What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 491

I haven't unpacked from the weekend of scrapbooking and chatting, so my desk is a bit short of interest! There's a succinct reminder to myself to do the VAT this month end, but apart from the fact that I wrote it those three letters with a sharpie, there's no evidence of crafting!
So how about the desk we used at the weekend...
I think it says a great deal about the need to have everything in front of you! You can probably just about make out the 6 spaces from the 12" squares we are working on. You would think wouldn't you, that between us we had absolutely everything. Turns out not so, we couldn't rustle up a basic Black Stazon ink pad between us. Not an epic fail, but a fairly epic amount of stash.
Happy Hallowe'en and if you're up early, sorry for the wait, I seem to have had a lie in this morning!

Morning! I was beginning to think I wouldn't get to link until after work.. but a lie in sounds great! That is a very busy desk for 6 of you... a bit like one of our WOYWW crops! Have a great day.

Happy WOYWW and Halloween. I actually went and bought a Black Stazon inkpad this week, as it was one of the items that was sold when a group of local crafters raided/visited my craft room for my big declutter sale! I soon realised that I needed one for my rock painting, so now have a lovely new fresh one (the other one was probably from 2004!). Ali x #3

I just woke up too so was that a lie in or what for me? Good to see your weekend desk. Evidence of busy busy and work! Now where is the shot of what you did, with or without the Stazon?

Morning Julia, hope you enjoyed that lie in..?? So easy to want to stay in bed on these frosty mornings. It's amazing how there's always something forgotten when we are so prepared for these events. I do hope you managed to find an alternative? Looks like a fun packed messy creative weekend and a look into the future as i'm sure my kitchen table will look similar to this when I start my Christmas cards :D
Halloween Hugs & Thank you for hosting Tracey #6 (?)

My goodness, Julia - I’ve just woken up at 7.30 and you say you’ve had a lie-in... I know you get up really early because by the time I get to link, there are always lots of people on already. I dread to think what time you usually get up!! Rather you than me. But then I didn’t go to sleep till gone 3.30 a.m. last night! That is one big, big, busy desk. What a lovely sight! It looks as if everybody had a great time.

Happy WOYWW,

Now that’s what I call a lot of stash. Like you though, even though you’d think I had everything I need, you will see I still didn’t have what was required.
Have a great week my friend,
Hugs,
Annie x

I'd say a little late sleep is what we all need now and then. Change of weather, time and age. Between life lite (medical helicopter) at 2:30 am, a train at 3:15, ( we are 3 miles North of tracks but when wind is in the south and they are loading corn during the night we hear the constant whistles while they sit on the tracks) and return of Life lite at 4:30 I had very little sleep the night before. Love that big green bag full of goodies. I could never figure out how a cropper decides what to take. I tend to over pack for any trip away, and can still not have the "right" things. Hope you get some normal time at home this week.

I was early getting up. Flash is refusing to adapt to the time change. In fact, I think he has actually gone the other way by an hour. So much for an extra hour in bed. Now what do you use a Stazon for, I wonder. I binned mine a few years ago as I don't like what it does to some stamps. It looks as though you had a great weekend. xxx Maggie #14

Hi Julia, great desk and bet you had a brilliant time. Don't fancy the sound of VAT returns though! You're not the only one that Had a lie in which is probably why I'm down to 18 today, still it's worth it. Happy woyww, Angela x18x

Thanks for your return visit, Julia. Yes, the competitive barking was very loud indeed! I thought it might freak out Lily and Ruby but they were fine. The pet service is an annual event and it’s very popular. It’s the only time we get to meet each other’s furry friends if we aren’t visiting each other between Sundays. Glad you like my peacock scarf. I just have to make a few more peacock feathers and put the fluffy bits on them and then I can complete the project - much in need since the weather has turned so cold all of a sudden!

Hi Julia, a lie in now and again does you good - I speak from experience. 😀 Great shot of the weekend desk - lots of lovely goodies there despite the missing Stazon ink pad. Have a good week even if you are having to do the VAT return. Hugs, Elizabeth X #22

If it makes you feel any better, Peter forgot his cocktail sticks and elastic bands for the next step of the engine. They were together in a small jamjar ready to come with us .......
What a fabulous workshop you had, lots of laughter I bet.
Best of luck with your VAT returns.
