This incredible amazing star arrived whilst we were in session on Saturday morning. I did a live ‘unboxing’. Something I thought I’d never do - I see loads of links for them on scrapbook sites that I visit and I couldn’t be less bothered. I mean, who wants to watch someone open a box of goodies that you haven’t got. But this beauty drew in a collective gasp.
It’s from Debbie at Tattered Rocks and makes a magnificent reminder of the collective achievement, I think it’s incredible. I was telling Debbie some of the highlights of so many of us being online together. Being able to look through journals and card makings, showing and reminiscing over WOYWW ATC collections, learning how to make our own washi tape, and some giggles, including aridiculous discussion about Marmite, of all things! Of course we, talked a lot about Covid. We talked of loss and love, and even the maker of the grunge, Tim Holtz managed to get a mention. From Jan. possibly the most unlikely source, in my opinion!
We were able to admire craft spaces too, and admire storage, quantity and neatness. Any danger of me putting myself across as cool and collected and in the image I’d like you all to have of me was impossible to portray, let alone maintain! I had to sit close to my screen to get a good look at everything and to keep pressing buttons, and I was so excited to see you, and we all worked out why my desk is constantly like it is. ‘I don’t want to work that hard’ was heard springing from my wonky lips more than once. There were a million questions I wanted to ask and somehow didn’t. I know that I’d have like to hear more from some of you, and will figure a way to do that, too. Meanwhile though, if I invited you to do it again, would you?

Hi Julia, absolutely yes, in a heartbeat! Even though this time my participation was simply me sat on the sofa, loved every minute of the chat, seeing unexpected faces was a delight. Not sure if I should be quietly proud, or hang my head in shame at having enabled LLJ though, lol. Feeling much better today, on a second weeks course of antibiotics. Stay safe, love and hugs, Shaz XxXXXxx
Absolutely since missed out on dud code and didn’t think to try evening one, not clever enough! Oh wow though isn’t Debbie of tattered ricks simply brilliant after all you are a star indeed Julia and 600 WOYWW is such and incredible achievement, what a great gift!
So glad it was open on Sat. Do you have Sat delivery? That’s unheard of here!
Royal Mail might be criticised by UK folk, but we elsewhere look on admiringly at times.
Thanks for sharing, and God bless, Shaz in Oz.x

Ha, I do like being The Elephant of Surprise :-D. It was a grand day and I was amazed at how quickly the time flew past! A definite yes to doing another from Blodwen too.....
Hugs LLJ xxxx
It was amazing fun! and oh my yes - I managed to get the first pick at one of the crops raffles and I snagged a stunning heart Debbie made. I look at it every day.
I was struck by how well people did, especially in the AM session, as I was there for quite a while, giving all a chance to talk. I have been in some meeting where you simply cannot get a word in. People were just great. I only managed the evening session for a few minutes, just to pop my head in and say HI, but that one seemed more or less the same.
I do hope we can do it again. Thanks for arranging it!
big hugs
Mary Anne
Oh yes, I really enjoyed it and would happily join in again. Many thanks for organising it.
Zoom does seem to let lots of people talk at once; if we want to give space for the quieter ones to speak, it will need some thought.
Although no one could see or hear me, I would do it again in a heartbeat. I just enjoyed sitting in front of the computer and watching as different people showed up across the screen. I must have been very late to the first one, because I didn't see you open Debbie's gift. I DID on the other hand, see you open the lamp shade in the afternoon session. It may have been the way my computer handled the meeting, but I couldn't see multiple people, but one person only at a time. I think that was much better for me, though. Thanks for putting up with me, dear friend.
I LOVED Jan's different head accessories and should have explained my take on marmite, too. It reminds me of Nutella, a sweet spread made of hazelnut cocoa in it's consistency, but NOTHING like it in taste.
Oh Absolutely YES!!! I had been a bit teary during the day and wasn't going to join in just in case I blubbed again - Tony told me I should and I'm pleased to say that just seeing everyone was a real pick me up! Thank you for organising it all! As for Debbie's star - its beautiful! I have some of Debbie's art and it really is superb!
Big virtual hugs, Chrisxx
I didn't see you open Debbie's gift, it must have been after I left...what a treat from our modest, but oh so talented Debbie!
Anyway YES YES I'll join in again. It's kind of hard sometimes to start talking when there are lots of people there as it can be kind of all talk at once.. but let's do it again soon!
Hi Julia. It was lovely seeing everyone- unfortunately my tablet battery died on the AM session, and our internet went off shortly after I joined the afternoon session. Not that I would have been missed much - I was one of the quieter ones, head down and concentrating on my crocheting. On the tablet I did struggle to see people, it wasn't easy to scroll through. If I can work out how to use my PC (which doesn't have a camera), I would join in again. Thanks for organising it, you are a star!! Hugs, Heather xx
Thanks for getting techi & organising the smashimg Zoom meeting Julia. I was quietly in awe at the size of the audience in the afternoon session, and my internet crashed so left without saying bye. However it would be good to do it again when I might feel braver to speak... thanks again. Take care, with hugs, Sue. xx
Well, I for one had a ball!! Even though I did a lot of listening, I'm thinking I had my fair share of blabbering!!! LOL I don't think I have laughed like that in a Zoom meeting...like ever!! LOLOL I would totally do it again! I so enjoyed seeing faces so that I could put them with the names that I have seen on the screen for years now!! Julia, you did a fabulous job at getting us all together and you continued to keep me laughing!! I love your humor! It was a fabulous day that went by so fast, but has made a great memory!! Let's do it again! :)
YES!!!!!!!
Absolutely. It was great!
Thank you for organising it all, Julia. After the initial frustration of not being able to get on, after that it was fine. It was easier once the numbers thinned out a bit because it was hard to get a word in edgeways with everyone talking at once, and a few people seemed to take up more time than the others. Also I found it easier once I'd discovered "gallery view." There were a few people I'd love to have had the chance to chat with more but hey-ho... It was great being able to put faces and voices to so many familiar names, and lovely to see some of the furry friends too. I would definitely join in if you did it again.

I would love to partake again. Enjoyed seeing everyone even though I wasn't visible most of the time. After connected It was fun. wishing I didn't have to leave so abruptly. Dh forgot what I was doing and had the car ready to roll. I didn't want to interrupt the conversation. Thank You for all the details we have no glue to behind the scenes. BUT IT WAS GREAT And I love the STAR
