What's On Your Workdesk 315 Wednesday?

Now this feels staged. And is staged in a sort of, kind of way. Last evening I was tidying up (a bit) and putting stuff away and finally getting the Saturday's scrapbooking into an album. And I decided that actually, the change that I had immediately thought about making to this particular LO really did need to happen or I'd be annoyed every time I saw it. So very last thing last night, when the light was no good but the spirit was upon me, I got out the (freshly sorted) alphabet stickers and left it all ready to go. Ta Dah.....
And just to impress you - look..laundry already on the line!
So that's my motivation to get on..a stage set to make me find five minutes. And I will.
Show us your motivation would you - we very much need to see what you're working on.
***********NEWS FLASH*********
In fact, we so like to see what you're doing, and are so responsive to popular demand, that Lunch Lady Jan has booked the hall in Burbage for a WOYWW Crop on Saturday October 31st. Yep....if you're up for it, we are too!
Now be a good desker and link here as soon as you like!

Just caught the News Flash before I even looked at the desk - brilliant news (and lucky it's not the previous weekend or I'd not have been able to come...) count me in though! Guessing the laundry on the line is why you kept us waiting this morning (lol) Happy WOYWW indeed!!

Is that a quilt I see on the line? They are the worst things to have to wash.

And where is Julia? I think you must have replaced her with a new Julia, one who is neat and tidy.

Saw the news flash. I'll be there in spirit, but not in person. Can't swim that far, even on a good day!

Good grief...you ARE an early bird with washing on the line! Mind you, I was awake at 5.20 this morning..sigh. S'pose I'd better shake my stumps now.
Hope you're ok,

WOW or what! The newsflash is certainly something that catches the eye this morning. Now how could I arrange an autumn break? Will get working on this.
Nice desk, staged or what - doesn't matter, especially with a newsflash.
Hugs, Neet 13 (hope it's not an omen)

Hi Julia, I often set things out on my desk (when I can find the room Lol!)which makes it look staged but it helps with the process of decided what to use.

Such industry - my washing is not quite in the washing machine yet. But I have started the bathrooms. Most of my best work gets done when the light ispoor and I should be in bed. Somehow my brain is clearere at night but I think it may be all part of a vicious circle - stay up late crafting, don't get much sleep, yawn all day, wake up at 12, stay up late crafting ........And boy oh boy yes, yes, yes, I will be there!! It's a good feeling to have a desk to sit down to and start the projects, but here it is rare that that happens. Usually I clean up, but when hubby calls, I directly leave and go and so stays the mess. Are you wearing costumes to the crop? I love a good dress up, but nowadays you should have to bring the invite at the door, who knows who"s under there.
Love to freshen up things on the outside lines...Pretty quilt, love the colors would fit right into my bedroom. Enjoy a lovely day, you've got a good start.

Yay!!!!! Count us in- a Halloween WOYWW. I shall have to make use of my Skull rolling pin, with some appropriate biscuits.
I'm so over laundry-been washing icky, muddy clothes since Monday. I too have to put stuff together on my desk- in my case because I'll totally forget what I was intending to do, if the evidence is not there in front of my eyes. That quilt looks beautiful, by the way. Love and huge hugs, Shaz xxx

I giggled and giggled that the laundry is drying on the line YAY for you! :) but, it made me remember I bought a vintage handmade quilt at the booth I did last month and I need to haul it to a cleaners. ( its hand stitched ) so, I am hoping having it cleaned will be safer than tossing it in my machine at home. (cross your fingers) ~Stacy #50

Hope the crop goes well. Really sorry not to be joining in WOYWW this week but I'm having a really rough time after my 2nd chemo treatment and am pole-axed on the recliner feeling nauseous and like nothing on earth... So nothing of note to show in the ARTHaven this week! Hopefully things will improve in a day or two and I'll feel like doing stuff again.

Have a great WOYWW Julia and everybody,
Shoshi xxx

Look at all that wide open space on your desk and all that you've accomplished, including laundry. You really have seized this day! (and you can have it to, it isn't doing much for me). Have fun! PJ #55

Wow very impressed with your washing out.
I leave that job to hubby and I am so lucky not to have to do it.
Kills my shoulders and the hubster enjoys it *grin*
Yay for another crop. Not sure if I can go but I know there will be lots of pics. #56

I don't think that counts as staged..just prepped and ready to go! I sort of miss the wash on a line (always smells so good)...sort of...and way to lazy to do it now! Good for to get your day off to a productive start!

sandysewin said...

Actually what you did is a trick I do often. If there's just a little time left to do something, but not enough to get knee deep into a project, I'll just get everything out and ready to go. It's very motivating to get up in the morning with it all set to start.

Happy Woyww,

Sandy #23

Your laundry looks wonderful, I love quilts! I would love to join one of the WOYWW crops but when I googled "distance form the Philippines to England", it said "10,943 km" - quite a distance!

I'm so late, sorry. IF you visit my blog you'll see why. Now that I've seen your laundry, I must get mine out on the line right now. Going to the lake messes blogging! :)
I am impressed with your prep. ;)

A very ordered desk today! I like the layout - would like to see it when it's finished.
I can't say my desk is tidy this week - in fact, it's amazingly messy! But there is lots going on, which is why there's a lot of stuff out (honest!).

BTW, could you please clarify where the Crop will be? There is a Burbage in Wiltshire and also one in Leicestershire.
