Points of Inpsiration 3.

Colour!
These are fat quarters; photos by the Important G, who is Jan's husband. Aren't they lovely?  You may have seen them before on Jan's blog; we were in the same shop, on the same holiday together, see.  Each time I page through that file of photos (which is relatively regularly, it was a fun weekend) I stop at these two pictures.  No doubt, as much as I'm beginning to understand and like the seven shades of wee wee style of the Holtzians, and as pretty as I find the white bases and pastel colours that the cutie school prefer, my heart lies with big colour.   And so these pictures make me happy.  And that is enough to make me want to pick up a piece of paper and do something creative.

Have a lovely, sun filled, colourful weekend.

I love seeing boxes of fat quarters ...even though I still have not yet mastered the threading of my machine ...well the spool bit.
Sorry ... I have put the wrong name for those pens ..they are Flex markers ...someone was doing a review of them ...thought it was you ...obviously not lol. They are the new Pro marker .... with a brush tip instead of fine ...in 24 colours ...all different but toning with the original style colours....wish I could remember who it was who was reviewing them ...they were doing it in two parts ...only read the first. xx

I love seeing lots of fabrics and would happily spend hours going through all the designs and colours in our local fabric shop.

Gorgeous colours - love looking at fat quarters and would find these hard to resist even though it's only on high days and holidays that my sewing machine sees the light of day :) The photos are great for kick-starting ideas on colour combinations. Thanks for the comment on my layout - I find what you said about the journalling reassuring. Elizabeth x

I'm a big fan of BIG color, too. No wee wee colors for me, not even if I got them free. I might take a bit of rust now and then, but I still love COLOR! You go girl.

Aaah, you would have loved the material shops in Saudi... something to behold indeed! The materials were the most exotic of colours and the wee mannies were magicians in dressing the dress forms used to display them... sadly they did not like you to take photos of them so all I have is the images burned into my brain....

Will try again, 2 previous comments must be in CYBER SPACE. Love your colorful photos.
Fat Quarters are Addicting. Like Patterned Papers, can just hoard away and enjoy the design.
