Can you tell what it is yet?

Last night, Shopkeeper Gal VERY patiently took 7 of us through the steps for making this. It involves some basic mathematical calculations at the beginning to determine where in the book one should start. We might as well have been trying to channel Euclid, bless him!
All's well that ends well though..it took me a few minutes over two hours. And some chatting and laughing, of course.
Of course it's not finished, there are face papers to add and some flowers to tuck behind the gaps and some ribbon to hold it at the desired angle of open. But so far, so good. AND..it made Mr Dunnit smile when he saw it, and take way more of an interest than when I bring home a bunch of cards! That has to be worth reporting on!
Have a great weekend y'all. To make for some time at home this week, I'm joining Mr Dunnit in the workshop. Guilt, of course!
Linking with Annie's Friday smiles.

I get enough math teaching every day! Always been keen on the art of book folding but never enough to do it on my own. Looking forward to seeing this finished.

Aaaah this is why I have not done any of these... math and I do not get along... I must have been off sick from school the day they did it.... LOL Love your book folding heart though and wish I could do one too!

That looks fab, then I saw the 'M' word!Brings me out in a cold sweat does that. I'm ok with 'normal' maths- add/subtract/divide/multiply,but when the alphabet starts getting in on the act, I'm a wreck! Hugs, Shaz xxx

WOW! This is fantastic - I would not have the patience for this - never mind the maths!!! Chrisx

Cool! I've folded basic patterns but never a word. I really like yours and it made Mr smile.....priceless!

Very impressive but, like Shaz, the thought of trying to achieve it is enough to bring on a total breakdown. Added to that is the struggle I would have to basically destroy a book, The only way I have been able to stamp on pages torn out of a book is because Barbara Gray tore them out of her book and gave them to me with orders to create something with them. xxx Maggie

It looks stunning! I am determined to do one of these, although I didn't realise maths was involved, which is not my forte! Can't wait to see it all finished, don't take too long, please!!

It's brilliant, Julia, but I don't think I'll be trying it out for myself ... I can see it becoming a bit of a compulsion and I have enough of them already! And what a bonus that it made Mr D smile :) Hope you'll post a piccie when it's completely finished. Enjoy your working weekend. Hugs, Elizabeth xx

I have seen a few of these just lately. What an interesting idea.I love maths - I uses to teach it - so that side of it wouldn´t daunt me, but the careful folding does a bit. I´d love to see it when it´s decorated. Kate x

I'm curious - does her method use the templates or is it measuring and marking each page? I like my method, but I'm curious about other ones - easier is surely better :)
I'd say I'd love to see it at crop but as yet unsure if I can make the next one :( Hubby is off to collect DS and his GF this weekend so not sure if I'll make it.

How many pages is the book?
