What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 413 (edited number!)

Well Deskers, it's rapidly approaching. The eighth anniversary of WOYWW. If you want to be involved in the ATC swap, there are details in a page listed at the top of the blog. Even if you don't want to be involved with the whole ATC thing, please join in on the day, it will just be another Wednesday show and tell!
And in that tradition:
I took this late last night. Quite proud of it because it hasn't yet become a nightmare to tidy or work at. And this is after a massive clear up on Monday because I'd been scrapbooking. I've had a really nasty eye infection (now under control, thankfully) and consequently have lost a week. Now I can see out of both eyes, I see deadlines! Here you can see the germ of an idea that will be a workshop sample for next week if I get it together. The pens are re-branded Wink of Stella; can't stop using them! My trusty iPad was on the deckchair but I used it to take this photo. The green basket at right is meant to hold acrylic blocks and other stuff creeps into it very easily! Including an A5 trimmer which in turn has become a holding point for finished cards. I'm not quite over the Crazy Birds yet - I don't know if you can see it but there's one on that card on top! So, fair to say I'm slowly getting it back. I still need your inspiration though, so please contribute a link to your working space.

So glad to hear your eye infection is under control. Hope you got the little beep beep that stung you!
I think it is awfully brave of you to be considering a workshop when you have been suffering so much. Hats off to Julia and all that.
Hugs, Neet xx
ps don't ever get over those crazy birds, I love seeing them

It's good that everything is returning to normal.....well, as normal as it can be with you 😁 Wink of Stella is a silly name. What next? Pirouette of Peter? Nudge of Nicole? I could go on.......

Happy WOYWW. Glad your eye is getting better. I still get dry eyes at night and have to get up and put in drops occasionally - all part of my Fibro. Those pens look like something I would really enjoy playing with. It is lucky in some ways that I don't have any spare cash each month - or I would be drowning in art supplies. Ali x #10

So pleased to hear your eye is improving now. In my imagination I thought you were going to say....I see dead people! It's good to see you're crafting and creating too.
I have a feeling it's going to be one of those days for me....my first customer was through the door as I opened up at 8 o'clock!
Hope yours is a good one.
Hugs,

Glad to hear the eye is better. There are nothing like deadlines to either get you motivated or make your mojo want to hide; happy that yours hasn't taken off. Sarah #19

It's good to hear your eye is slowly improving and you are able to get back to some gentle crafting, Julia. Who can resist the crazy birds. I've had to put mine away to stop them creeping onto everything.
Have a good week.

So happy for you to be on the mend. Your space looks like a working fun MoJo desk. I noticed the stores now have mechanical colored "lead: pencils out also
And I've got to get back to my real desk and color my Crazy birds. Have a fun warm week.

Stuff just happens all the time doesn't it? Glad to hear you can see through both eyes now, the infection was just too horrid. Not sure my embroidery stuff will give you any inspiration but it's all blogged now. Happy WOYWW BJ#26

Glad your eye is better! Your desk looks quite tidy. I see you must take your glasses off when working at your desk. Sounds like me, sometimes I forget where I've put them lol.

Have a great week

I have given up calling it tidying up - it's really just a soft surface shuffle kinda dance thing with me, glad you can see out of both eyes ( reduced risk of wandering aimlessly in circles bumping into things on the way...) - ``I must post the Niall ( Mr G ) eye story on the web page, just need to do an illustration and I'm sure you will find you can relate...It has become a family classic...thanks for the visit yesterday - it is nice to know I'm not just talking to the ether! dxxxx 29

going blind is my biggest personal fear so, I was really glad to hear your eyes are working again for you :) I love that you got the sentiment on the layers of cake too that is really cool looking. I have a little pile of watercolor crayoned flags going on today. ~Stacy #31

Glad to hear your eye is on the mend, Julia, and that you can see out of it again too! Shame that it is only deadlines your seeing though ... workshops are fun but the organisation required is a bit of bind. I can just about see the Crazy Bird - I do understand why you like those stamps so much, they are so quirky and different from the many run-of-the-mill stamps there are about. It's a mystery to me how stuff creeps on to our desks despite our best intentions. Take it easy getting it back - no one is threatening to whip you. At least I hope there isn't :) Hugs, Elizabeth x #33

Good to hear the eye infection has cleared up and you're back to creating. I like the class card. I never got into the crazy birds but I still might need the cats. ;-) Hugs and Creative Blessings!

Oh, Julia, I am glad your eye infection has cleared up! I really like Wink of Stella glitter pens. So easy to use. In fact I think there is one on my desk today. :) I had to have the Crazy Birds, but haven't done much with them. It seems I am that way about a lot of craft things. Have to have, but forget to use or forget how to use! LOL
