What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 501/502!

EDIT; better brains than mine point out it’s actually 502 this week. Brains that haven’t had a week off. Yes, that’ll be the excuse du hour!

I have to say that typing 501 this morning is a bit of a buzz! We’re home from our lovely bright sunny break and really not enjoying the grey cloud filled days, it’s so dark! Still, one thing for sure, it will change to something else, better or not!
Here it is then. It’s just about to morph back into a crafter’s desk. It had a belated month end and other boring stuff to support first. I took a long shot so that you could enjoy the sight of the bin and the papers that float out of it while I’m sitting there, discarding stuff. Don’t freak out at the waste, it gets sorted and used as desk top saver or recycled as is appropriate. You can see boxes of card stock under my desk that came from Mary, I simply have nowhere else for this stuff to go. You can see three pairs of glasses on my desk. This is proof that every room in my house has a pair of Julia-suitable readers in it. And that I use, them, push them onto my head like a hair band to walk about and ultimately then end up collecting them from wherever I visit most! You can’t properly see it but there’s the makings of a large card on the desk...I’ll just summon up my courage and finish it before showing you properly. After all, it’s been yonks.
Meanwhile, please join in. Link up to your WOYWW post here and give us a free pass to rummage. I thank you.

That confused me. I was glad to see Sarah's post about the number. Hope you soon get your desk back to normal. xxx Maggie (Silvercrafter)

I have been sat here for ages refreshing your page because it said 501 - then the other half pointed out that it was the 16th and here I am. Shows me I should learn to read. Perhaps I need one of your three pairs of glasses.

I am confused.. we had 501 last week... linking up anyway! I'll summon energy to visit desks when I have stopped coughing and sneezing - the lurgy has hit here! Glad you enjoyed your sunny break.

Happy Desk Day. Sometimes we need a good tidy up to see what we have, get inspired, play with things.. then realise we still have to tidy!

Well Julia, I think you’re doing a grand job on your desk, your can see the desk top, a step in right direction, and yes I’d spied the glasses x 3 too!
... one thing about wearing glasses all the time, except for shower, you know where they are!! Mostly unless on computer as have computer glasses there.
That start of card looks really grand indeedy! So I’d finish it
Happy WOYWW from summery sunshiny Downunder. I did my post ages ago and nearly forgot to link over! Der.

I’m chuckling here. It appears you’ve confused us all today. Jo commented last week about it being a Levi jeans week being 501 so I nearly didn’t link up at yours today thinking you’d not written a post until I noticed the date . I hope you had a wonderful holiday and the confusion settles down soon πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

An unfamiliar view of your desk - I thought the floor was your desk space and the table your shelving unit! Had to look twice - welcome back home - hopefully, you've stocked up on sun shine to last until the end of the winter now!

Ooh a bin like mine - I keep thinking I ought to have two bins, one for real rubbish and one for recycling and 'keeping in case'! I hate sorting it out as everything gets stuck up with bits of sticky fixers and double sided tape.
Hope you get organised and back into the groove - I'm a bit envious of the warn sunny break, it's so ghastly here this morning.

Hi Julia, Welcome back to the dull grey weather of the UK! Your desk is looking good this week with space to craft. I had to smile about the glasses. Take care, with love and God bless, Caro xx (#19)

I hoped you would bring some sunshine with you from your Holidays but no... the Netherlands are covered under a grey deck of clouds too... and yes, those glasses... I have them laying on strategic places in the house but sometimes they wander around on top of my head, just as you describe, and I have to go search where I left them... Happy woyww Julia, hug from Holland Marit #22

Hi Julia, loving it! Funny, I made a large-A4 -sized card this week too.I'm afraid the sight of the area around my desk would terrify the faint hearted. Horrible to come back to winter after all that sun! Love & Hugs, Shaz #6 XxX

Happy WOYWW. I am another 'full time spectacles wearer', so don't have the issue of finding my glasses. My sight has got worse and now I really struggle to see without them. I have a set of 2 bins from Ikea - one for paper/card, the other for everything else. Saves time when putting the rubbish out on Thursday mornings. Look forward to seeing the finished card. Morning Julia - sorry, but I was just SO encouraged by you not being sure which way is up!! I'm in totally the same place - not a holiday in the sunshine, but a day in the day surgery ward at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd... However, I'm home, and in post-op recovery - so thought, as my grey cells still aren't properly functioning, I wouldn't post this week!! Your desk, and all under it, looks fine to me - mine is just the same- so take heart dear one!!
Take care. God bless.

Morning Julia! Glad you have had a good break, and yes it is soooo grey and we have drizzle here in London. That is the worst thing about winter I think, give me cold bright days any time. I have all the lights on (don't tell the OH) as I can't bear the gloom. Trying to carve out a play day today and also do some desk hopping but its nearly noon already. Happy WOYWW Cindy xx

Hi Julia, if I didn't always refer to my previous WOYWW post each week I wouldn't know the correct number either. This old brain is definitely slowing down. On the plus side my near sight has improved to the point I don't need glasses to read close work. It can happen as you age - who knew??? The box of card looks a useful place to rest your feet while you craft. Have a great week despite the weather. Hugs, Elizabeth x #26

I always have to check the number Julia but I must admit I had to look twice just in case I had it wrong.
Great to see you back at your desk, I have the same problems with glasses, one in each room and I still have to search for them!
Have a great week

Great extended shot of your work area. Thanks for sharing. Mary knew her items would go to a god home... even if the home is now overflowing. ;-)
I didn't post last week as there was no change. There still isn't. So this week I share where I have been working this week. Stay warm and bring on the sunshine - at least in your happy place. Creative Blessings! Kelly

Hi Julia, love the glasses collection! I need to get extra pairs. I have them for reading, and now craft work, but only one pair at home and one at work, so if I misplace them I'm lost! Glad you are fully rested from your holiday, and looking forward to seeing your finished card. Sorry for the late visit, have a lovely week Heather x #35

Well done getting your accounts done, Julia. I haven't even started ours yet and any day now my hubby will start clamouring... I hope you had a really great time away and have come back energised and ready for anything! Thank you for your lovely comment and sorry for the delay replying. I'm so glad you like the scarf. I'd had it in my mind for months to do something like that and it's coming out really well, which is very satisfactory! I'm working on the other end now, adding bits when I get a spare moment. Very busy with non-desky activities at the moment but hopefully once I get on top of things I'll be able to get back in the studio.

Happy belated WOYWW,
