What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 458

My desk is a shock, even to me this morning!
At the far end are the last of the sleeves for the dies that I've been cutting. The last of the des are in that yellow basket. Each cut has been sellotaped to the back of the die so that they are identifiable. I've photographed them and will upload them for sale when I'm feeling strong. The (over exposed) pile on the near right are already photographed. Right now, I want to tidy up and consider my next move. There's a scrapbook page waiting to be rescued from under the blue files, maybe I'll spend some time making that up as a reward!

On a point of order, there's a 9th WOYWW Anniversary looming. For heaven's sake! It will be week number 468 and that, I calculate, will fall on May 23rd. Shall we do an ATC swap again? If not, anybody want to suggest some other way of having some fun to mark another year of keeping in touch? Let me know!

Meanwhile, show us yer desks! Link here and we'll visit. Gimme a chance please, lots of visiting and miles to drive today!

I turned my back to go and make my lunch for work, and here you are when I get back. the best thing about your desk is that it is daylight this early in the morning - YAY!! hope you get to the end of your die cutting mission soon, I can quite see how the enthusiasm is waning! (i.e. I haven't done any turning out of anything for several weeks again now!) Have a great week.

I've been sitting here since 6.15am and STILL missed #1 spot! It wasn't the news of Stephen Hawking dying but a Glacial Bridge Collapsing, would you believe it!
Anyway I was kinda expecting the Quickutz fall-out after your mammoth post of the dies yesterday. I did choose a few then but will have another look today.
Can you remind me about Mary please, my pending menopausal brain doesn't hold much these days. Thanks and Happy WOYWW BJ#2

Well would you believe it but #1 link doesn't work for me - could it mean? No! BJ#2 ever hopeful.....

9 years? How awesome is that!!!! I can't believe it's been that long! I'm going to look for my first post and see when I started. How about an exchange of gifts? It does not have to be an ATC, but something that we usually make. Some sew, some make cards, etc. We can post the progress of making it on our blogs?

I'm quite happy to stick with the atc's, nice and easy for making and posting out. Got to get my thinking cap on now.
Gosh Julia, that's an awful lot of cutting on your desk - hope you are recycling all the scraps. in the recycle bin of course, not using them up for something else.
Hugs, Neet 6 xx

My first WOYWW post was on November 15, 2011! Sorry I haven't been present a lot of times. I forget to link up even if I did put a picture of what's on my desk!

Hi Julia, I'm sure lots of you will realise I am about one hour in front of my usual slot cos. I'm not at home and we are one hour in front. My regular pals will probably guess where we are. I'm happy to make ATCs again, I love them as they are small and easy to post but happy to go with anything you lot can think of. Have a great woyww and happy crafting, Angela x9x

Hi Julia, ATCs are now part of my repertoire although I have plenty of tags that I could swap too. I'll get started on some over the Easter holidays so I can be ready. Sarah #10

Hi Julìa, it will be my first joining in at an anniversary. I've only made one ATC and that was last week, but it sounds like a fun baptism of fire. As Neet and Angel a said, they are easy enough to post out. Have a lovely week, Heather #11

Morning, an ATC swap sounds a brilliant idea, if we are on terrafirma and have a proper postal address by then, a decent surface to work on and reliable internet.
You have been working hard with all that die cutting, I find it hard to work out what sentiment dies say with a die cut of it.

Hi Julia, Wow nearly 9 years already! I've never done an ATC swap before but I know my mum did it, my dad still has a load of them because he didn't know what to do with them. I don't really do card making, every deskers cards/scrapbooks are amazing and I enjoy seeing everyones but its not for me. If you do decide on a swap could I just send out the ones Dad has so that they can go to new homes? I've been meaning to ask for ages what he can do with them as they are just sitting in a box. Wow 9 years Julia! Yes, I am up for an ATC swap - or anything else if anyone fancies an alternative. I will have a little think! Good to see your crafty desk is getting plenty of action. xx Jo

That really is a mammoth task you have taken on. But the end is in sight? I see BJ says you have posted some for sale - will have to snoop around and see where that is! I have already signed up for one swap already - presumptious or what! ATCs get my vote again cos you can keep them small and postage friendly but really I'll go with the flow. I don't get or send anywhere near the amount of happy mail I used to get and I miss it so looking forward to this one!!
Happy Wednesday!

Hi Julia, I'll be up for an ATC swap. Great way to mark the passing years of WOYWW. They are easy for international sending too. :) Well done on all that cutting, those QK dies can be so fiddly. Love & hugs, Shaz #3 XxX

Hi Julia!
Your desk is neet compare to mine. :)
An ATC swap sounds fun but I stay open
for whatever you decide. I never participated
in any of the WOYWW anniversaries before so it
will be fun.

I wish you a happy day and fun WOYWW.

You are so organised, Julia. Never mind if it looks a mess - it isn't really!! It's really productive. Having the dies and examples of their cuts filed away like that is going to save loads of time eventually and you'll feel well chuffed for having done it.

Happy WOYWW,

II can't believe it is almost time for another anniversary of WOYWW!
Good for you, selling off some stuff, that is what I have been doing too. Not that it will help because I have so much. I have seen that you have been scrapping; good for you! I have been trying to comment on #10's blog and can't, and even had trouble here. So I am sorry, but will keep trying to comment on everyone's. I even tried on laptop and iPad. Don't know what the problem is.
Happy WOYWW! # 26

so my being out of the loop the past three months leaves me with no clue for the die cutting. Love an update if you have a moment. I'm up for ATCs or Tags. I favor the ATCs as I have a binder just for the WOYWW anniversary swap but tags would be fun, too.

Happy to be back among friends! Creative Blessings!~ Kelly #28

Oh, those are quickutz dies right? ( I have some binders, I actually used a few of the dies last year some time ) :) (tiny bird houses) That looks like a project and a half to photograph them all. ( which I have never done ahhh) ( I am still working on my other more recent skinny metal ties) ~Stacy #28

Hi Julia, the only way I am ever going to post early is to start writing on Tuesday and that is never going to happen! Anyway, here I am, the old slowcoach, at last! That's a lot of waste card to be recycled. Wonder what it will end up being made into - that's if your council recycles, apparently not all do. After all that work the very least you can do is treat yourself to finishing that scrapbook layout. Have a great week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #30

I'm also trying to tidy up! But if things are messy, it means you're working hard. I think that those of us in the U.S. should also have an anniversary celebration! Have a good week!

Thanks for the info about Mary as I wasn't quite sure of the detail. Hope you have managed to sell more of the dies. Thanks for getting mine off so promptly, not had a chance to play yet as my neck is hurting from all the die cutting, hope you are OK in that department!!! Ali did warn me but it came on a few days after - ouch! Thanks again BJ#2
