WOYWW 6th Year Anniversary edition

Remember gentle Desker, if you intend to be in the ATC swap, you need to add an asterisk * after your name when you type it into the Linky thingymabob. Then the next person on the list with an * will be the person you need to get in touch with to send your ATC to. I hope that's easy and clear!

Nikki C has again come up with a choice of badges that you may like to choose from to add to your blog. Or collection. As always, huge thanks to Nikki; because I can't do this sort of thing, and whilst there's generosity like Nikki's about, I don't have to learn!
Your desk/space is definitely a reflection of your personality, your art style, your craft passion and your life. No doubt. We've said before that a psychoanalyst would have a field day, and here's proof...

Seriously, letting us see your desk is as good as taking us on a tour of your home and daily life. We see that you've been too busy to tidy, or indeed to create. We see that because you were poorly, you've lost the energy and mojo to do much but browse mags and pinterest. We see that you've been shopping and then need to see what you do with your new toys. We see when your family have birthdays, babies, graduations and sadly, even funerals. You can't consistently let us see your desk without striking chords of empathy and therefore friendship. And dear reader, gentle Desker, what 6 years of revelation has done is granted each of us a  guaranteed cheer squad, shoulder to lean on and defender of your craft.  And so, if we don't make it to your place every week, or there are times when you can't fit in a reciprocal visit...we get it. We understand. Because we're friends, and this is about enjoying that which we can share across the miles of internet.

Thank you, thank YOU for being a part of it. Please enjoy it.
Don't forget that *!

I didn't forget the asterisk, and I look forward to seeing who my PIF is. Thanks for putting this wonderful party together. If it weren't for you, this would never have happened. And it just gets better over time. You are the glue that holds us together.

Happy, happy 6th WOYWW anniversary. May it last forever and a day.

Hi Julia! I am so sorry, in spite of your many reminders, I forgot the asterisk!!! I think you are going to have some work (like last year) removing our names again!!! I love what you said in the last paragraph!!! Yes sometimes I feel so bad because I can't visit as many deskers as I'd like :^((( I remember the first year I joined, I could visit every single one! We weren't so many then of course. Thank you Julia- I know a linky party isn't easy because I tried it once and never did again!!! Happy Anniversary! If anyone should celebrate it's you!!! patsy

I did forget the asterix 'ah stupid me' ah well have done it now and maybe I will adopt both numbers, I feel greedy this week LOL. Love the messy desk shot a bit of a reflection of mine I think. Happy Anniversary, truly you are a magnificent person to keep this blog hop going all these years, a real credit to you and your character, or just a glutton for punishment. No seriously thank you for uniting all of us. Yoda loves ya too.

Happy 6th anniversary! Thanks for being the glue between us all every week. It is true that friendships have formed here between us around the globe, I even got to meet a fellow desker AliH all the way over here in South Africa not once, but twice because of the fellowship created here on a Wednesday. When I don't get my desking in, my week just feels off kilter. Thanks for having your crazy thought 6 years ago and sticking to it. I for one am grateful.

Happy 6th Anniversary, Julia. I've been around for much of those six years and had so much fun participating ... indeed, if I have to miss a week or so I get withdrawal symptoms. Crafting is such a solitary activity but through WOYWW I've made so many wonderful friends, so thank you Julia for hosting WOYWW :) Have a great week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #54

Your query: yes, I do have more room, about 6" wide but it is something. If only I could figure where to put the stuff that is piled up at the side of my stamps (in the drawer towers) I could claim a bit more back. Of course I fill it up with work but then that is the idea, more work area, as long as I move it afterwards.
I do have the perfect solution though! Elasticated walls!
Hugs, Neet xx

I am slow getting round visiting today. I hate trying to do it on the tablet, far too many chances of messing things up. Thank you for hosting us all on this great 6th birthday, and for your visit to me. Sadly it is not a teapot you can see. In fact, it is a special cup with an inhaler lid to try to get rid of the last bit of my cough. Glad you like my backgrounds. I love making them and then finding a good use for them. Have a great week. xxx Maggie #8

Congrats on 6 years of WOYWW! You know, some time back I had a similar idea, of getting folks to share what was happening in their creative spaces, but then said, "Nah, who'd want to see that?" lol

You've managed it beautifully, which it why it's done so well. :-)

Thanks for the blog visit earlier.

Happy creating and happy woyww!

What a great post today, Julia! I have found a few "kindred spirits" through your meme (and I was so sad I didn't know about the get-together the other week... I'd have loved to have been there!).
It's fun seeing what others are doing and it does make me feel part of a community of crafters and makers, reminding me that I'm not the only one.
Thank you so much for hosting WOYWW for such a long time - cheers!

I do like your idea of gluing the lids of the glitter jars to the underside of the shelves...that would stop them bing knocked off into the back of beyond on my desk...as for wanting to be organised...you did a great job on the stickle storage solution! Pity your DH keeps you busy, those could sell quite well I imagine. Thanks for visiting my desk. I am slowly getting to as many as I can before the next Wednesday speeds up on me. I swear they come round with velosity!
