What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 698

Today’s post is scheduled…I’ll be around later today; please don’t let the kettle get too cool!
Well would you look at that. It’s so clear that you could be forgiven that I’m moving out! Well, I almost am. Look…
Empty shelves! I’m going away for a weekend of scrapbooking and chat and that means packing all my supplies. In the past, I’ve laboriously matched photos to papers and taken those and all the accessory type stash. It works reasonably well, but occasionally I get to a photo and wish I’d chosen different papers, so this year, as an experiment, I’ve packed every sheet of paper I own. And a little over one hundred photos. This doesn’t mean I have ambitions for a huge stack of LOs, oh no. I’m really just trying to save choosing time at the preparation end because I’m a bit over committed this week. The left hand edge of the desk was the push back area for the various components I’ve been working on for a few Christmas cards. Now I’ve ‘packed’, I was going to glue them down and call the cards finished - but in the warm light of yesterday’s sunshine, I don’t like the red cards for the base. Argh. Next week, I’ll correct that! Now that really does sound like procrastination doesn’t it.
Don’t be like me, please post a link to your desk without putting it off, and we’ll visit.

Morning Julia, i hope you have a good weekend and use some of your papers!! Sounds like a good idea if you can transport them easily. I haven't even started to think about the Christmas cards yet.. but am determined to use some of the card blanks in all the boxes in my hallway and not just white ones! Your red ones look good to me!

I trust there is room at this Crop for you to 'stash your stuff' when you get there. It will be interesting to hear if this plan works and will be used again in the future. Judging by the empty shelves there could be a lot of paper.
Oh my first reading I thought you had said you didn't like red cards for bases but now I see you mean those particular cards. Phew! Was just about to use a red base for a card.
Hope you have a lovely time at your Crop, which I know you will, and that the plan works well for you.
Hugs, Neet 1 xx

Wow just look at your desk Julia ... I spied that gorgeous wee heart case 😍 I may have swooned 🥰 Too empty shelves ... I think that's a fab idea 💕 I'm looking forward to hearing how it goes ⭐️ have a fabulous time at the crop!
I was sad to read about the passing of your friend and WOYWW 🙏 Such a beautiful tribute you wrote and such a special gift Debbie gifted you ... the words are beautiful. I popped over to her friends tribute ... I was moved by the words for someone so very special ... I may not have known your friend but from the words I've read ... I know the world will be a less bright after Debbie's passing.
Sending much love and hugs your way this morning Julia. Tracy #5 xxxxx

Still a bit zonked out from the Bible Journaling Conference last week, being in American time for 3 days and not great at sleeping anyway really throws you. Lovely clear desk and EMPTY shelves!!! Wow a scrapbooking weekend, sounds like I could do with one of those to get me going on that again, still need to choose and order more photos but hopefully your LOs will inspire me next week. Still getting over the conference and all the journaling which I'm loving again. Have a super time away BJ#6

I have quite a few coloured card blanks and really should use them up so would love to see your cards finished with the red, it might encourage me to get them out. Enjoy your weekend but be careful, looks like Covid is getting a hold again. I'm off to the Craft club on Saturday but think I might be back with the mask wearing again. Wishing you a very happy and creative woyww, Angela x9x

Hope you have a great time at the crop, it sounds like a good idea to take a large selection of stuff - I know I would always 'need' what I had left behind! Enjoy the cropping and hope you get lots of LO's done.

Good morning Julia, I have a picture of you driving off with a car loaded up with all your craft stash! It’s pretty much what happened when we go away in the caravan, although I do try to cut down on the amount. 🤣🤣. Hope you have a great weekend . Happy WOYWW. Angela # 11

Hi Julia, you’ll need a porter for all that! Have a good weekend with it all.
When you come home you’ll be piling up all the layouts and pieces you bring back, so we’ll be back to normal😀
Take care and happy WOYWW

So early when I posted I just went back to bed, so have some time to visit. Thanks for stopping by. We are on a warm up and no wind so it is a beautiful day here this afternoon. I can't even think Christmas, I have this love of Fall since family is all so far away and my old ways of being together is pretty much done with Mom and Dad both gone. Have a happy week

I will probably not be able to participate for a while as Blogger has locked me out of my site for violating community guidelines. They didn't tell me what it was.
I have a tendency to take just about everything when I go away for a few days!
Have a wonderful time!
