What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 393

There's still too much on my workdesk, but at least it looks vaguely seasonal. Things are definitely looking 'dumped' aren't they. I was working on the miserable looking dog card. Then I had to go shopping and abandoned ship without tidying..obviously. In fact, I haven't tidied properly from whatever was before the dog card - the block with the glitter glues in tells me that. The little jigsaw is about ATC sized and a die that I had to buy. That wired gold ribbon is still there too...I have used it this week - because it was there. I'll show you when I've dug out that pile on the right!
Show us your festive workspaces then, we all need the strength to keep going at this stage! Put WOYWW in your blog title and link here. Thank you very much indeed.

my you're early today.. I was just doing another of those ridiculous FB quizzes and up popped your alert.... your desk is looking festive, and I can see at least an inch of spare space... of course you don't tidy before going shopping, that would be counter productive later... I don't tidy, full stop! Love those big church candles; I have a box full that I used to put out at Christmas.. maybe next year!!

Guess I am burning the midnight oil here, but another night of not tired yet. I see a big roll of burlap and that red/green glittery kraft paper but cannot figure out what the images are - - little elves holding hearts? Your dog looks like Ba Hum Bug ! And thanks for mentioning the puzzle piece die. I have one and wanted to make the grandkids a card with it. Hope you are not having the very COLD weather..-25 later this week here. Enjoy a great week, loving the festivities.

Well I am still a b;it bog-eyed so try as I might I cannot see the tiny jigsaw. Did notice the jelly bean wrapping paper though - I have a roll of that and used it for my son's birthday presents.
Love your dog card, he reminds me of the actor, now deceased, whose name escapes me. If I remember I will be back.
Good Luck with the tidying of the desk, I am going to attack mine right now strike whilst the iron is hot and all that.
Hugs, Neet 6 xx

A scrumptiously messy desk! Does that dog look grumpy or is it just me? I don't think I've ever seen that many pom-poms in one heap! Have a lovely week, Julia!

Love the pompoms. Please show us some of your Christmas cards, the crazy dog looks great. I must ask what are the pink and green houses on the left with the little red hearts, they looks really lovely. Anyway better go now, off to the Gym. Happy WOYWW, Angela x 12

Hi Julia. Your desk resembles mine for untidiness. I am not putting away each time, if I did I wouldn't get anything finished as I am grabbing little bits of time to craft wherever and whenever. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! I spotted the jigsaw die! Happy WOYWW Anne x #13

A completely lovely mess on that desk ♥ I'm just popping on in to say "hello"

Hellooooo!

Happy WOYWW again...

Funny, I'm trying to avoid Christmas a bit! Still, we'll get there in the end! love the grumpy dog, and the jigsaw die. I have a bigger one, nearly A5 size, so I must look out for the little one. I think I might get more use out of it. Such as any use at all in fact, cos the other one still hasn't made it out of its packet! David bought it for me about 4 Christmases ago. Oops.

Hi Julia, love those houses you've painted over on the left. and that big bag of pompoms. I'd probably have dropped that and had them all over the floor by now. My DIL would have sorted them into colours, lol. OCD much? Love that little die, what a great idea. Have to look for that..
Have a great week, love & hugs, Shaz xx

Glad your desk is getting a bit of action too! I am trying not to get bogged down with Christmas but it always catches up with me in the end. I think I managed to post the last of my cards today. xx jo

I like the grumpy dog. I can think of a few "Bah humbugs" I could send that to! Really I just want to delve into that big bag of mini pompoms.....

Happy WOYWW. I managed to make it this week. I wish my desk was looking so busy. That bag of tiny pom poms reminds me of when I worked in a craft shop and had the genius idea of selling bags of the white ones as 'snowballs'. We sold a lot, but I gave myself the job of sorting through massive bags to find the white ones!! I would quite happily never see a pom pom again. Ali x #25

It is looking quite seasonal on your desk. I like the look of that dog card - very cute. I have actually put away my Christmas card making goodies for another year. I've had enough! It's time to get going on the baking and (yikes!) finishing up the shopping!

Take Care

Good to see that the status quo reigns supreme on your desk :-D. I bet that jigsaw die is used frequently, as you said yesterday, it would make a great atc!

oooh I love the puzzle die, most of the ones I have seen are too big for being an element on a card front. ( which is my usual standard) so, ATC size sounds way cool.
I like the pop of color of the little what are those pom poms in the center of the shot too. :) Me I am mostly done with Cards I needed for me as of now ( big last push yesterday because, I came up with something I actually loved and made a dozen of them) and some wrapped tags.

'Tis the season for busy indeed.
Thanks for showing it and telling it like it is! I am lucky to have several desks to migrate to. I have been in the sweater shop. Thanks Julia for hosting. Love to see what everyone is up to. On the fly today, but will check back soon with all the dedicated deskers. Keep smiling and creating one and all.

Looks like a perfectly creative desk to me! I love the jar of jellybeans (assuming that's what they are!) Probably wouldn't last long on my desk! Lindart #35

Hey...when I end up with a messy space that has no room left to create...I just move onto another room! This time of year I don't have time to clean up, so I just find some other clean area to mess up! LOL!

I am late, but here! Are those jelly beans? All of a sudden i am hungry for jelly beans! LOL #39

I'm later! I'm trying to decide whether that's a bag of sweets or are they tiny fuzzy balls you have there, Julia. I've had a busy day so I could do with a sugar rush! Your desk looks more productive than mine at the moment. Have a great week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #40

I don't think it is a miserable dog card! Looks cute, and I love the plaid paper. And I'm with Elizabeth; I thought its a bag of jelly beans.
Have a great week.

Julia, I always love seeing your desk! It's always FULL of goodness! I love the jar of colored balls! Awesome! I never clean mine, so you are in good company! Oh, I make a stab at it every once in awhile....but hey really what's the point, you are just going to have to drag it back out again! LOLOL I wanted to say thank you so much for all the fun we have all year long! You are such a blessing! Merry, Merry Christmas! Felicia #38

At last - three times yesterday the server timed out while trying to leave my comment - have no idea what it means but it was frustrating! I love the jigsaw die, I've been painting jigsaw pieces with gesso and each one takes about 5 coats, and with drying time too it's driving me nuts - the die would be perfect.
Stay festive and strong! Have a great week,

I'm actually in awe of the jar of pom poms you are using on your dog card. And of course, I love the holder of your glitter glues. I know you've shown it before, but it's been a long time since I've seen it.

If I ever get out from under this mess I've created (because I can't seem to get my act together until the day before Christmas), I'll be back next year. Not that far away, at least.

Thanks for visiting and leaving such a nice comment, Julia! My knuckle is feeling a bit better now but still some swelling. Yes, it's a huge bore and I just hope it won't spread. Thank you for your kind words about my art! I'm enjoying this project, which like most of my projects, takes far too long to complete! I love all the stages.
