Whats On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 394 The Jingley baubley one...

It doesn't really matter at this stage does it - if it gets done, brilliant. If it doesn't, well, we're all still breathing, right?
Taken on Tuesday afternoon because I was fearful of getting carried away and forgetting. And there's a chance that I will be getting carried away. That square of white is a canvas board which I've since started working on. It's destined to be a gift, so I hope by the time you see this picture, I might have made a picture! The plastic bag at left has shredded holographic plastic in it - snow, to you and me. I used it behind my latest favourite Christmas character...

Under that bag is a couple of gold coloured walnuts. Sprayed about ten years ago by my Mama...they are there while I decide whether they need a place in the decorations box or the bin. Back right is the yawning opening of a bag of chocolate buttons. Obviously, they've all gone now. And my phone, waiting to be charged. Stupid really as the charger cable is at front left, waiting.

Now then gentle Desker, if I don't see you back here before next week, know that I wish you a safe, warm and need-for-nothing Christmas. I'm absolutely sure that whatever your faith, we all feel that this holiday is the one that can really unite the world - let it be with love.

Joint the link fest if you've time - put WOYWW in your blog post title, show us your work space - for a lot of you it may be a kitchen at this stage - and link here, it will be lovely to come and visit.

Hi there dear Queen of Deskland, nice to see there are still some WIP around at your place as well as mine. My desk was taken on Monday and Tuesday as took multiple shots and now is rapidly becoming a dumping ground. Sadly. Hopefully some play time in summer holidays, they're my favourite time of year with big celebrations like Jesus' birthday and new year bringing our family together. There's definitely a special warm feeling about this time of year.
I pray your celebrations are joy filled and your year ahead is a healthy and happy one, Julia. And thanks so much for still holding the fury in deskland. It's really appreciated so much.
Happy WOYWW!!

PS RosA is sick with shingles, had treatment in good time but it's a bad time of the year to be getting them too.

Great looking desk this week from you too. As you say, the important thing is to enjoy the spirit of Christmas and what doesn't get done simply doesn't get done - enjoy the time with your family and a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and to my fellow "deskers"!

Hello Julia. Glad I'm not the only one still making for Christmas. As I'm 'under the weather' as they say what isn't done will stay undone. Does that bit of dust, a stray cobweb etc matter really.Would just like to finish card for DH - he is very supportive of all my crafting events etc :-) he deserves one made by me.
Have a wonderful Christmas dear Julia and I wish the a happy and healthy 2017 . Anne x #13

Love your desk this week - the little character is so cute and I had to laugh as I have gold sprayed walnuts in my decoration box that I can't bear to throw out for sentimental reasons! Have a wonderful Christmas,

Merry Solstice/Yule/Christmas etc....

If you don't want the walnuts, I have a use for them..... ;-)

I had to LOL at the comments above. Autocorrect in full swing what with Fury and flour! It is indeed a busy time for all and the hurried comments say it all. The little figure you've coloured in is very cute, but at first glance I thought it was a cottage. Time to put some specs on, methinks!

Keep well, keep smiling. Hope your Christmas is wonderful.

Back with you at last Julia and it's so good to be here again. I hope you have time to sit down and loose yourself in a bit of relaxation while you make your canvas, it's too easy to get carried away with all the preparations isn't it and, like you say, it doesn't really matter what gets done and what doesn't we'll still have a good time.
Wishing you Happy Festivities lovely lady and and a Healthy 2017, lets hope it's a peaceful one.
Take Care

I say, you can't be neat and make cards too. My work room has been a disaster for over a month, butttt, tomorrow, with the help of my husband, will clear it all up, move it and make room for our grandkids to play pool and enjoy the holiday week end. Merry Christmas. Edna B.

First of all Thank You for another year of friendship and fun. We have a lot to be grateful for when we sit at our computers to do our WOYWW entries each week. Lovely to see so many have kept going through the years and it is all down to one person - YOU! From the bottom of my heart Thank YOU you have no idea how the friendships have helped, especially in the latter part of this year when I was not as private as I used to be about what was going on in my life.
Hope by now that your canvas is finished and ready to be given away - and that you took a photo that we can see it. Love your little Christmas Character, what have you done with him/her?
Well, get on with the jobs Julia, our heating has broken down, no hot water nothing so am sat with a halogen thing on in the bedroom waiting for an engineer to call.
May I take this opportunity to wish you and yours a very Happy Christmas and all the Best for the New Year.
Loads of Hugs, Neet 22 xxxxx
