gorgeous paper, yes it should be used - I am becoming increasingly anxious about how long I've had some of my papers. They really must be vintage by now!! Have a good week, love n hugs, Cindy xx

Having just got back from Devon yesterday my desk hadn’t changed since last week so I’ve nothing to share today. Also I have two bin bags full of clothing from Sarah to make 9 memory cats and a memory cushion plus I still have the 4 from last week to make (and one of those needs a jumper making!) so I doubt I won’t get time to visit many blogs today. Talk about retirement!!!
Hugs,

Hope all is ok, I’m guessing at a visit to your aunt? Drive carefully in all this crazy weather. Lovely to see the LO and using up stash too, perfect.

Good morning Julia, I love Parkin so please feel free to visit and bring some with you.😊. That is a lovely layout and I didn’t spot the pumpkin shape of the gold leaves. Have a lovely time in Yorkshire. Happy WOYWW. Angela #12

Happy WOYWW, and stay safe driving on the stormy roads. Not had any Parkin for years. Hungry now. Love the LO. We have never had any Trick or Treaters coming to this house. No street lights, mud and a narrow road put anyone off venturing out around here! I do look forward to being in a more populated area and hopefully have some small visitors (although one of the houses we are going to view next week is down a long narrow lane away from the village, so perhaps we will have to really decorate to tempt anyone!). Just read about your 6 month rule on one comment. I laughed because if I haven’t seen something for 6 months it means I can’t find it. Angela x
