What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 651

A touch late this morning, please don’t be fretful, just mis-timing! Sorry if it throws you out!
Well, it all looks a bit bland with bad lighting and dark windows, but I can assure you that it felt a lot cosier and even…a bit productive! I’ve got a few new Christmas stamps, some from last year, and I’m trying to use them, even in smallish numbers, I feel they deserve to at least be inked before being stashed and stored! I’m making a selection of styles and sizes, primarily because I committed to making up a few packs of cards to sell in an online craft shop for BANA members. (BANA is the charity that supports people with Acoustic Neuroma - the type of brain tumour that I had removed SIX years ago.) so I’m not quite in a panic but don’t really know about numbers, so am going to offer a pack of five assorted. So there’s more:
I used up the spare images that were on my desk last week, and that got me in the mood. The bubble Christmas trees were more of a slow therapy, I was sensible and bought a die that cuts multiple bubbles at once, but not all sizes. So there’s a lot of glitter glue bubbles drying  there!  I’ll do close ups before I pack them up to send. If anyone actually buys them! I’ve been sensible and done the insides as I went along…otherwise they end up being a great big chore for me. Strange innit, the parts of making that you like and don’t like. Anyway, that’s me today, please show and tell, your desks are getting more and more interesting as we rush towards December!

Oh I do love the bubble trees! I just don’t have the patience for drying them . I agree, it’s funny what we each can put up with. Paper piecing, colouring in, glittering, whatever. Each has it’s devotees, and each it’s haters! Lol!

Hard to believe it’s been 6 years. And still she persists… :)
Happy Woyww day!

Oh you speak so true, re doing the insides as you go... I always mean to but rarely do.... I love your production line though, very impressive . You seem to have created loads!
6 years? Blimey!! where did that time go!!
Your posting is perfect timing as now I can coat and hat up ready to set off for work... have a good week. Helen xx

Enjoy the rest of the day

Sorry, nothing interesting on my desk, as usual the journal gets in the way on a Wednesday.
What a lot of Christmas stamping you have been doing, putting me to shame. I really must get some more made although i am not making the usual 100 this year. I hope we get to see your various cards in close up when you have finished, those bubble trees look so interesting.
Hugs, neet 2 xx

Not sure my desk is getting interesting craftwise at all! Do love your bubble trees and stamped robins, looking forward to the closeups as I really need some inspiration. Think the zoom meet-up last year got me going some as I was inspired by you number "25" card. Can you believe I've been sitting at my desk since 6ish awaiting the link-up? Room not heated and in scanty nighty too! Think I'll got back to bed now, although have been practicing my Hebrew alphabet so not a waste of time. Happy WOYWW BJ(single figures)#5

Morning Julia, I can't believe I'm saying that but it's been quite a while since I got here so early. The bubble trees are great fun. I predict the will sell well. Love the robins you're working on - you're inspiring me to look out my robin stamps today ... they deserve an airing too. I'm not keen on doing the card inserts either. And adding matching envelopes is another chore I leave to the last minute. I should, I don't. Six years! Hard to believe it's so long ago since your surgery. Happy WOYWW. Hugs, Elizabeth x #6

Good morning Julia, I didn’t know about your surgery, that must have been a traumatic time. It’s lovely of you to help the charity. Your bubble trees look impressive. I have some lovely Christmas stamps waiting to be used, which I had forgotten about till now. I don’t do inserts normally, but I was thinking about it this year. Happy WOYWW Angela #11

Hi Julia, looks like a great collection you are going to end up with. I understand what you're saying about the finishing bits on the cards. I've done it the other way round this year and left all the insides until the end with the intentions of doing them all together but we'll just have to see how it goes, talk about Mass Production Lol! Have a lovely woyww, hugs Angela x14x

And of course the Robins! I'm going to do a few Snowy the Snowman, from Penny Black then, promise myself to use some Christmas stamps that I've never used....yet! Stay safe, keep crafting. Another early awakening 3 A M here, glad I remembered to post while roaming around. I'll be happy to see a close up, I no longer can enlarge your photos. I had to google "a die that cuts multiple bubbles " and WoW quite a few, then the thought came "do I have one small one similar?" seems familiar but not searching until late tomorrow ~! 6 years and how fast it seems to have gone by, a great fun cause for your cards And I'm sure they'll sell. My goal this year was to use Christmas stamps left untouched for way to long. We'll see, so much going on, and crafting gets delayed. Have a Happy week, sounds busy here with the holiday.

A whole little card factory you've got going there. My solution to the like/not like part is that I simply don't do "not like" - it's my hobby so I want to enjoy every minute of it - selfish? Yep. I guess that's the difference between creating for yourself or for other people, although I find it admirable that you're doing the cards for charity and I'm sure they will sell well. Gosh, I didn't realise it was six years ago you had your operation - I would have thought three years tops. I have to remember to always double the rate I think time is passing. Have a lovely week, Julia xx zsuzsa #20

Hello there, looks like you are i n full production mode as well - I haven't even got the glitter out yet and think I have more than enough cards for this year. Can I donate any to your charity? I love making Christmas cards, I think it's because there is a clear message, I don't have to worry if the papers/stamps/colours are the right ones - it's just Christmas!! Have a good week, Cindy xx

Looks like you’ve a good lot of cards. The bubble trees are excellent.
Card making isn’t my thing so my desk isn’t looking at all Christmassy. Each to their own!
Take care and happy WOYWW

Hi Julia, yeah, I think the wrist thing might be something specific to me. My left wrist hurt in the same place when it was doing extra stuff immediately after my op but only a little and righted itself after a day or two. I vaguely remember having the same sort of thing with my right now and again in the past but nothing like what I was presented with after the Carpal Tunnel Surgery. I assumed it was "normal" with this procedure and although I mentioned it to the consultant from the off he sort of brushed it aside saying that that wasn't a result of the surgery. But I guess it was for me - ho hum. I still haven't got my full movement back and wonder how long it will take, it can be quite painful doing some things like writing so I hope it sorts itself out as my hand gets stronger. Thank you for all your support here and on facebook during my recovery really appreciated. BJ#5

Julia, it's a little weird, but entrant 24, Anavon Harris, goes to the design part of MY blog. Can't figure out how that could happen. Does it do the same for yuou or is my pc just having a senior moment. Cindy xx
