What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 64

Ha! Told you it wouldn't last. Or did I? Probably not - but you knew anyway! So here it is, back to being a glory surface. The Copics are out - all those shades are for a Christmas card that I had finished working on. The pack of Artemio stamps are the top of a pile of clear stamps in the Christmas theme.....I am trying to fulfil a promise, made here, very publicly. There's a cold cup of coffee - because I moved it to the left which is out of my 'favoured hand' line. Apparently. I say it's more to do with getting engrossed and forgetting it. The jar of buttons is teetering on the left front edge - I know not why. At a guess I'd say they were standing on top of my Copics box so had to be moved. There are the makings of a proper card on the desk though, so even though I've worked myself into about 6 square inches of space, I'm functioning. And look - a baby wipe - gosh everyone, I must have cleaned a stamp!

If this sight doesn't make you feel better about your own space, I fear that we are related and you'll just have to live with that bombshell. Meanwhile though, please show your work space and what you're up to....we love seeing it. Post a pic on your blog, come back here and add your link to the ever helpful Mr Linky. Lots of people visit lots of people, some people will visit everyone, some in one day, others over a bunch of days. No matter - this is about the showing and the sharing. Do you have any idea how many tips and ideas we've shared by doing this? I estimate about sixtyninetykerjillion by now. Priceless!

Personally I will be operating remotely this week, this post has been scheduled (I hope). This is not only my desk as at Tuesday evening, it's pretty much how I will leave it! My visiting you may well be erm, patchy or non existent. Don't take it personally, and don't worry - it's all good!

I panicked at 6.00am - wondering where on earth WOYWW had gone - then I had to leave for work and by the time I get in and can check, I'm number 35 already..... sheesh. So much for being the early bird eh? I'm glad it's going ahead as usual though!

Your Christmas stamps look good - polymer still looks ok if not cleaned LOL. Would love to see how you store your Copics.

Hi Julia
Hope you are having fun wherever you are !
SO lovely to see a desk as messy as mine - perhaps cleaning my desk will be plan 1002 for my day on Saturday !
Please don't tell me I have to be thinking Christmas already - or maybe as the weather outside the window IS like November today I shall think I've fast forwarded 3 months !

Victoria said...

oooh metallic Stazon, there's something I don't have, didn't know existing and now feel I need to have lol!

Christmas card is loking good, you're cut all those little images out though - all too patient for a lazy crafter like me!

The paper for your card looks good. Is it a row of presents that is on top of the dotty paper. As for cold coffee that's what the microwave is for. Well I use mine for reheating coffee more than anything.

A funny thing happened on the way to leaving you a message this lovely Wednesday morning. Exactly one week after I contracted the virus that invaded my computer, my computer geek Scott popped by and together we repaired the virus. That's why I'm number 38 (as of the time I started this message) leaving a message, and number 7 in the links. In that amount of time, I was able to fix my computer problem and read your post. Six inches seems to be enough for you to function and all is right with the world. I would say it's a priceless desk and a priceless day. I only hope those buttons don't take a tumble.

I'm working in a little more than six inches myself this week but that's my own fault because I need to put a few things away.
Have to say I'm still only thinking about christmas cards but I do have three 'sets' to do this year, regular ones, mini/moke ones and land rover ones and ideas they are a lacking

Metallic stazon - uhm that would work with my WIP right now.
I found my baby wipes and used them to clean my acrylic blocks which had so much glue on them they weren't actually transparent anymore! What is in those wipes though! Glad you could remote in, hope you are somewhere nice.

I love seeing your desk, I feel very at home. Actually I would rather be there than here, I can't get to mine this morning and will need to tidy before I can do anything.

I get the teetering on the edge, and the moving out of hand reach. i get told off practically every day for leaving half a cu of tea....OH has threatened numerous times to only give me half a cup..but as i pointed out to him, it is clearly the top half that I like!

How come I miss it so much when I don't WOYWW for a week or two in an attempt to clear some of the to-do list? All I feel is left-out!
Your desk looks wonderfully busy and creative, love the red and white card you're busy with

Unknown said...

LOVE the stamps to your right. However, I've cheated a bit and bought toppers from QVC - and not even got round to doing ANYTHING remotely christmassy yet...

The cups of coffee i've wasted... however, everyone is BARRED from putting cups or food on my desk. Least of all because we are a clumsy lot - me in particular, and it'll go over anything that is on my desk at the time - well, that'll be loads of rubbish at least!!!

Hope you are well. Thanks for hosting again. I'll be a better WOYWWer this week and TRY and make more visits - with one thing and my mother, i didn't manage it last week... or the week before that (ooer)

Paula x x x much hugs.
