What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 719

Thank goodness that the week has gone so fast. I’ve been feeling sorry for myself, miserable with cold and full of snot. I spent two whole days doing nothing but lie around shivering and believe me, that’s not only a waste of time, it makes me cross because despite being a lazy type, I don’t like to be forced into it! Argh. So anyway, the desk has seen some action, and probably more impressively, sunshine!!
This was Tuesday afternoon, and it has changed since, but it involves a Mother’s Day thing, so I can’t show you. My sweet Ma-in-Law doesn’t read my blog, but it doesn’t seem like a surprise if she’s not the first to see it, huh. Technically she’ll be the third though, because after I’ve made it, Mr Dunnit has to at least write his name in it…! So you can see paper piecing going on…the plastic tray is holding some body parts stamped and cut out of the clothing brochure which I’m now cutting up and sticking onto the original image. Very fiddly, but a nice effect, and a good way to soak up some sunshine! I made a card with it too, very basic after the scissoring exertion, can’t show you that yet either!

So please, do what I’m not really, and show and tell! Put WOYWW in your post title and link here as always, thank you good Deskers!

I hope the cold is going now, there seem to be some real stinkers around, making up for all that time when we wouldn't get out to spread our cold germs.... glad to see you've been crafting, more than I have done . I like the tray of body parts!! Happy WOYWW Helen #1

Can fully understand the thinking re the Mother's Day card.
Sorry to hear you are full of a stinking cold - lots of them about - lots of Covid too. We had three off on Saturday from our little club, all with Covid.
Good to see some long legged girls, being as I am (but not the girl bit).
Keep resting and get better for your visit to your Mamma.
Hugs, Neet 2 xx

Hope you are feeling better by now. If only the cold weather would go too… Those little gals are very smartly dressed! The card will be lovely I’m sure! Yours always are. But not too sure about the “tray of body parts…”
Happy Woyww!

Hi Julia, sorry to hear you're not yourself. There seems to be lots of cold bugs around. The girl stamp is so sweet and bet the card is going to look lovely. Take care and have a restful woyww. Hugs Angela x11x

Sorry you've been under the weather - I totally get the time wasted thing. I can happily do nothing as a choice but compulsory laziness out of necessity because you just can't do anything is very frustrating! Have a great week, love n hugs Cindy xx

I made it eventually, trying to take it easy today. I've been feeling "off" for over 4 weeks now, think I might have "welcomed" an actual cold for a few days and be rid of this lethargy. Hope you are feeling better now. Sunshine - ah now I think that's what I need, seem to have some today and coupled with my SAD light at my desk, hoping that will help me. Love that you are "showing" but not showing. Mother's Day, hmmm not done one of those since mine disowned me in 2019, hoping my son remembers though, but certainly wouldn't hold it against it if he doesn't. Here's to much more sunshine BJ#14

I hope you feel better soon, Julia. It sounds quite dramatic, sending your MiL some body parts πŸ˜‚. I guess you’re just making the card, though.
Take care and happy WOYWW
