You turn your back..

..for five minutes and the week has passed you by. Amazing innit. After Miss Dunnit's birthday, I had a second day off and mixed in some lovely stuff. Did Shopkeeper Gal's workshop - these cards - great techniques, lovely new products to try (the dies on the Just A Note card...oohhh lovely). She teaches and demos well that Gal. I will have to make an effigy of her from blue tack and stick pins in its butt. This is the way I deal with a lot of threats to my lovely workshop job! Then I went to Salisbury and met me chums for a tapas lunch. I know. And we sat outside like cosmopolitan women. It felt very grown up. And not a photo taken to prove it. Must improve. There is a point to telling you all this basic diary drivel. One of my luncheon (!) chums was Scrap Lady Ally - she of 2 Scrap Ladies. She has already the posted the details for our Christmas Card Marathon day over at our 2SL blog. And as if to prove my life to be an unorganised mass of disorganisation, she shared with me the prototypes of ten of her cards! They were of course, lovely, and festive. I haven't done any yet, but I promise I will, and I'll be sneak peeking them all over here to prove it! Meanwhile, I have to buy more blue tack and a larger quantity of pins.

Beautiful cards, especially the yacht. Glad it's not just me who's lost the rest of the week.

ooh love the sail boat - I haven't worked out how you guys do those ones...

it's just cruel to show someone a completed job before you've even started - how behind are you? how slow? how totally useless by comparison? you are right the effigy needs stabbing! and burning,

we love them tho'

Oh gawd. *fingers in ears* Lalalalalalala! Not even started. Copious hints of what people want for Christmas which has given me an inflated ego as it's the first time I've had serious 'ooh for Christmas can you make me...' instead of 'Will you buy me...' hints ;) It's vay nice if a bit panic inducing.

Adore the colours on that boat card - so pretty. Soooo you have to spill. Who is who out of you cosmopolitan gals? Which one is Carrie? Most importantly which one is Samantha??

LOL! I've got a stamp that says "this card was made by hand. If you throw it away those same hands will make a doll in your image and stick pins in its butt" heh heh! :D

I laughed so hard my sides are hurting. Someone not only stole my week, they stole my time this week. I haven't even been able to keep up, as is evidenced by the lateness of visiting. These are really cute cards, and I can't believe you are making Christmas cards or even THINKING about making Christmas cards when the weather hits the 40 plus C (100 plus F) each day. Anything Christmas would melt in my hands like an ice cube in my coffee. Sounds like your luncheon was a success, though. Instead of pushing pins in butts, you should be hanging your camera around your neck!
