What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 737

The Jumbo jet version, eh? (737). I know, but someone was going to say it!
Lookie lookie right here
Rather a mess, but that's not news is it; I've actually made three cards (on the right near the pink tray) and spent a happy hour yesterday doing some classic stamping and colouring in. I'm trying to always work in multiples, and also to only use scraps. It isn't laborious, but sometimes challenging to make patterns and colours work. But when I can make it work, I'm disproportionately delighted. That is entirely because if I stopped producing scraps today, I reckon I could could continue to make cards from them for at least another year. It's not a challenge I'm about to take on to be honest...every time I make a scrapbook page it produces some amount of scrap, so it's a bit of a cyclical problem. As I'm typing, I wonder if I ought to make a LLJ strip quilt style mega masterboard.  I may actually have to walk around that idea, it's not a bad one for a change! The lovely African gal and her pots are waiting to be cut out and stuck onto as yet undetermined backgrounds. I love her and her colourfulness, she cheers me.  You can't quite see my felt tips in two baskets balanced on top of one another at left, but you can I think quite clearly see the layers at right, the cards and powder tray are on top of the stamps I used, and so it goes. Probably by the time I get to the desk this afternoon, I'll be fed up and horrified by the mess and will be forced to tidy. Another cycle. Ah well, it's not hurting anyone. Although that now very flat coke might cause you to grimace. Sorry!
Share and tell then, it's high time!

Glad you are around early as you will see on my blog Julia. Only using up scraps and working in multiples - sounds like a good challenge to take on. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW Sarah #2

Loved seeing the African girl and the pots. Took me awhile to notice the new cards you made. I love that you are making cards from scraps. I do the same with my index cards (ICADs). I LOVE that you used the metal straw in your coke. Good for the environment, too.

I love the idea of a scrappy master board! You really must do it. Or at least try covering an ugly sheet of card stock as a test? So many scraps cards look loverly so why not? Enjoy the process! Right? Happy Woyww.

Love the African gal! I have just tidied my desk a little as it was SO MESSY last week...Things have been rather chaotic here since we got back from the Whitsundays so didn't manage to comment last week. Will try harder - I am just trying to get this posted before I nip off to Aquarobics...

Its not a mess, its...art at its best! I like to say that so I feel better about my mess...its spreading...dangerously! I have linked but...so far, it won't let me post a comment!

It all sounds good to me Julia, I even quite like flat Coke actually! As long as you can find enough space to work on what does it matter Lol! Wishing you a happy messy Woyww, Angela x9x

We really are flying through these weeks...esp today it seems ;-)
I love to see your creative mess so don't make it too tidy. I love the sound of a Jan styled masterboard....in fact anything about that gal can't be half bad eh?
Hugs,

Good morning!! Cute stamp but only a year to use up your scraps? What am I doing wrong? I feel like I've been at it forever. You must have good light sitting in front of those doors. Have a good week, love n hugs Cindy xx

Ah scraps - just the fodder of a collager! I guess I have been spending the week creating scraps LOL. I've even thought I'd use them on my next scrapbook pages which have sadly gravitated to the shelf to allow me room to do the fodder challenge. I guess I just have to clear up after each bit of crafting due to lack of space and access to the PC. Anyway loving your little ladies and rainbow cards. I really ought to take on your "multiples" with the card making but I did make 2 this week, one already sent as well. Oh and as for the jumbo jet version I had thought it but whoosh it left my brain so when I read yours, I was thinking What??? Oh my life! Hugs BJ #16

That’s not a mess, that’s a work in progress. It’s only a mess when it starts to gather dust!🤣🤣. I am really trying to use up stuff and so far I can’t see any difference 🙁. Have a great week Angela #14

I love your little African girl, Julia, but what a challenge! I always vow to make things only from my existing wool stash but then something new catches my eye and I m off again!
Take care and happy WOYWW

Great desk!! Love the little girls but then again I have stacks of Vera Lane (Janet Klein to you) images, I'm a huge fan as they are soooo easy to cut out!!
Hope you have a great week

Flat Coke, flat anything gives me the ughs! I love my drinks fizzy, even wine has to be sparkling. Strange I am not a glitter person in crafting though.
Love the little African girls, how lovely and colourful they are. You've certainly been a busy bee, productive in the crafting this week, keep it going. Who knows we might even see a "C" Card before long.
Hugs, neet xx 16

A string masterboard sounds like a step too far tbh, at least the fabric versions are larger and a complete square takes no time at all but doing it with small paper strips would do my head in! I like your African gal, she’s a lot nicer than many of these bug eyed characters who I don’t like at all! It would be a boring world if we were all the same eh?!
Hugs LLJ 13 xx

It's a fun desk ! Love the little girl. I was away Tues/WED..xrays on knees and shopping Barely keeping up with his garden products, as I'm in slow motion hobbling. Visited a few tonight as he's at the Stock Car races with some friends. Staying away from steps or go REALLY SLOW so all my crafty stuff is down there. My son and family are in Portugal for a week's vacation. Photos are awesome. He'll be 46 21st..which is in the morning here, but they are no doubt celebrating now. See you Wed/or FB times
