What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 192

For an explanation of this day, every week, check out the page as accessed through the tool bar at left.
Oh my word, as if by magic and to prove that time lapse photography would reveal some action..there's a different dirty mug!  It wasn't full of choc, either.  Coffee is my stimulant.  Apart from all the others.  So now then, there's a card that I'd just finished for a grungy style workshop some time.  And there's my genius storage for the cut 'n' dry foam that I use when using Distress Inks. (is that even a proper sentence?).  No iPad on it's deckchair - it was on charge elsewhere...I was listening to iPlayer from the PC...crikey it's loud!  Real eagle eyes will spot a sample paint tin on the acrylic drawers...it's for a specific project.  Which will wait until I get sick of moving the tin around my desk, no doubt.  Don't be fooled by that wintery sunshine.  It is stinking cold out there and my dear, the wind!  So troublesome!
So there it is, I've been getting colourfully inky and now I want to see what you're up to please.  Connect here by linking your WOYWW titled post.  Please - link what you're doing, not any old post just to inspire traffic.  That traffic arrives and leaves really fast when it can't find your desk...

I think I can see MORE of your desk this morning than any other time in recent recollection, lol!!! Looks like you are very organized, but still our Julia! *wink* Loving the grunge card and all the bits and bobs on your desk this week.

Thank you!!!!

Happy WOYWW to you Julia! Your desk, as always, is bustling with inspiration. My eyes flitted from sight to sight but finally landed on..

the NOTEBOOK!

I think I have one that looks very similar to it on the inside!

I will have to feature some notebooks and journals on an upcoming post!

Have a great day!

Well I thought if I couldn't be number one with Mr Linky I'd be the first to comment but Queenie Jeanie beat me to it! ;D
Oh well...that's just the way today has gone for me...one step forward and three back.
So let me get this straight Julia...you are in the middle of winter right? Because that photo looks so bright! The light looks great! It looks busy there too but then if its cold you can just keep filling that HUGE mug to keep you cosy!
Have a wonderful WOYWW

Typical, I wake at 5am and am too early to link up. I lie in bed trying to sleep until 6am (last weeks time) and give up at 5.50am only to find you posted at 5.45am! ROFL. No Matter, I just about made single figures this week.
I bought the big pink ATG last week from the offer you mentioned (it arrived just after I posted my desk last weel) it has since found a place on my shelves and hasn't been put to use yet so I completely forgot about it until I saw your desk just now! Perhaps next week...
Like the look of you background stamp and would love to see the card in close-up. Happy WOYWW BJ #9

Happy WOYWW. Once daylight comes, then it may be just as bright here - but I know how cold and windy it is. Love your DI thingy storage! Ali x #8

I can see the card but cant quite make out what it is.. will look forward to you linking it.. Great textured stamp and see a little suit card on your easel very cute. Oh now I see the stencil and realise you used it on the card for the background, like that one.

Genius indeed, Julia! I might try and follow that for my sponges for making marks on my backgrounds. I have not yet found the perfect way to organize all those things I like using. I don't think Peggy will be able to post as she's travelling again! She's somewhere in the Holy Land and missing all the fun :^) patsy

Ah yes, the stinkin' wind...we have that here too. Sometimes you can actually see it (okay, it might just be the snow blowing off the top of the mountains, but it sounds more fun to see the wind blow). I DO love your very clever storage for the cut and foam (or whatever we call that). The card looks nifty too! Happy Wednesday.

Well, the sun looks great anyway, even if it is cold; we are expecting more rain...oh fun...lol waving hi from the hills of North Carolina ♥

Morning, Julia. Thought I should make an extra effort to make sure of my comment this week. My storage for that foam and the inky make up alongside less organised than yours, consisting of a single plastic food bag for both. I shall be watching to see that card as it progresses. Thank you for your hospitality this and every other week. xx Maggie #20

The card looks as though it matches your deckchair :) but this little detail is nothing compared with the fact that your desk is wood... I've never seen a glimpse of the surface of your desk before! Could it be that Julia - dare I even suggest it? - is becoming a tidy crafter?

great looking desk this week. I like the idea of putting the pads on the board like that...makes it much easier to find. That’s a nifty bit of storage Julia!
I’ve got into the habit of washing the ones that I’ve used out at the end of the day and then just pick up any sponge for any colour but I guess I’m wasting a lot of ink by doing that really. The other thing I tried was keeping each sponge in its own little labelled bag but I got fed up of having to sort through the lot to find the one I wanted so I guess your idea would work great.

It does look like a really nice sunny day. Still, a bright cold day is better than a dreary cold day. Love the colors on your card. That's one of my favorite color combos. :-)

You have a nice view while crafting! I have often thought of getting one of those large tape dispensers but wonder if they are too heavy and cumbersome. I've been told they work well.
Take care and have a great week :)

I'd love one of those tape dispensers like yours. Blessings!

Greetings Again Julia-
Your little experiment seems to have become the place for people to trade information which I just love....next week I'm going to try to remember to ask how people store their stencils....yay, right. Like I'm going to remember that. You asked why my ink pads had a line drawn across them. The quick answer is I'm lazy and needed to identify my inks as opposed to the shop's ink where I teach a class each month -- I guess that's also the long answer....hope it stays sunny as long as it's cold. It's snowing here which we love. If it's going to be winter it might as well snow!!

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with wind. Sorry, am feeling unenthusiastic today and that's the level I've stooped to.

Like the storage for your DI pads - I have gone over to Dreamweaver brushes for my applications but still have the applicators and foam to fall back on.
Your desk is always so full of lovely things, love the new beaker and the view fro the window is so good. Not got one at home and not got one at my friends either.
Ah well, flying home in a few hours.
Hugs, Neet xx 17

Hi Julia,
I'm a bit late, and a little guilty ... I don't like linking and then not leaving a comment, but I had to do the linking via mobile phone which severely tests my skill and, more to the point, my patience :)
As usual your desk looks interesting with stuff happening. I like the cut n dry storage idea but I'm wondering where that sheet you've stuck them on then gets stored?
Happy late WOYWW,

Hello Julia
I have just signed up to WOYWW! I was introduced to you by ALI H. I have really been inspired by everyone! However I'm a bit of a techno phobe so I hope I'm pressing all the right buttons to set this up!
Thanks again for sharing
