Another grainy shot from my phone. Because it's rather too early to fiddle about with the card reader section of the PC which for some reason won't work right now. OH well, you're used to rubbish pictures. Now, the section of my desk that you can see shows that I have actually been making some cards. Oh yeah. Can't say 'I'm back' particularly, but at least I'm doing something! Loads of rolls of glue dots at back...funny how favourites come around and go around. The button jar is being used illegaly to store a glue pen...or more correctly, a tube of PVA glue that is impossible to squeeze glue out of unless it's right in the tip. And for a change, I can honestly say that the presence of the stapler has nothing to do with me. When I left the house for a fun night with The Coven, it wasn't there. So I can safely surmise that Mr D or Miss D has done something paper related this evening. I'm posting at a ridiculous time today, to see if it helps or hinders you..please let me know!

Hi Julia, That looks like a proper desk. Almost any sort of glue needs storing upside down, I reckon. Nobody touches my desk mess, but if they did, it would only be for the scissors. Your early posts work great for those of us on the other side of the planet, hehe!
Well, I love the earlier time, so I must learn to post in the late afternoon.
I haven't used glue dots in ages. I must get mine out and use them before they melt. I like the "illegal" use of the button jar (grin).
Happy WOYWW to you! I am a glue dot junkie - I like the tiny ones because I find them the most versatile! Of course, I always have to be careful that neither I or the cats end up sporting those dots in our hair!!!

At least the stapler was there (I assume it is yours?). When other people craft in my house it usually means I will spend a week going around their bedrooms retrieving various bits and pieces. Especially scissors, which is why I have so many pairs. You probably had all your congrats already but I have been away - was pleased to see you featured in Craft Stamper magazine but wonder how big this is gonna get - 7.30am and I look set to be n0 58 or so..... you've created a monster LOL. OMG!! I just caught the "you might also like" and it says "8 months till Christmas"!!! It has given me palpitations girl!! Far too early in the day for shocking things like that!! Re. your SD card reader problem. If the reader seems to have given up the ghost, never fear. You can buy a little gizmo like a USB stick, it goes into a USB port but has a slot in the side for you to stick your SD card in. I know this 'cos my SD card reader spring mechanism became unreliable (over use from blogging!) and it was a life saver. Having said that, I just used it earlier and have now lost the flipping lid somewhere on my desk!! Di xx

Looks like you have a fun pile of stuff on your desk. Congrats to being back -- I'm in a card making mode also (as well as being distracted by other projects that take my fancy - LOL).
I feel like a real stop in bed posting at lunchtime when everyone has stopped up especially. Call me daft but I love my sleep too much especially in this chilly weather!!! Anyway, we had a power cut last night just after midnight. One minute I was engrossed in my book, the next plunged into darkness so I'd have been in the middle of linking if I'd stayed up!!!

Evening Julia, haven't managed to visit many desks today, which is a bit of a shame after 3 weeks of 150+ oh well hopefully Wednesday won't come around again so quickly (where does the rest of the week go?) and i might get chance to visit everyone. Thank you for the fab advice on the glimmer mists i have no idea what to do with them so was going to look on utube for some tutorials so i will try your technique, and see what backgrounds i can make Hope you have a great week. Those water soluble oil pastels (Reeves brand) cost less than $14 (AUST). So, VERY reasonable, and they are good enough for me, at this time. (I know those Caran d'Ache ones are exhorbitantly expensive!) I'm very pleased with the way these work. And there are quite a few interesting projects in "Art to Wear"!
The hero card looks very interesting and the buttons in the foreground and oh, most everything else! Patsy

Hi...me again, I posted the candle holder that, on Wednesday, I'd hoped to create. It took awhile and several attempts, but I'm happy with what I've made. Now on to cleaning up so I can make another mess for next week :-)
