What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 309

The sixth anniversary of WOYWW is very nearly upon us. Week 312.
This is a link to explain the ATC swap that we're gearing up for.
As I usually do, I took two photos of my desk, and can only show you this one..

Because for once, I don't want you to see what's under the new stuff. And the overhead shot really did show my ATCs off. Strange how the camera shows more than the viewfinder! But, despite the gloom this morning, you can see I've got new paper and twine and the shiny packet is probably a new die, possibly by Kaisercraft. That Shopkeeper Gal has produced a new workshop schedule so I felt the need to buy a couple of things to kick start my card samples. *ahem..any excuse*.
The notebook pages on my ipad stand are torn from a now full book which is in file 13. The notes pertain to some layout ideas that I garnered at a convention in 2006. Yep, seven years later and I still intend to do the pages. Ho hum. You can just see my WOYWW wet wipe holder at left, made for me by Annie and Twiglet some years back now..a really useful and cherished pressie. You also get sight of my unweeded patio. Hmm...I refuse to do more than try to control the height of them now...we are due to build on that space this year, so I'm not wasting my energies!
Show and tell then please - we want to see what you're up to as well. Put WOYWW in your post title and link here..simple and it makes you visit-able!

Lovely desk - mischievous linky!

This week I've created a very special scrapbooking layout about my Mother, who is no longer with us. I hope you'll all stop by for a visit. Grief is such a personal thing - but I'm happy to share this special memory with you today.

Hi Julia. I'm a little later to join in the fun this week....I've been given the day off to recover from this cold. It seems I've timed it right to catch Mr Linky :-)
I shall be posting my ATCs to you soon but was hoping to label the envelopes with those that are coming to the crop so I don't end up sending those ones twice.
Hugs,

I love the colour of the twine Julia! And I too had to put away 'something' that I don't want you deskers to see this morning... ha! Your patio looks good to me (coming from a house with garden to an appartment with a small balcony: any patio/garden looks awesome to me!!) Have a great, sunshiny day! Happy woyww, Marit #26

Aah, the projects of the past - I recently decided that it was time to lose the craft stamper back copies from 2008 - but had to go through them first and still managed to pull out a fair few projects 'to do one day'. Shame I still haven't done anything from the magazines in, 2009, 2010, 2011........

A wet wipe holder, who would have thought it..... I like that idea.

Blue paper ...... is that an omen?

I often go through my folder of 'old' cards for inspiration, old is gold I have heard say!

You can't go wrong with polka dots. I've given SU a mention today. I don't usually tout for business on a Wednesday, but there'll nothing to donate to the cause if I don't!

CraftygasheadZo said...

Love the polka dots and the blue tones. I'm being naughty today so feel free to slap me but I'm sharing lots of pics as I know you will all enjoy having a giggle! Take care Zo xx

Hi Julia, the blue spotty paper looks lovely - I find it hard to resist anything with spots on :) I put sketches/ideas into a notebook of inspiration ... then I forget to look in it!!! I wouldn't waste time and energy on weeds if they are going to be built over either. Have a good week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #51

oooooh pretty papers and gorgeous fibres. And patio, schmatio - life's too short for weeding! :o) Happy WOYWW Annie C #57

I LIKE the look of the greenery coming up between the patio stones, no need to weed it at all. :-D

Hate to tell you this, but 2006 was 9 years ago, not 7. Yipes.

Happy creating and happy woyww,

Glad the little holder is still giving good service. My ATCs are coming along slowly - will be sending some with Annie's parcel for the crop. Hope it goes well and that you have a fab day. x Jo

Loving the blue dot papers. And thanks for mentioning the wipe holder..I have one of these I found stashed away, and wondered what to use it for. Running late in posting as DH had to take a trip to the city really early this AM. And I can't miss the chance for lunch away. Have a fun week. Storms are here AGAIN..have flowers to plant.

New papers, a die and twine! How exciting for you! I'm excited! Love the unweeded, wild, natural state photo of the yard and the almost unnatural state of the desk...it's almost clean! hee hee

So my Bday is May 9, this Sunday, very soon and maybe I'll have new things too! And I survived that meeting, but just barely!

It is getting close now :D I like that you don't want to show the ATC, I think I will do the same with the one that I dicide to send :) Have a lovely week :)

LOL That's my kind of weeding.
Not that I do an awful lot of it.
I usually just offer the boys a little money to do it for me.
